We had such a good time that it was truly magical. My oldest, from Oklahoma literally had to be dragged out of there. None of us had ever rented a home on the ocean before and the grandkids, being from a landlocked state, just couldn’t put it into words. We did SOOO much – Totham Cove, Popham four different times, whale watching in Boothbay, the Good Food Farm, Anna’s Waterfront Restaurant. Cooked Lobsters and steaks the last night and had a New Orleans’ “boil”, shopping in Freeport and Bath on the waterfront. We walked to the Cove at the bottom. Still tons to do that we didn't get to so definitely would like to come back.
It was a perfect place for such a large family and the deck is incredible! There were 10 of us and absolutely plenty of room for everyone to have their space. We would highly recommend this place and hope we can come back sooner rather than later. Sara was gracious and helpful and wonderful to work with in planning our trip and accommodating our schedule.
Very roomy and we’ll equipped for large crowd/ family.
We spent Thanksgiving week with family - 7 adults and 4 children. The large kitchen and huge table were perfect for us. The view of the water was SPECTACULAR from all 3 levels. There was room to get away from the kids 😊😊 we were very pleased. I only wish there were a few more comfy chairs for lounging and relaxing in the den and bedrooms.
We would definitely come again. Thank you so much.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. It was a family get together; big birthday celebrations!
The vista is spectacular! The deck is perfect for optimizing the natural beauty everywhere. This is not a house for anyone who cannot do stairs. The kitchen is a chef's dream with a few missing pieces. We had days of fog but went to some museums and gardens. The people were so helpful, especially the lobstermen!
Spacious, relaxing house with beautiful ocean views
Spent a lovely week at this large oceanview house with a huge wraparound deck and spacious open kitchen/living room floor. We hosted a lobster dinner for guests attending our daughter's wedding in Bath. Walked to the nearby cove, visited Morse Mtn and Popham Beach. Enjoyed sunrises and sunsets overlooking the water --- with lobster boats and seals frequently in view. Sleeps 10 people comfortably and 12plus can fit around the kitchen table and kitchen bar. View of the water from master bedroom is gorgeous too. Bathrooms are adequate and clean, although the ceilings were alittle low for our tall family. Lots of stairs.....but worth the climb in order to take in the views and the feeling of solemnity on the main living floor & deck.
This is Maine!
We had 4 adults and 4 kids(16-12 years). Only reason it's not a 5 star is because for the price it could use a refresh. The view was top shelf. The deck was amazing to sit and hangout, beers, watch stars and eat lobster. The neighborhood was really cool with older homes and lobster to purchase right there. It was very quiet. If your looking for the Jersey shore, this isn't for you. The house is huge, we had tons of space. I would say 10 people would be very comfortable. If you have been to Maine before you will love it. My wife says she would go back. My only issue is that I wanted to fish from back yard, the yard doesn't go to ocean. The place was great though. We went fishing with fish n trips charters and boated about 75(no joke) striper. Place is great for 2 family or multiple generation family. Just go
Comfortable for big groups & close to amenities
The positives: top floor huge party room with multi user kitchen opening onto wraparound deck overlooking the ocean, close to Popham Beach, Morse Mountain and Sewall Beach, Totham Cove, the general store, and Sebasco Estates; dog friendly house with nice dog walk loop including Cat Cove. The only real trade off: no dock or private swimming access. We were fine with the clean but "nothing fancy" bathrooms and bedrooms. More importantly, there was plenty of privacy and adequate facilities for four couples/ family units and a dog to live together comfortably for a week, which is hard to find in a rental. Thank you!
Other Activities: Boating, wildlife viewing, mini golf, shopping, kayaking, health/beauty spa, shuffleboard
