This 650 sq. ft. 1-bedroom condo is in the heart of San Diego's safe and people-friendly Hillcrest neighborhood. Available for monthly (or longer) rentals only, it is walkable to restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and several supermarkets, as well as to Balboa Park including the world-famous San Diego Zoo. San Diego's Medical Area is close by and the condo is a favorite for medical professionals who need to be close to the hospitals. Full of morning light, it has a beautiful view of the mountains to the east.
The condo is centrally located, just a five-minute drive from downtown San Diego, the Convention Center, Petco Ballpark and the charming Gaslamp Quarter. It's a ten minute drive from the airport, and fifteen minutes from the beach and SeaWorld. It's also one block from four major bus lines, giving access to all parts of the city. This condo is ideal for the business traveler on an extended trip who wants something more personal than a hotel, as well as for those working at the nearby Medical Centers in Hillcrest and Mission Hills. (1 month or more, longer stays are easier to secure far in advance). For the vacationer, it is convenient to all major attractions, making it perfect for a stay in 'America's Finest City.' Please note: This apartment is pet-free, so if you are allergic to animals, this apartment would be a good option for you. Security Deposit is $1250.00 for rentals of >30 days. If you are renting for only 1-month, the security deposit is $500, so be sure to ask about the deposit when inquiring about the condo. We want to be accommodating, whenever possible, to ensure that you have a pleasant stay at the condo. Security deposits are generally returned, minus $150 cleaning fee, within 14 days after termination of tenancy.
The bedroom has a queen-sized iComfort bed and its own flat-screen television and BluRay player. There is an Apple TV module for tenants to use to access their own streaming service(s) while staying here. There is plenty of closet space for even those who travel with lots of clothes.
FYI: Hillcrest is extremely welcoming and supportive of the LGBT community, and the condo is minutes away from its community center, nightspots and clubs.

Perfect apartment for our needs
Michael and Bob have outfitted a one bedroom apartment to be a great home away from home. We live out of town and needed a place to stay while taking care of an ill family member. The apartment has an updated kitchen and bath and lots of storage. They put a lot of attention into the details both in the apartment and in their interactions with the renter. Location was convenient and with easy access to stores and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!
Home Away From Home!
We stayed at Michael's home for a month, and his home worked perfectly for our needs.
When we first walked in, we were first struck by how clean the unit was, and how it looked exactly as shown in the pictures. It had everything that one would want. There obviously was thought put into it's amenities. The kitchen was complete with everything needed to make meals in-house. The living area couch and chairs and eating areas were all comfortable. There was good lighting, and plenty of outlets for our electronic devices. The bedroom had plenty of closet and dresser space, and the queen bed was fantastic - it was super comfortable. The bathroom was a good size, and had major counter space. Water pressure was great, the shower was great, and there were plenty of supplies.
Michael was an outstanding host. He was very communicative, and always responsive in a quick way to my e-mails and texts. When we checked in, he met us, and went thru everything that we needed to know about the home, and the area.
I would give Michael's home 5 stars. We would rent this location again!
Great place, great location
The property was very nice. It felt like home. This place is in a great location. Everything you need is in the area. The beaches are 15 minutes away and the grocery stores are 5 minutes away. The condo is stocked with everything you need. The owner is amazing and made sure that I didn't need anything. I definitely recommend staying here.
Small but Surprisingly Big . . . and Lovely
We spent two months in the Georgia St. condo as we were waiting for work to be done on our condo. The Georgia St. condo isn't very large but we were very pleasantly surprised on how much storage space there was, as we had lots of stuff with us. Beyond that, the unit is very nicely furnished . . . every item in it seems thoughtfully selected . . . and the view of the mountains to the east is lovely. The living area was very comfortable and the desk in it provided a good place for us to use our laptop and printer. The kitchen worked quite well for us -- good stove, large fridge, decent pantry space. The building itself is quiet. The owner was very responsive to issues . . . we only had a few and they were quite minor . . . and resolved all of them quickly. The location is excellent. It's within easy walking distance of a very good supermarket (Sprouts) and the Sunday Hillcrest Farmers Market and not far from other stores, restaurants and Balboa Park. The only downside . . . and it's a situation that is totally outside the control of the condo owner and hopefully will be ending soon . . . is that there was construction activity, at times at night and quite noisy, on the bridge that's at Georgia St. and University Ave., less than a block away.
Excellent Furnished Accommodation
We were looking for accommodation near Balboa Park and on good public transport routes and this apartment fulfilled those criteria. It was also tastefully furnished, with everything we needed for cooking and laundry, and extremely comfortable. We couldn't have done better. We also loved the Hillcrest neighbourhood with the funky shops and great restaurants. We could walk to University Heights as well. Michael, the owner, was very helpful. We really enjoyed our month's stay.
Convenience & Location
I spent the month of August, in this Hillcrest Apartment which had all the conveniences of home. Centrally located with several public transportation options available within one block, this home base was perfect for exploring the University Heights neighborhood, Hillcrest and a very doable walk to Balboa Park. The owner, Michael was very responsive and available when needed and provided an extensive list of neighborhood shopping and eateries within walking distance. It definitely is a great location for an extended stay in this trendy San Diego area. I'd highly recommend this rental.
1 block from four major bus lines (routes 1, 7, 10 and 11), offering direct access to San Diego Trolley, and Santa Fe Depot and Old Town Train Stations. Near the Hillcrest Medical Center hospitals, walkable to Balboa Park, with dozens of restaurants and bars nearby.
