Or if you would like to drive down to the river/pond, you will need to contact us directly for combination to gate. A 4 wheel drive would be needed to do so. The pond, which is located half way down to the river has a dock which offers great bluegil and crappie fishing, or just to sit relax and enjoy.

Wonderful Getaway over the New Year's Eve Holiday!
Every review I saw before we booked this place was right on target. It was clean, great directions, quick response timeframe, well-equipped, and comfortably furnished with the most wonderful river and pond just a short walk away. We will definitely go back. It was near the downtown with fun shops and a quick jaunt to Springer Mountain Trailhead to hike. We loved that this cabin was so dog friendly and that dogs were welcome here. Our dogs are part of our family and we wouldn't dream of leaving them at home. They even have a kennel on site if you needed that. The location of this cabin is such a plus -- just amazing exploring options all around it. In warmer weather we would have been swimming and fishing. We will definitely take our kayaks when we go back. There is a first rate washer/dryer on site which we did not plan on using until one in our party fell into a creekbed. Usually you find the barest minimum of laundry facilities in cabins. The refrigerator was also top notch -- ice maker and water on the door. Loved that each of the 3 levels had a bedroom with own bath. There is a lot of porch sittin' that we didn't get to because of the weather, but there are lovely rockers on the main level porch that was already gated off to make a nice outdoor enclosure for the dogs. There is really no better place to submerge yourself in nature than in BlueRidge in this cabin. I hope it stays somewhat of a secret. I loved that they leave a vacuum out just in case -- we travel with a dustbuster, but wouldn't have if we would have known there was a vacuum to use...just putting that out there for other people who like to leave it like they found it. Wish we would have had another day to play all the games on the lower level....left a reason to go back and can't wait.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GREAT REVIEW! We are happy you enjoyed your visit to Blue Ridge.

No Disappointment Here!
The cabin was outfitted with everything imaginable for a comfortable visit. It was true to the description and pictures in the listing. Location could not be better for trips to Blue Ridge, yet private. The fishing area at the Toccoa was park-like and beautiful. For the fisherman, getting to the bank and getting in and out of the water was easy. The river provides shallow shoals as well as deeper trough fishing with plenty of riffles and current shifts accommodating both wet and dry flies or even live bait. As a reminder, be sure to check the TVA dam release schedule before entering the river…water level rises quickly during a release. The walk from the cabin to the Toccoa was pleasant…the walk back was a cardio workout, this is not a complaint, merely a comment by two folks that should be in better shape! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will not hesitate to return.

Spring Break in Blue Ridge
We spent 5 days in this cabin over spring break with my 2 boys and my parents from Florida. Everyone had plenty of space and the set up of the cabin worked really well for the kids and grandparents alike to have privacy. The owners were very easy to work with and responded to our questions in a timely manner. The cabin was very comfortable and had plenty of towels and extra blankets for those chilly nights. It was in a great location with easy access to Blue Ridge. We brought an inflatable kayak and spent some time on the pond fishing and would have tried some river fishing but the weather had different ideas! Even so, we had a great time playing pool and games in the cabin. We took a day trip to the town of Helen and visited Helton Creek Falls on our way back. Beautiful falls and worth the crazy one lane 2 mile gravel road to get there. We also visited Fall Branch Falls (a little closer to the cabin) and enjoyed a rainy hike! We had a dusting of snow one day and saw 4 deer passing thru behind the cabin. Always fun to see wildlife! Overall a great stay!
We are happy you enjoyed your visit! THANK YOU for the great review.

Great place to stay! No neighbors. Quiet. Tranquil.
I’m not usually one to take the time to review a property after a vacation but this house is worth the time! This is one of the nicest places we’ve rented. It seems like the owners truly care about their house and take pride in making sure their guests have the best experience possible. My experience with rental properties is usually half of the things Are broken, the appliances are seriously outdated, it’s rarely cleaned to my standards, and the kitchen is poorly stocked. The exact opposite is true of this house. They thought of everything. The house was immaculate, the appliances were nice and the kitchen was VERY well stocked (I even found scotch tape)!! The only complaint my family had was the pool sticks weren’t in great shape, but since I’m sure kids use them and abuse them that’s to be expected.
The property itself is quiet and beautiful. We hiked down to the river several times and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and the first signs of spring.
The owners are super quick to respond to questions and concerns too. When we arrived we couldn’t figure out how to get the arcade game to work so I emailed the owners and had a response within an hour. They offered to send someone over the next morning. My teenage son figured out what we were doing wrong and we enjoyed playing the old games all weekend!
I spent many quiet mornings rocking on the deck with my coffee. We also went into the town of Blue Ridge. Very quaint little town with lots of shops but not overly tourist-y.
Overall this was a great experience and a fun family getaway for my family!
