The Perfect Rustic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The time spent at this vacation rental was really worth the initial gamble of the unknown. This property is off the beaten path enough without being too far from great amenities like fine/casual dining, antiquing, spa treatment, shopping, great outdoor activities skiing, skating-a pleasant outdoor jog-right out the door!-all of which we enjoyed on our stay in New Hampshire! Our family has stayed here twice and each time spent was more magical and relaxing. It has quaintness about it and is special whether you go in the winter months or a spring summer getaway! The river access makes it great in the summer months. I love this house!!! It is really a special place -guaranteed to make some great memories!!

Peaceful Relaxing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was a very peaceful enjoyable vacation with our son and grand-daughter and English bulldog. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the large deck watching the lazy river. Had fun swinging into the river and kayaking and canoeing. Very private yet close to good restaurants and activities, even found some collectibles for our shop. Neighbor Tim was awesome and really helpful. One suggestion, could have used more lights in the living room for reading. We had a great time and would recommend to families. The Lynches

Just wanted to send you and your family a note to say thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a really great and relaxing week! The house was just as promised.

We hiked to the top of Foss Mountain in Eaton for amazing sunset views and free blueberries to pick. We also climbed up Mt. Washington by car (both are not far away). Foss Mountain is a must do. We had a great dinner at Snow Village Inn located down from Foss mountain.

Caught a few small mouth bass, a perch, and lots of suckers. I hooked and lost a huge fish (under the overhanging tree across from the beach). Not sure what it was, but it was massive enough to break my braided synthetic line. Not sure if it was a giant bass, catfish or something else. He's still in there! Let me know if you catch him.

The house was great, the kayaks were fun and the hot tub very relaxing and good for the back after hiking!

Thanks for a fun and relaxing week.

A great summer vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

My family spent a wonderful week in July at this house. It is everything it says it is. The location was perfect and very peaceful. The river was clean and very calm for swimming and kayaking. I had 3 teenagers and 3 elementary school age children with me and they all loved the place. Plenty to do at the property and lots of nearby activities/restaurants. The house itself was unbelievable. Clean, modern, and very very confortable. Plenty of room! We will be back next year. Thanks for a great 2009 summer vacation

So much Fun!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed there with my family twice in the last year and we loved every minute of our time in this beautiful VT home! In the summer there are tons of outdoor activities right of the back deck. You can just about jump into the calm river from the house! You can kayak, hike, or just relax on the deck. In the winter this home is located close to several great ski mountains. My family and I had a wonderful time and we look forward to going back this spring!
