Absolutely wonderful! We are already trying to plan a trip back!

  • 5 of 5

Coming up the drive at night was a little thrilling (steep)! Once we got there, everyone fell in love and was taken aback by the beauty. We loved every minute of our stay and the camaraderie gained from our time there. I cannot wait to go back!

Well stocked, great get away, love the porches!

  • 5 of 5

Be aware the drive up to the house is 3/4 mile, one lane, combination of pavement and gravel. The address is well marked. Arrive before dark if you can.

We spent as much time on the porches as possible, playing games, relaxing, and watched the grandson experience rain for the first time.

I cooked nearly every meal, and the kitchen is well equipped. Bathrooms are spacious and well stocked. If you have small children downstairs, you may want to bring a baby gate to block the stairs.

Look for the notebook with info on the house, the owners, and the area - very informative.

The remotes for fans and lights gave us a little trouble but overall enjoyed our family time very much!

Nice getaway

  • 3 of 5

The house was very comfortable and well stocked. Would have liked to see the house cleaner. A word of warning.... the road to the house is narrow and steep, a four wheel drive vehicle would be a good idea.

Perfect mountain retreat

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd year in a row staying at this home. We love the well equipped kitchen, lots of outdoor seating, being able to open the doors and windows to let in the fresh air, and the giant fireplaces. This home is very cozy and perfect for spending time with a group.

Beautiful but Broken

  • 1 of 5

We thought the cabin was beautiful however we were disappointed that so many things were broken or inadequate. This included missing or burned out lights, very very slow internet, faucets that did not work properly and the hot tub taking almost a day to heat up. When we discovered these things after we arrived, we tried calling two phone numbers they provided, however no one responded. Additionally, we emailed our concerns but did not hear back until the next day. Hopefully all of these issues will be addressed so the next guests will have a better experience.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. I check the cabin after each stay to be sure everything is working and I try to respond to any problems as soon as I am aware. when I arrived to clean I found one light out. We provide the only internet service available on our mountain, the instructions for operating the hot tub are on a laminated card next to the tub.

Beautiful home, away from it all

  • 5 of 5

We had 6 adults and 2 kids (1yo and 2yo) we had tons of room! For future renters with kids, the deck is 100% safe for kids, there's one set of stairs in the house but there's a door that can be locked (and I brought a baby gate which we used at the bottom of the stairs). The drive up is (like everyone mentioned) steep, but nothing crazy. We saw deer everyday.
