The area around Ludwigstraße is a very green , trees are on both sides of the street and its quiet at night. It is an old conservation area with many listed buildings dating back to the Founder-District of Leipzig. Most of the houses were built between 1880 and the turn of the 19th Century. Our house was built in 1896; it has 10 apartments, of which 6 are finished.
All the rooms get lots of daylight and have wooden, double-glazed windows. The trees in front of the house keep it cool during the summer months.
The staircase is old and still has the old wooden steps, which are comfortable to use. There is no smoking allowed in the flats, please use the garden instead. This is especially important as we have a lot of families staying with us.
The trams into the city are 200 meter away and the 4th stop is main station (Hauptbahnhof). You only need 15 minutes to reach the city centre. The S -Bahn (city train) in Leipzig goes to Halle and many other destinations. There are 2 great restaurants nearby in Eisenbahnstrasse one is called Mr Wok, and the other is called "Brothers". Both are clean modern and friendly - with great menus, including take-aways, and low prices.
