Lake Andrew is a quiet 960 acre, 60 foot deep lake with high water clarity located just 2 miles south of Alexandria. The lake has a very high walleye and bass population.
Alexandria with over 100 antique and unique shopping opportunities boasts plenty of restaurants for your families enjoyment. As a resort town, nearly every weekend offers a new experience of activities. Lake Andrew offers water skiing, jet skiing, swimming, and some of the best walleye fishing Minnesota has to offer - its the fishing lake of the locals! In addition to the watersports, try out one of six golf courses within 15 miles, spend a day at Carlos Creek Winery, or explore the 55 mile Central Lakes Bike Trail.
After your day on the lake, enjoy our finished lower level with reclining couches, 47' flat screen TVs, movie library, and closet full of family games. The upstairs offers a second living area with new carpet and new couches (2016), gas fireplace, and 42' flat screen TV.
Bedroom 1 offers queen bed, Bedroom 2 full bed, and Bedroom 3 both a full bed and twin bunk beds (kids room!). Both bathrooms are full bathrooms.
Come and vacation with us on Lake Andrew, you'll understand why they say, 'Alexandria is easy to get to and hard to leave.'
Please Note: We JUST installed the new deck - its an amazing 40 feet long, LED lit, and provides amazing views of the entire property. The deck was stained to match the house in the spring. Sorry the pictures still show the green treated wood.

Raised in Alexandria, my brother and I both left the area, but not Minnesota. We purchased this property together in 2008 as a fantastic retreat for our families. Alexandria has many lakes to offer, of which we tried them all through the years. Lake Andrew is by far our favorite, offering serenity, recreation, the best sand beaches, great fishing, while avoiding the excessive lake traffic. This property we purchased has been described by many as the 'nicest lot on Lake Andrew'. We use this property at least half the summer, and rent it the other half so that others may enjoy Lake Andrew as much as our families. Our combined kids are 8 to 19 - and they all describe it as their favorite place.
In addition to fishing, water skiing, and campfires, we love to golf the four quality courses within 10 miles, and bike on the ample trails and roads in the area.
We are horrible fisherman, but we still catch fish. If only we could catch as many as our renters!!!
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2008
Lake Andrew is the choice of local fisherman for walleye, crappie, and bass. The lake is very clear, and due to two large undeveloped parcels has a lower boat traffic than many lakes in the area.
With 225 feet, this lot is three times the size of most lots. In addition, the two adjoining parcels are also large, providing privacy unlike most lake properties. A creek and woods separate this property from the adjacent lots.
Our family had a wonderful time at your cabin. The cabin is very nice, basement is nicely remodeled, everything very clean and the huge lot perfect for our big (sometimes can get noisy) family! Plenty of table space on the deck for our whole family to eat together. We spent most of our time boating, floating, fishing, enjoying campfires (firewood supplied is a HUGE perk!) and playing lawn games. A big plus is the close proximity to Alex-in 5 minutes you can be in town. The owners are very nice and helpful.
Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your lovely cabin. Everything (except the weather) was perfect. We had 10 of us for the weekend, and had plenty of room. 4 to 6 for the rest of the week, so lots of room. Rented a pontoon for the weekend and did have nice weather then.(Would not rent from same place ever again!) Kitchen well stocked, had whatever we needed. We went to a lot of little shop in area, the Rune stone museum, and played games. Overall successful week! Thanks again, it was great!
Have been there the last two falls in early october and both times experienced some fabulous walleye fishing with their small fishing boat. The lake also has super bass fishing along with some crappie and northern. Good weather or bad...this cabin/home makes for a super retreat where can play games and relax in bad weather and do water recreation and bonfires when nice. Amenities galore...with beautiful views.
The rooms were great in size and offered plenty of space for 6 adult and 6 kids. The bedrooms were good size and very comfortable. The remodling of the downstairs was very nice. The washer and dryer was great. The beach area was awesome. Plenty of sand for the little ones to play and great swimming area for the older kids. Loved the wrap around deck, was able to sit and enjoy watching the kids swim or sit and watch the sunset over the lake. And the new grill was use a lot. The guys were able to catch a mess of Walleyes for one of our evening meals. In fact my Granddaughter caught the biggest Bass off the dock with a homemade fishing pole made from a stick. The kids also loved the variety of movies that was provided. The peaceful sounds of the lake during the day and night was wonderful. It was like we had the whole lake to ourselves. The only thing I would change is the stove, even though it was charming the lack of a burner made it hard to cook for a large family. Also a bigger dinning table and more chairs would be nice too. All in all it was a great vacation home and would love to come back again. Oh and not to forget how friendly and helpful the owners and Dwayne & Judy were.
Our family vacationed in Alexandria for 25 years before the resort we went to closed. We found this house on the VBRO site and thought it looked nice. When we arrived the home far exceeded our expectations! The moment we walked in we felt at home. Hard wood floors in the fully stocked kitchen, carpet in all the living areas and fantastic views of the lake are just a few things we loved. We also loved the air conditioning on one of the hottest summers to date! Our kids loved jumping off the dock and playing in the sand box area. We used the fire pit on more than one occasion for smores, and there were lots of rafts to just float on the lake. The lake was quiet and we loved the privacy. I think we would love to make this our new vacation spot! All the family members we spoke to were very friendly and helpful!! I would recommend it to everyone!!!
