Remodeled 2Bedrm/2Bath w/ Beach Umbrellas & Chairs & Kids Beach Toys Crystal Pier, Life Guard station 12, and a clean beach - just add your family. Cozy beach condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms is ideal for a small family with children. The condo is the perfect size for a couple with 2 children, and you can squeeze up to 2 more people as the couches expand to full sized beds. Bed linens and towels are provided, you will just need to bring your own beach towels.
When you return from the beach for the evening, you can sit on the deck and enjoy the ocean breeze and live music on Saturday nights (until 10 pm) from the Oceanic Restaurant. Cross over the avenue and it's a minute walk to make memories on the beach - the smell of salt water and sunscreen will put you in the summer mind frame. Surfboard and Stand up Paddleboard rentals are available next door at the surf shop if you would like to experience the fun.
You can bring one of the beach chairs to sit and enjoy the ocean breeze or read your favorite magazine or book and forget the world's problems.
If you up for an adventure, go to nearby Masonboro Island which is located at the Southern Tip of the island and it is the largest undisturbed barrier island along southern NC’s coast. Masonboro Island includes endangered loggerhead sea turtles and shorebirds.
You can take EcoWalks, Bird Tours, and explore the Nature trails. The North End of the Island has Mason Inlet Water Bird Management Area where you can observe American Oystercatchers, Black Skimmers and Least Terns.
If you feel like leaving the beach you can take a sunset cruise with narrated pirate storytelling. Or go chartered fishing for Red drum, Flounder, Trout, Cobia, Tarpon and Shark.
While the Island is certainly known for its sun, sand and surf, shopping is also top among our visitors’ itineraries. As you travel around Wrightsville Beach and nearby Wilmington, you'll discover inviting galleries and shops showcasing products unique to the area.
Sunshine and salt air spark the appetite and nearby restaurants offer everything from gourmet dining to flip-flop casual.
I love family fun so the condo is set up to relax in and go out to the beach and have some fun. Your friends can watch you vacation on beach webcam - check it out at the South End Surf - this is the area of the beach out front where this picture was taken of us swimming.
John or Denise purchased this condo in 2009
easiest beach to get to driving from anywhere west - it's immediately off of I-40 no back-roads and no traffic congestion getting there.
roll out of bed, cross the street and you are on the beach, near one of the best restaurants - the Oceanic and next to surf shop where you can rent a board if you don't already have one.
We had a fantastic time at this great place. We went to the Early Bird Special at the Bridge Tender and had a great meal for $17 each. I'd highly recommend it. The weather was great and the front porch was fun to
use for a beer and talking. The location was great.
Very clean condo, and the owners were very helpful.
Condo is clean and beds are comfortable. We really enjoyed using their bikes to explore the island. We will definitely be coming back! Next time we hope to use the kayaks and paddle boards. John and Denise accessible via email and texts. Thanks for sharing this little piece of heaven!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this condo! The owner, John, was very responsive. Not only did we enjoy the proximity of it to the beach (located directly across the street from a beach access point), but we really appreciated how clean it was and all of the additional amenities that were provided such as linens, towels, paper towels, Kleenex, toilet paper, dish soap, beach cart, etc. The wifi and cable in one of the bedrooms did not work during our stay, but none of these issues effected the quality of our stay. The coffee shop next door, Sun Days, was amazing and my husband and I enjoyed a latte from there every day. And though we chose to drive into the "town" area to eat at night, we took walks to this area and beyond every morning (it took close to 25 minutes on foot). Our favorite restaurants included Vito's Pizza and Tower 7 and the Original Ice Cream Stand was also a hit! The closest grocery store, Food Lion, was only a 10-minute drive away and downtown Wilmington merely a 30-minute drive. The parking was extremely tight for us (we drive a Honda Odyssey), but thankfully we did not incur any accidents. The condo itself is also very small and my family and I never truly felt relaxed because there was not enough room to spread out and for my kids to run (ages 4 and 2). And though we had planned before arriving to only eat breakfast there, my family and I could not have eaten there comfortably due to the size and lack of table chairs. Nor would the kitchen area have been large enough to cook in. That being said, aside from being too small for my particular family and our likings, if my husband and I are to embark on a future vacation to Wrightsville Beach without our kids, we definitely hope this condo is still available to rent and would stay again just the two of us.
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was the perfect size for the two of us. We really liked the location. The coffee shop next door - Sun Days - was a neat place to go. The wifi was out so we went next door to use theirs. We liked that they supplied beach chairs, bikes and kayaks. We will definitely stay here next time we come visit our son again in Wilmington.
This little condo was perfectly located next to a surf shop, where we actually took lessons from, and a coffee shop that we went to every morning. It's across the street from the beach and ocieanic restaurant (great mojitos!) The condo had cruiser bikes that we used to go down the street to more shops, food and bars. It also had SUP and kayaks that would be nice for the inlet a little walk behind the condo.
It was quiet at night and everyone around was nice. Wrightsville is so much different than the big commercial beaches like Myrtle and Clearwater (which I like it their own way). No giant hotels down the beach. Tons to do when is nice out. Downtown Wilmington is an easy 20-25 min drive away.
Condo wasn't huge but was perfect for us two girls and my brother who spent one of the nights with us on the futon. I imagine it would work nicely for a couple with 1-2 young kids too.
Awesome location, lots of toys, comfy bed! I would stay again.
Great location and great beach amenities. Plan to stay longer than expected to be able to use the kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, and beach supplies!
This rental property had pretty much everything that we needed. Although some of the living space was tight -- they fit a lot of furniture (beds, futons) into a small amount of space, it was perfect for a family of 4. It was very close to the beach which we loved. The owners provided everything that we needed for the beach and had a nice set of 4 bikes which were fun to use in the evening. Unfortunately, we didn't stay long enough to try out the kayaks. The only thing that would have been nice is if the kitchen had been larger. I found it difficult to cook in. The kitchen table only had 2 seats as well, making it difficult to sit down as a family for dinner. Once discovered, we ate out most nights. The front porch was also a nice feature after a day at the beach.
