3500 Square Foot cabin located directly on the world famous White River in North Central Arkansas.
This river has wonderful opportunities for trout fishing, canoeing, rafting, and other river sports. The cabin is ideal for large family reunions, church retreats, two families sharing, and large groups of friends.
It can be rented as a whole, or in two separate units. The cabin has been decorated with a combination of antiques, local artwork and cabin accessories to make it a comfortable, nostalgic atmosphere.
Side A is the original cabin and has a kitchen, living room with rock fireplace, queen bedroom downstairs, queen bedroom in loft, sleeping porch with 4 twin beds and pull out sofabed, 1 bathroom.
Side B is new but in the same rustic style. It has a master bedroom with king bed, sitting area, master bath, laundry room, kitchen, garage, upstairs it has a queen bedroom with sitting area, and a game room with tv/gathering area and 2 full beds, 1 bathroom upstairs.
Both sides can be rented and they connect; or either side can be rented alone.
There are lots of other entertainment options available such as Blanchard Springs Caverns (about 5 miles), Blue Grass Music on the Square, Ozark Mountain Folk Center, and many live music shows.
My husband and I live in Little Rock and are building contractors. We also have a cattle farm but love spending time at the White River. We love to relax and enjoy the local music and shopping; my husband is a dominoe player and has found a group he enjoys playing with in Mt. View. The people are great! We like to take in the local high school basketball games when we can.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2004
We think the mountains are beautiful and the area just has a lot to offer. It's laid back and rustic but has shopping, shows, music and many other things to do. There are lots of festivals throughout the year as well. For us, it's far enough away for relaxing, yet not so far that we have to spend a lot of time driving.
We enjoy the large space we have; when we have family and friends along, there's plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. We can sit on the back porch drinking coffee and watching the fishing boats drift by for hours. Reading in the hammock is another favorite activity.
Wonderful property and location. We stayed on side B and the big bedrooms were perfect for our small group. This is a lovely cozy cabin. Well done!
We have rented both parts of this property multiple times and made some wonderful family memories. The two kitchens and the spacious rooms make this a great family rental where everyone can have their own space. Also, the three outside patio areas provide a gorgeous view of the White River.
Just returned from a weekend at side B---it was fantastic!!! My husband and I along with our youngest son and his wife spent the weekend here. The cabin setting was lovely with a great view of the river in a peaceful location. It was well stocked, very clean and had everything we could have asked for. The cabin is in a good location, as it is close to town, restaurants, the caverns, etc. Brenda was easy to deal with and always answered her phone with a quick response to our questions. We definitely plan on returning to enjoy this place and would highly recommend it anyone. All of our Cajun friends want to come and along with all the crawfish, gumbo and boudin we need for our next stay.
Brenda, thanks for ordering up such ideal weather, we enjoyed a low of 50 and the highs were only in the mid 70's
There is more to this house than the photo's show. We rented both sides of the house and it was perfect for us. Our group encluded 5 couples, we all agreed the layout allowed us to have our own space, yet come together without being on top of each other. Both kitchens are well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, family games, movies, ping pong table, yard games, etc... We all loved sitting out on the back porch looking out over the White River. It is close enough to resturants, grocery stores, gas stations, fishing and entertainment. We are planning on returning at least once a year however, I will be asking for an extended check out time, hated having to leave by 10 am.
This cabin was large and beautiful and the area is very peaceful. Plenty of room, they are not exaggerating on the 16-20 people. We didn't have that many but we could have fit them. We had lovely weather and used the charcoal grill and the porch. We hiked, swam (Blanchard Springs and Greers Ferry), fished, shopped, and went horseback riding. The Ozark's are very pretty but everything is a drive. If you are looking to come to this area, I highly recommend this cabin!
