So sorry for the delay in replying to your email. Thank you for tearing up the deposit check. No need to return it to me. J
We had a fabulous stay in your apartment. Although there was an issue with the cleanliness of the apartment when we arrived, you certainly took care of it right away and for that we are very happy and grateful. And the use of your computer was wonderful as it kept us connected with our children and families. Thank you very much. It was an amazing trip and we would certainly stay in your apartment the next time we went to Paris.
Thank you again… have a wonderful holiday season.
Did you know there was a little bridge that connects the Iles St. Louis and La Cite? We didn't until we stayed here. It felt like Notre Dame itself was part of our neighborhood. With the 4th arrondisement on the Rive Droite on one side an St. Michel on the other, there's something for every part of the heart and mind within five minutes. Authentic continental feel. Watch the boats glide by, with your feet up in the living room. We stayed here on a whole-family trip and had a fantastic time. A finer location is really hard to imagine. The home has just what you need to repair to after a tiring day; for us the chance to have a few meals "in" with the kids was just the ticket.
We loved the location of this flat and would rent it again. However the layout is a bit odd (the master bedroom is internal - basically carved out of the living space, and the other two bedrooms run into each other. Also one of the shower rooms was not really usable. All that being said, the location and view were outstanding and the flat was comfortable.
The views from the large windows in the living room and dining room are fantastic. Every evening, we had wine and pate, while watching twilight descend on the Seine. When the windows are closed it is fairly quiet. The location is amazing. Ile St. Louis is a romantic island with cobblestone streets, medieval buildings and true charm. There are few cars, so people walk in the streets - it is like a magical village. By the end of our trip the local shopkeepers were saying a special "Bonjour" to us each morning. You are around the corner from great restaurants, cheese shops, foie gras shops (yes!) and of course, ice cream. A 2 minute walk to Notre Dame, Marais or the Latin Quarter. Near metros and buses that take you everywhere.
The apartment had great bathrooms - especially for Europe. The best shower of any apartment we've rented in Europe. The kitchen is spacious. It has the feel of a home, not a vacation rental.
The back bedroom is cosy but nice - except for having to walk through the other bedroom to get out. The main bedroom is not really a room - there is about 12 inches of space around the queen sized bed. It is an interior room - no windows. What made it ok is that there are large sliding doors that open to the dining room. So we kept the doors open and it felt like a larger bedroom. But we loved the apartment and would definitely return.
We were 2 couples and 3 adult children (7 in all) staying for 5 nights in this apartment. It was perfect.
The owner was easy to deal with by email.
Vera met us and did a good job reviewing all
The apartment was clean. The photos on the website are representative except that there is now a larger dining room table and a hide-a-bed in the living room.
The appliances all worked well.
Large living and dining room at the front - with all of the views.
To clarify, Bathroom #1- shower and sink. Bathroom #2- bathtub/shower and a shower cubicle and sink. Bathroom #3 - toilet Bathroom#4 - toilet. The location was fabulous.
1 flight of stairs - somewhat narrow - no elevator.
Wonderful view over the Seine.
Restaurants all over and subway stations nearby. Local croissants and grocery about 1 minute walk away.
I would definitely stay again. We loved the apartment and location.
Our family of 5 (2 adults, and 3 kids, 16, 14 &13) spent 4 nights in this charming apartment on the Ile Saint Louis. The proximity to fantastic restaurants within a 1-5 minute walk of the apartment was incredible. The ability to access the Metro (via Pont Marie -- 5-7 min walk, Cite -- 7-10 min walk with the Cathedral views) and the RER/Metro (Saint Michel/Notre Dame -- 10 min walk) made any journeys around Paris easy and fun to navigate. The apartment was perfect for its location and we could not have been happier. Vera, our host, was great and while we could translate most of what she was saying, the guide book left behind for all the features of the apartment and including the brilliantly long wifi password made the transition very easy. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this apartment and its beautiful location on the Seine to anyone.
Our family of 10 (six adults and four children) enjoyed 7 wonderful days in Paris at this lovely apartment overlooking the Seine on the IIe St.-Louis. It was perfect for us with all the amenities of home plus that glorious view! It is close to many little cafes and restaurants and within walking distance to many of the sights of Paris and yet is quiet and set off. After a day of sightseeing, it was a pleasure to return to this charming treasure! I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the old city of Paris. The host could not have been more accommodating and helpful when we were setting our plans! Many thanks for that too!
Well, this is Paris, France. So you name it!
