There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and a standing fan for the living area for the rare days it gets hot in Aspen (elevation 7900 ft). Our building does not have AC.
The charming condo complex on Cooper Ave. has free, underground, private parking. A locker next to the front door provides space for skis and bikes. The condo is adjacent to Wagner Park, has a view of (the top of) Aspen Mountain and is four blocks from the main gondola. It is one block from the center-of-town pedestrian mall and the free skier shuttle bus to Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands ski areas stops at our corner. The Ice Garden is 3 blocks away.
For summertime enjoyment, it is a block to the Food and Wine Festival, a 15-minute walk to the Music Tent (2 blocks from bus), and walking distance to all downtown restaurants - no designated driver needed.
The decks and stairways at our building are being repaired during April, May and June so there will be construction going on during that period.
No smoking; no pets. Five night minimum stay December 15 to April 16. Three night minimum stay the rest of the year.

We were very pleased with our experience at this property! The condo is very convenient and really within reasonable walking distance to almost everything - not to mention a bus stop to Snowmass right around the corner! If we chose not to walk, the Downtowner transportation was very easy to use and very efficient. Bus station is just across the park as well. There were 3 of us staying and it was the perfect size. The condo was well equipped and owners were extremely helpful - could not be nicer people! You never know what your going to get when booking online and there was zero disappointment here - would definitely recommend and stay here again! Thank you!
Great location! We loved it!
Aspen Food and Wine
Very well appointed condo. We were there for Aspen Food and Wine Festival and it is literally 50 yards from the Food and Wine tent, but it was quiet at night. Very clean with excellent water pressure in the shower. Couldn't have asked for more!
Great location and very comfortable
My husband and I spent six nights in this very comfortable apartment.
The owner, Joan (and her husband), was SO helpful at every step of the booking, payment, and arrival stage. All communications wre promot and thorough.
The listing descriotion was quite accurate and when I inquired about the bathroom (no photo on line at the time), Joan immediately provided a photo and a description for me (it is very nice...huge modern shower).
The location was convenient to everything. We loved walking out the front door, turning right, going about 75 feet, and being at a bus stop for pickups to Snowmass, Aspen Highlands or Buttermilk. Just to our left was the Limelight Hotel with live music five days a week from 4-7 pm...we went there three times. All stores and restaurants are an easy walk.
My husband remarked several times hiw COMFORTABLE he felt here. He would open up the ski boots, put them on the fireplace hearth, and one flick of a switch had the boots and us warming in front of the fireplace. The king bed was very comfortable and there was no noise from anything behind he apartment (where the bedroom was). Lots of condiments and more for your use, and lots of little things,p....like bandaids...with notes to HELP YOURSELF.
In summary...this is everything you would want...comfort, convenience, well equipped, and a lovely owner to work with.
Great base for skiing and town
This condo is perfectly situated for easy access to the ski slopes (free bus stop right on the corner) and town (an easy walk across the park). Right next door to the Limelight hotel for those days you fancy a drink or dinner out and don't want to walk far. It was warm and comfortable with plenty of space for the two of us - the bed is extremely comfortable and the gas fire a nice feature. The kitchen is compact but is well equipped and the washer / dryer comes in handy for active holidays. Joan was a pleasure to deal with, extremely responsive and helpful both before and during our stay, and there is lots of information in the condo to help visitors get acquainted with the area. We didn't have a car, don't think you really need one, but there is ample parking provided. There are more luxurious (and MUCH more expensive!) places to stay in Aspen but if you want a good base for skiing or hiking with the extra convenience of your own kitchen and laundry facilities, this is hard to beat.
Other Activities: Kayaking, Snowboarding, Boating, Snowmobiling, Hot Air Ballooning, Wildlife Viewing
