Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband, our 11 year old son and I had the pleasure of staying at Starz Vineyard the first week of July, for one week. The cottage is very nice (well-supplied, well-maintained and clean) and was quite spacious for the three of us. It was nice having a kitchen to prepare some meals and the extra room made for a relaxing time. The views out every window are wonderful! We found our hosts to be extremely pleasant and accommodating, and we looked forward to the warm welcome we would always get from their two four-footed friends! We also found the location of the cottage a bonus, as we quite enjoyed spending time at the little park and beach at the bottom of the hill. We look forward to staying at Starz Vineyard again in the future!

A trip to the Okanagan is always anticipated with great pleasure when you know you're going to be staying at the Starz Winery.

Stewart & Tina truly make it feel like a home away from home with its relaxing, friendly atmosphere.

We have now stayed several time and look forward to our next visit!!

We don't want to leave!!!

  • 5 of 5

After spending an amazing two months at the Starz Vineyard I can honestly say leaving here is going to be hard. We feel like we are part of the family. From the day we arrived we were greeted with warmth and kindness. I am grateful that the owners welcomed us into their home, for us it really was a home away as we were in the midst of relocating to Penticton and waiting to move into the house we purchased. Having two small children as well I thought the transition from moving from the coast away from our family to the Okanagan was going to be hard, but Stuart and Tina made the transition so much easier for us. The carriage home is warm and welcoming. They have everything you need here to make your stay comfortable, including amazing wine! My son was in heaven going for tractor rides and lending a helping hand in the vineyard. Stuart even made him a snow hill to toboggan on :) We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay at the Starz Vineyard. I am happy we aren’t moving too far away because we have made lifelong friends and if we ever need an adult weekend away we know where to go.

Wonderful home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our month stay on the Starz Vineyard. The beautiful property is located in the middle of a working vineyard. It was fun to be around during harvest. We also were able to enjoy some wine from last year's harvest. The home has everything you need to enjoy and relax. The region has incredible bike routes, walking trails and access to the beach and Lake Skaha. It is also very conviently located to Penticton, Okanagan Falls as well as the outstanding wineries and restaurants located within the Naramata Bench and Okanagan Falls. The landlord Stuart is always around working on his projects. He made us feel right at home.

Awsome location!

Are you looking for a beautiful place with very nice people ? You found it !

We have stayed this year the whole May on the STARZ vineyard and we had a great time! The landlords Stuart and Tina make you feel like home. My daughter was scared of even small bugs but after a week she was running alone outside with the dogs and was feeding the horse (it needs a little while but she was riding on the horse too). Tina spent a lot of time with our daughter by teaching her english and painting with chalk on the driveway. I had some good wine tastings and talks with Stuart and learned a lot about wine (thanks for that) . It is a quite place with a wonderful surrounding. We had every few days barbecue on the balcony, enjoying the view on the vineyard and the hole area. You have everything that you need in this clean and spacious house also for a longer stay, just come and enjoy.

We absolutely recommend this place! *****

(My daughter is still missing the time with Tina)

Peace + quiet close to Hockey school!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year staying at Starz. I love the 10-15 minute drive to town to Hockey school where it is very busy and action packed. In a few short minutes we are in a private carriage house on a beautiful property. Lake access is 3 mins drive down the hill and the beach is very family friendly and not busy like most beaches in July in Penticton. We love the laundry to keep down the amount of stuff we have to bring and keep the hockey smell bearable. Stuart is a great host!

AWESOME time!, all great, no complaints!

  • 5 of 5

Very nice time had by my family and myself. We had a wedding in Penticton and although most guests stayed in the hotel in town, we were happy and fortunate that we made the choice to stay here in Kaleden. This allowed us to "get away" from the festivities when we wanted to. If we had a couple of drinks (which we did at the wedding, . . . Starz Vineyard was only a $40 cab ride away (a bargain in my opinion).

Our hosts were wonderful and hospitable, we were greeted with a glass of homemade wine upon our arrival and after that we were left to ourselves to do whatever we wished. There were pets around that if you wanted to you could play with them (my daughter of course did). We learnt about the history of the vineyard as well as the surrounding area of Kaleden itself.

We had one guest over for dinner one night and on another occasion, other guests from the wedding came for a visit and they all were equally impressed with the choice we made in choosing Starz Vineyard as our home base for the week.

All the amenities that one could want were available, everything listed in the description was accurate, the property was clean and very well maintained. I would recommend this rental to anyone.

Again, absolutely wonderful, would return again and again, thank you very much to our hosts - Stuart and Tina, cheers till we see you again!
