About the property

Lodge, 6 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 5 bathrooms, (Sleeps 10-18)

Awesome 5 bedrooms 'plus library', 4000 sq ft cedar home on Lake Charlevoix's north shore with million dollar sunsets every night. The master suite is 600 sq ft with Jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace, private balcony, king bed and a great sitting area to relax away from it all complete with flat screene tv. The other 5 bedrooms have queens beds , one with a set of bunk beds and with an additional twin bed plus sliding glass door that you can walkout to the beach. All but one have lake view.

This home is unique with three different great rooms. The kitchen/family room is fun to cook and entertain in, while the dinning/living room with it's large field stone wall is a great place to feel 'up-north' in, and last but not least is the walkout game room. Play pool, foosball, darts, pin ball, or just relax in the sitting area of the game room. This area along with the family room have sofa sleepers for additional sleeping. The library has a queen bed and is semi-private also. The kitchen/family room and the game room have flat screen t.v./dvd players with video libraries.

The real fun is the beach !! Play ping pong or volleyball in the sand or horseshoes in the yard. The gazebo has a bar counter and sitting area in the shade or lay out on the sand catching a tan. The camper is ideal for a family and sleeps 6-8. The firepit is also in the sand so purchase some wood (onsite or nearby) and have a campfire! Bring your speed boat and use the 3600 lb inboard/outboard boat hoist for all your water sports . There's a pontoon deck anchored out in the water with a water slide and a mini tramp for every age to play on. Enjoy the warm hot tub late at night and watch for shooting stars. We keep it hot at 98 degrees so the kids can play in it all day. You can also crank it up to 104 to sooth those aching muscles.

This home is ideal for those who want to get everyone together for a perfect indoor/outdoor, waterfront vacation! We call this home 'The Reunion Lodge'. This is where we have our reunions.

Sleeps 20 !!

Felt like home!

  • 5 of 5

Spent three nights with sixteen people at Liz & Bob's home for our annual up north get away. The house is obviously well cared for and the pictures do not do it justice. The layout makes it perfect for your group to be able to spread out or centralize with no issues. Best pool table of all the homes we've stayed at!

It snowed quite a bit on the day of our check-out and Bob came and plowed the property. One of our vehicles got stuck in the driveway and Bob and Liz's son graciously came over and helped get it out. Similar to the pool table, Bob and Liz were the best owners we have ever dealt with.

Would recommend!

Our Winter Get Away

  • 5 of 5

This February we rented this wonderful home for our annual ski trip. The home is absolutely beautiful! The how is very spacious and make it easy for large groups to converse and hang out! I highly recommend stay here if you get a chance. The owners were very friendly and responsive to any inquiries about the home. We will be going back every year from now on as long as it is open for us! GREAT PLACE FOR GREAT TIMES!!!!

This was voted the best place we've ever rented! Every place we looked there was a comfy place to read, chat or nap! My 8 grandkids had a blast jumping off the dock and playing in the sand pit. The upper deck was the perfect spot to play Euchre and the Tiki Bar lakeside was the favorite gathering spot for our 5:00 cocktail hour. The kitchen even had a griddle and TWO refrigerators! Young State Park provided a good running trail and a fun morning at the beach. Boyne City was close and fun to browze. We suggest bringing swim shoes though to ease your way on the rocky shoreline. Many memories were made here and we hope to return! This place really understands the needs of a large group!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the affirmation of what we have created here on Lake Charlevoix. This coming weekend, Labor Day weekend, we will have well over twenty friends and family staying with us. You are right, many fond memories will be made again as our group is now bringing a third generation of children. Bob the Owner

Lodge Review

  • 4 of 5

Lots of activities to keep our family busy--9 adults and 3 children. Kids (ages 9, 7 and 6) enjoyed the hidden playroom, toys, sand beach and hot tub. Adults enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and horseshoes. We spent a lot of time on the deck by the beach and at the fire pit in the evenings. Kitchen well-equipped. Lots of room inside for all of us. Wish the water entry wasn't so rocky. Also, lake was wavy most of the time.

Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time at this beautiful home on Lake Charlevoix. It is perfectly set up for large groups. The home is clean, well maintained, and has all the amenities to make you feel like it's your home away from home. Bob did a great job to make sure our questions were answered, and that we were comfortable. A great place!

Great Space, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the reunion lodge. There was plenty of space for everyone. The owner was responsive and helpful. The location was phenomenal. Only flaw was that there were only two showers for 14 people. We would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: What Kristen did not say was that the water pipes were frozen when they arrived, my bad, I turned the heat down and forgot to turn it up before they arrived. Fortunately there were no broken pipes but it took awhile for me to thaw them out. And then the kitchen sink faucet sprung a leak! So a few more hours and the sink was fixed. Their whole clan was great, helping me with the pipes and the faucet, but she does have a good point about the showers. There are two half baths and two full baths in the lodge. When my whole family comes, which is 20 strong, we take turns and keep the showers going. The lodge has a boiler, so hot water is not the issue. But I am looking at adding another full bath in the future. Thanks again Kristen for your feedback, it doesn't always go so smooth, but I'm always ready to fix any issue that arises. Bob
