About Ann Evans

My husband and I moved to Isle of Palms in 1996 to raise our two kids and absolutely love the island. I am a local real estate agent and my husband owns and operates the web site wwwCoastalHomePlans.com. I have been a member of the Island Turtle Team saving the Loggerhead turtles since 1999.

Ann Evans purchased this condo in 2006

Why Ann Evans chose Charleston Area

This condo on Isle of Palms is perfect for anyone visiting the Isle of Palms and the Charleston area as a whole. We bought the property and since we have owned it the entire condo has been redone. Most recently the kitchen has been upgraded with new cabinets, all new appliances and granite countertops. The bathroom was totally gutted and redone. The tub is all ceramic tile to the ceiling and the floors are ceramic too. The bedroom has all new furniture and new carpet every year. The entire condo is ceramic tile throughout and all new fixtures. If you are coming on vacation this is the perfect spot. In the condo complex it's in "Ocean Inn" - some folks say ours is the nicest unit in both buildings. Come stay with us you will love it!!

What makes this condo unique

Talk about Island benefits. From this condo you can not only walk to the beach 1/2 block, multiple restaurants and shops but the Isle of Palms Marina is 2 miles away. From the Marina you can have lunch, rent a boat, jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, or go on a parasailing or fishing adventure. On top of that the condo is a 20 minute ride to Downtown Charleston ranked the #1 City in the country and the world in 2014 and 2015. Huge bonus for anyone coming to visit. There are over 2000 Antebellum homes downtown Charleston, too many restaurants to count, historic carriage tours, walking tours, ghost tours, minor league baseball "Riverdogs" co-owned by Bill Murray, Waterfront park all along Charleston Harbor. Be sure to come for enough time to get a great taste of the Charleston area. Can't wait to have you stay.

We loved the location.

  • 4 of 5

The location was perfect for us: easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Also easy access to the bridge to/from the condo. No beach view, but that wasn't a deciding factor for us.

The updated kitchen is nice and we prepared a few meals there. Had most things that we needed (including paper towels, dishwasher detergent, coffee filters) , but wish that there were basic staples like salt/pepper, sugar, cooking oil. Difficult to bring all these things when flying.

There were some nice extras like beach towels, beach chairs, bath soaps, info about local area, etc. The WiFi worked great (we travel with several devices).

The main bed was comfortable and the fans/air conditioning were bonuses.

The only downsides were the pull-out couch and the dining table. The pull-out couch has seen better days: our teen girls had to find creative ways to get comfortable for sleeping. The dining table can seat 4, but there are only 2 chairs in the condo. We brought the 2 outside patio chairs inside for meals, and it worked.

The one recommendation we have to the owner is to provide a welcome sheet with the passwords (front door, laundry, pool area, wifi) and the instructions for the appliances. Also info on where to find garbage bins, etc. All communication with the owner was easy (all via email, never met the owner in person), but we could have eliminated a few emails if we had received more info on check-in. :-)

Small Condo,Very Efficient!

  • 4 of 5

Very nice small condo in nice area within 1 block of ocean. Something's to consider no washer/ dryer in unit, however they are within complex. Complex is dog friendly, we did hear dogs barking at times. Condo furniture could use some attention, showed wear and dirty. Over all good little place. We did have a problem with key when we got to unit, Ann did call us after 45 minutes to give us new code, all worked out.

Good base camp for Charleston visit. Approximately 20 minute drive.

Stay on Dec 27-29

  • 4 of 5

The condo is lovely and quaint. The location is wonderful - within walking distance of several restaurants, easy beach access, there is even a little spa where we got a nice massage. The TV volume kept going up and down on its own and there was only one kitchen towel. Otherwise, we loved it!

It is a perfect getaway spot for a couple.

Don't judge a book by it's cover!

  • 5 of 5

This little condo is a diamond in the rough. Don't be fooled by the exterior of this older, 2 story building. The interior has been completely renovated, with a beautiful "beachy" décor. Very clean and comfortable, it met all of our needs and Ann is great to work with. She makes sure you have all the comforts of home!
