We have just returned home after a wonderful weekend staying at this gorgeous house. We cannot thank the owner enough for the wonderful, beautifully designed, clean house and attention to the detail that they have provided. The beds were extremely comfy; we had a full kitchen supply, washer/dryer… We have sent a security check in advance for any damages that could happen during our stay and we have got it back immediately after we returned home.
The place we have found there was even beyond our expectations. We will definitely return again.
Very nice and clean place. Everyone in my group loved this house. Very good owner. It was easy to contact him and pleasure to deal with him. Definitely will contact him again and come back. Thank you Boris!
The place is nice and clean. I love the pool table and the close proximity to Big Boulder. Here are some problems I had. For some reason which escapes any logical reasoning, there were NO trash cans in any of the bathrooms and the trash can that was in the kitchen is very small. The 3rd step on the staircase to the upstairs is at least 1-3 inches in height differential than all of the others. This is a complete liability and needs to be fixed. I tripped very hard going up and fell. The place is extremely acoustical with 20 foot ceilings so if you have lots of little ones, the sound travels loud. All in all, not a bad place but we will be renting elsewhere in the future.
My family and some friends (12 total) rented this house for 3 days in 2015 and again this year. We couldn't have been happier. The house was warm and nicely furnished. Beds for all. Very clean. sweet pool table. Washer/dryer for free. 2 minutes from Big Bouldet. Great view of the lake and mountain. The owner has been very easy to communicate with as needed. We will definitely return again.
Nice, clean place. Owner was very helpful. We had a problem with the lights. Contacted the owner and electrician came in 2 hours. Fast security deposit return. We would love to come back again.
We stayed here with friends over NYE and the house was very nice. The fireplace is warm and the house was good for hanging out with friends. Some issues to be aware of: The bedding provided is very limited. The bunk beds were pretty uncomfortable and only sheets and a very flimsy fleece throw blanket was provided. No extra blankets anywhere. we had to bring our own towels including hand towels. Also-no hand soap, dish soap, trash bags ect. We were told ahead of time to bring these but still one expects these things to be stocked. The kitchen was also missing some basic things like cooking sheets/dishes. Lots of pots though. It made cooking difficult.
Another major concern is that our group felt that we were over charged for "damages" . One was a broken fridge door handle that was already cracked when we arrived. As soon as i opened the door to unload groceries it came apart. Now i'm an average strength young woman and am certainly not known for my strength so its unlikely that i broke it off all by myself. I assume it was on its last legs and we were the ones it gave up the ghost to. I attempted to email the owner that evening about the broken handle but my email didn't go through. Also-dont get me started on the extra charge for wifi-seemed like just another way to nickel and dime guest. we were also charged for some scuffs on the wall. While it is very possible we did cause the scuff the amount charged to paint it seemed excessive for what could have been solved by a Mr Clean Magic Eraser.
All in all-its a nice house-but be mindful that sound is an issue and you can hear everything even with bedroom doors closed. BUT the owner will charge you for every little thing. He also requires payment by check and not through a more secure method like paypal, venom or through the rental site. i guess this is so you have no recourse in case you dispute the charges.
