La Maisonette means “intimate cottage.” This cottage is just that! Indeed, we’re betting that you’ll choose to frequently return.

It's easy for everyone to do what they wish. You may choose to relax on the intimate garden patio while your family/friends walk to shop.

The cottage has a well-equipped cute kitchen with a dishwasher and garbage disposal. The washer and dryer are new and in the utility room. Each bedroom sleeps two-one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds which can be put together as needed.

NOTE: This property has been inspected by the Saugatuck Township Fire Department and is registered with the City & the Fire Department as an APPROVED short-term rental property.

La Maisonette is truly a special place. If you’re visiting to shop, visit the many festivals, or to enjoy the restaurants and galleries, then this is the place for you. This is simply a convenient location (maybe 50-75 yards from downtown), and is a popular place to stay in town.

Walk to Saugatuck’s inviting downtown, and enjoy the restaurants, shops and galleries all within a few short blocks. Then enjoy the quiet ambience as you stroll the short walk home. Or drive a short distance to Oval Beach, Douglas or the many surrounding attractions. You’ll love La Maisonette!

Families as well as couples enjoy this area's safe and friendly environment and many attractions and amenities. Easy stroller access to the well-equipped downtown children's playground is one reason parents love this location.

In addition to its many art galleries, Saugatuck hosts the nationally-acclaimed Waterfront Film Festival each June. The Waterfront Film Festival is rated by SAG Indie, the Screen Actor’s Guild, as one of the top 5 film festivals along with Sundance, Cannes, South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, and Cinevegas in Las Vegas.

The Saugatuck Center for the Arts is ACROSS THE STREET and hosts outstanding musicians, concerts, plays and art exhibits in its theatre and gallery every weekend.

This cottage is also across the street from the very popular Green Market held every summer Friday featuring local farmers and artisan producers, aimed at providing fresh, high quality food.

The Keewatin Maritime Museum is the home of the retired steamer SS Keewatin, a 350-foot Titanic-era steamship vessel that just turned 100 years old and houses an intriguing maritime museum!

Pick and enjoy eating your own fresh and luscious blueberries or apples from nearby fields, or perhaps visit the local winery or microbrewery for a fun-filled afternoon.

If you enjoy the outdoors or sports, this area offers three 18-hole championship golf courses and scenic dunes and shorelines for hiking, biking, or walking. On one hike, you can climb 282 steps to the top of Mount Baldhead, a sand dune featuring a stunning view of the harbor and lake! Fishing charters offer the opportunity to fish for salmon, trout, pike, and perch.

Saugatuck is well-known for its many art galleries (it’s consistently named one of American's top 25 arts destinations) and its wide array of dining choices including both gourmet and casual family restaurants.

This area is the home of great summer memories, spectacular color in the Autumn, and inviting snow-mantled streets for the winter holidays and weekends.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay. The location could not be better if you plan to spend time in the downtown area. It is a short walk to all the shops and bars/restaurants. It is also quiet because it is at the end of a dead end street and surrounded by a wooded area. The driveway is a huge bonus. The house was adorable, clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful place to stay in Saugatuck

  • 5 of 5

This was a very nice place to stay so close to downtown Saugatuck. You can leave your car there and walk everywhere. Nice, clean 2 BR home. The host was so nice, and had great suggestions on where to go.

Perfect location in a great town!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this rental property, only minutes away from downtown Saugatuck. The house had everything we could have possibly needed and was in a great location. It was nice and quiet, yet downtown restaurants and nightlife were right around the corner. The patio area was great to come back to after a long day at the beach. Plenty of room for sleeping and blow-up mattresses if needed. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks Chris!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This place is perfect for a relaxing vacation in Saugatuck! We stayed here recently for a girls weekend and we had plenty of space for four of us. I am going to say that I have rented many places over the years and this by far was the BEST rental experience I have ever had. The property is clean, up to date, and has everything you will need to have a great stay. The owner, (Chris), has thought of everything. He was super accommodating and easy to work with. I have already recommended this property to several co-workers and friends and I hope they book with him. The off street parking is fabulous since parking is a scarce commodity in the downtown area, it is a short ride to the beach and a short walk home from the restaurants and bars. We popped over to Douglas for an amazing dinner at Everyday People and I would recommend adding this to to your list when you are in town. We can't wait to come back next year and do it all over. Thanks Chris!!!
