Ground floor loft style apartment filled with light and art. Newly refurbished. Large bathroom. View of the Pyramid from most windows.
Easy walk to Chinatown, embarcadero, downtown, and fisherman's wharf (VERY centrally located). Public transportation, banks, restaurants, cafes, galleries & shopping all within three blocks.
Imagine bumping into Laurence Ferlinghetti, Sean Penn, Francis Ford Coppola or aging rock musicians. It could happen to you!
Just spent 3 nights and this wonderful apartment and wished we could have signed a long term lease! HA! It is the perfect spot for two! The apartment is quite roomy with a huge bathroom, kitchen with all you need, and lovely sitting area to relax in with a cup of coffee in hand or for relaxing in at the end of the day and just watching the locals go by. The apartment is a couple of blocks off the busyness of the pubs, restaurants, and cafes, so was remarably quiet even though it sits in the "midst of it all"! The apartment was clean and had interesting pieces of furniture and art. And Sherry was SO easy to deal with, answering emails or texts right away, and was a joy to meet....she even allowed us an early check in since we got into the city well before check in time...THANK YOU! Sherry had lots of good "insider info" on places to eat that were much appreciated.
As others have said, the location is fantastic! and though a quite of few blocks from The Warf area, if you enjoy the sights and sounds and smells and people watch along the way, the time passes quickly and you are at the destination before you know it!
Be sure to hike up the hill and visit Coit Tower....it is RIGHT there and really does have incredible views and a beautiful little park with pathways...so many hidden gems like that within the city!
We will MOST definitely be staying here again! Thank you for sharing your "artsy loft" with the rest of us Sherry!
We stayed 5 nights in this studio apartment. Sherry greeted us on arrival, providing a wealth of local knowledge on restaurants, places of interest and things to do while in SF. The location is fantastic close to many restaurants and cafes, a short walk to transport and close to city shopping. The apartment was perfect for my husband and I, well laid out, cooking facilities were available (although with so many restaurants close by we did not cook), the coffee machine was also much appreciated, very cosy and comfortable. This was our first visit to the USA and SF, loved every minute of our stay. Highly recommend this property.
Loved this apartment and the owner Sherry. Stayed 3 nights in Oct. It is on a steep hill, but what isn't in San Fran :) It is close to many restaurants and you can walk to the Pier, and many other sights. Would stay here again!
My partner and I had an amazing 9 nights in San Francisco staying in this great apartment. Very good location with good amenities.
We love walking but quickly discovered the public transport system, a must if your asthmatic in San Francisco!
The location is very steep but if you plan your days it's a great area to use. Very good restaurants and pubs just literally around the corner!
Having a sitting room and kitchen proved a great idea, as most days we had a quick beak fast at the apartment, then out on our day of discovery of San Francisco.
Sherry was very helpful as we are from the UK, with good directions etc. WiFi was very handy to have in the apartment.
We will definitely use this again when we eventually get back to the USA.
We love North Beach and this studio is perfectly located. The decor is eclectic with an array of local art, including a stunning steel railing on the raised kitchen seating area which captures in silhouette the local art scene. Regrettably, I suffered a bad fall down the four steps leading from the kitchen to the bed area. The refrigerator is positioned very close to the steps, which are unguarded. The ice maker was broken during our stay, which required standing with my back to the steps and opening the left hand feeezer door toward me in order to reach the ice tray. I inadvertently stepped back one step too many and fell backwards odd the steps onto the hardwood floor. I didn't appear to be seriously hurt at the time but am seeing doctors for repercussions from the fall. Our host said she'd ordered a new refrigerator. There needs to be a railing or similar guard, because even if the ice maker allowed access to ice on the freezer door, the danger remains. So, before the fall, the stay was delightful. Hopefully, the host will correct this dangerous condition so future guests can enjoy their stay in safety. K
This is a very comfortable and very well equipped apartment in a great location. A ten minute walk in any direction will take you somewhere interesting - the Water front, Coit Tower, Chinatown. The area is quiet but you are only steps away from many fine restaurants. Sherry the owner is delightful and full of information. It was my first visit to San Francisco but I am sure it won't be my last.
