***PARADISE...PARADISE...PARADISE ***You have found the perfect Hawaiian Vacation Spot.

Aloha, OCEAN Views are yours! If you are looking for one of the BEST snorkeling Beaches on the Big Island this is the condo you want. We have a gentle beach just steps away. The snorkeling is absolutely incredible and since you are right there, you have the opportunity to go morning, noon and early evening . There are so many species of colorful fish and they are so friendly. We went in May, and I felt like I was in 'Fish Heaven,' they were that beautiful. Also there are lots of sea turtles that love swimming along with you. I will be happy to share some of our pics with you.

For the teens, there is a surf shop to the North of the protected Kahalu'u Beach with surfboard and stand up paddle board rentals. Our friends that came had a 5 year old girl who loved her surf lesson. The instructor just stood on the board with her. Just past the gentle swimming/snorkeling beach is a nice gentle rolling surf that the surfers love. If you look on a satellite map, you will see the gentle surf to the North of Kahalu'u Beach. . If you go to Google Earth and type in Kahalu'u Beach, Kailua Kona Hawaii, you can see our condo.

Our New Designer Decorated Condo can be your oasis away from home. Walk in the door to the sound of Hawaiian music from our Bose system welcoming you. The view of the Ocean as you open the door is breath-taking, I am sure you will agree. We are the newest construction on Alii Drive in the last 20 years! The condo has all you will need for your home away from home. I love all the colors of Hawaii, so we incorporated that through out the condo for your enjoyment. Open the triple sliding French door and cross over the teak threshold onto the lanai, take in the beautiful Ocean view, smell the air and listen to the native birds while watching the palms gently sway in the tropical breeze. At this point.....ahhhh you will know you are in 'Paradise.' Mornings and evenings are a real treat. In the morning you will enjoy your views of the coastline and beach. You will see and hear an array of brightly colored songbirds singing their morning songs. Early Wed. morning you may even see luxury cruise ships sailing into port. In the evenings, while enjoying your dinner, you will be treated to one of those unforgettable Kona sunsets where the colors of the sky and sea are beyond description and quite possibly your imagination. Watch closely.......... you maybe fortunately enough to view of famous 'green flash'. Phil has seen it, but I never have.....!.'

Our condo is large, luxurious, designer decorated and has all the amenities you would desire. The condo features state of the art in design from the granite counter tops to the glass door cherry wood cabinets completely stocked with colorful dishes. The bathrooms have glass block showers and art glass sinks, just to name a few All of the rooms as well as the lanai have tropical ceiling fans and tray ceilings. There is a large flat screen TV in the living room with Disc player and a TV in each bedroom with disc player. We have free internet hookup and free long distance to the U.S. and Canada.

Kona is a very simple residential beach village with a beach town flair... Lowrise condos intermix with homes and parks..snorkel lagoons and little sandy coves.... a real homey feel... compared to the resorts. You will fall in Love with The Big Island..

Dec 6, West Hawaii Today, named Kailua-Kona top U.S. destination for travel.

On Tuesday announced Travelers’ Choice Destinations on the Rise awards placing Kailua-Kona atop the U.S. destinations. Kailua-Kona beat out other U.S cities and came out on TOP.

About Gail Eddy

Owning a piece of Hawaii, has always been our dream. We went to Kona in 2007 stayed at The Beach Villas at Kahalu'u, Phase I and were told Phase II would be build. We jumped at the chance to have the first choice for what we think is the best condo in Phase II. The condo has incredible views of the coastline as well as the Beach. We wanted a place for us as well as our now grown and married kids, and grandkids to enjoy. We wanted a gentle beach and Love to snorkel. Kahalu'u is just much color and colorful fish there along with numerous sea turtles. I have numerous pictures I would love to share if you would like me to send you some.

There are also historical grounds all around Kahalu'u for you to enjoy. There are many petroglyphs just across the street. I will be happy to share all the information with you.

Gail Eddy purchased this condo in 2009

Why Gail Eddy chose Kona Coast

The Location, Location, Location. How can you go wrong owning a piece of Paradise at the Best Snorkeling Beach on the Island. Kahalu'u has everything we had wanted, the gentle snorkeling/swimming beach. The abundant sea turtles you can swim with, check You Tube 'Konagail' to view our recent video. There are also literally hundreds of species of colorful fish. I have so many great pics, I would love to send you some, just ask.

If you like nature, you can hike to the many secluded Ocean areas along Ali'i Drive. White Sands Beach is a nice walk and about 1/2 mile away. You can stroll through the grounds of the former Keauheou Outrigger Hotel where you will find ancient fish ponds, King Kameamehaha's old stomping grounds and an ancient birthing area by the Ocean just to the South of the hotel.

What makes this condo unique

You won't want to leave the Lanai. We have colorful fiestaware dishes to make your table very Hawaiian and beautiful. Cast your views on the swaying palms and ocean, you won't want to leave the privacy of your lanai. I like to pick up a fresh Hawaiian bouquet at the market in town for $10.00 It is sure to bring you enjoyment. Barbeque a steak or some fish down at the pool and take it up to the lanai and enjoy your evening by candle light while listening to Hawaiian music as the breeze gently blows. Bring back the romance. You won't find any more perfect ambience. The view of the coastline as well as Kahalu'u Beach is incredible.

The lanai features beautiful furniture where you can relax, read a book, sip your tropical drink, eat your meals and have your morning coffee.....ahhhh.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We had an absolutely fabulous time in Kona and your condo was great! Thank you so much for letting us stay there for a week. It was one of the best vacations we've had and we all agreed we'd love to go back some day. The kids had fun staying in their own room and the sand/beach toys were so nice to be able to borrow. Thanks again - you have an amazing home in Kona and what a great location!"

Amazing Visit, AS ALWAYS!

  • 5 of 5

We are repeat visitors and everything exceeded our expectations once again! Gail's condo is paradise indeed! The location is perfect - right across the street from an amazing snorkeling beach. The condo was beautiful and very clean. We especially enjoyed having our coffee out on the lanai every morning. On this trip we enjoyed scuba diving with the manta rays (highly recommended!), star-gazing at Mauna Kea, and a trip to visit the waterfalls on the Hilo side. Our kids, ages 8 and 10 had a blast surfing with Kahalu'u Bay Surf and Sea. Ben, the owner, was so great with the kids! I just love the Big Island and Gail goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable. Make sure you ask for Gail's fun "to-do" list! I can't wait to plan my next trip!

Did not disappoint in any way

  • 5 of 5

It was our first time to the Big Island and we considered staying at a resort, but we are so glad we chose Gail's condo. It honestly felt more like we were visiting a real place rather than doing a typical tourist fly-over. The location and pace just felt right for where you actually are...a beautiful Hawaiian island. The sunsets from the lanai were spectacular. You can't be stressed after watching one of those.

We made good use of Gail's (and others) suggestions for food and sights and recommend a copy of "Fodor's Big Island" travel book. And felt like we were able to see a lot of the island. You do need to like driving, though.

The condo was very clean and tasteful decorated and it is always a pleasant surprise to not have to re-stock every little item in the kitchen. If we return to the Big Island this will be the first place I will check back into.

We return again and again

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at "Gail's condo" many times, and always look forward to our stay. Gail goes above and beyond to make her guest feel welcome. She sends "Gail's tips" on things to do and secret, hidden places. If you need anything, just email and she will respond quickly. We love sitting on the lanai, looking up the coast and at our favorite snorkel beach. The location couldn't be better, just far enough away from the center of Kona to make it feel like you're on an island, and right across the street from the best snorkeling anywhere in Hawaii.

The condo is well maintained and has everything you need. We recommend it highly!

We arrived late at night, but the condo was easy to find in the dark. Britt had the air conditioning turned on for us in advance. Parking is very easy and always available. The street is quiet and also has parking always on it. There is no extra charge for parking. The condo is very clean and nicely decorated. Just a few steps down to Kahalu'u Beach Park where there is great snorkeling. We saw turtles several days for free! Beautiful fish there too. Our favorite thing was to eat our meals on covered deck which overlooks the ocean and Kona in the distance. Has a nice ceiling fan to keep you cool there too. This condo is nicely stocked with anything you might need for the beach or for cooking. Washing machine worked great and was appreciated since we pack light. Two bathrooms and very nicely done. The event of the day was to walk to the beach and watch the sun go down. Fun walking along Alii drive, lots to see. Very nice pool area which you can see the ocean from and BBQ area. Gail Eddy, owner, is very easy to work with and gets back to you right away.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 weeks. We made a great choice! We loved the location, about 5 miles out of the commercial town of Kailua-Kona, and close (walking distance) to a convenient shopping center for groceries etc. The shopping center also hosted a farmers market and a small hula show weekly. The condo building is right across the road from the shoreline. The road has a bike/walk lane which was always teeming with people who were out enjoying the view and getting exercise. A great morning or late afternoon activity. The most impressive thing was the view from the lanai, which made every breakfast something special to look forward to. Palm trees, the surf, flowers-- paradise! The condo itself is very appealing, with beach theme, and very up to date in general. The kitchen was well equipped and there's lots of info/books/tips on where to go/what to do. Only downside was that it was a bit noisy in the morning, with the pitter-patter of flip-flops as the neighborhood children met at the corner bus stop. We did not need A/C, though we were there in the middle of "winter", so don't know how much hotter it gets in the summer months.

Gail was great to work with and checked in by phone several times to make sure everything was going well. When we had a minor issue with beach chairs/umbrella, they were provided/ replaced immediately by the on-site person who works with Gail.

The beach across the street is probably the most popular snorkeling beach on the Big Island and we did snorkel there once. It is not a beautiful sandy beach (more rocky, which is what makes it so good for snorkeling) so we did not hang out there but explored many other beaches on the island, which we really enjoyed doing.

All in all we were thrilled with our stay at this condo.

Wonderful location and condo

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here few weeks in October 2015 with three other adults. Condo was spacious and had everything we needed. Gail and the local concierge were very helpful in everything and we felt very welcome from the fist day on. Beach just across the street was maybe the best snorkeling spot we came across the island. Turtles, moray eels, scorpion fish, barracuda and tons of other species! Most often than not the water was very clear. Surfing was also possible withing very short walking distance from the condo. Even during the Ironman period this location was quiet, but still close to all amenities. I would just say to everyone that don't leave the lanai doors open when it gets dark outside, the first evening we got a ton of small flies in lured by the lights inside the condo.

Kayaks available at $40.00 per day at neaby Keauheou Bay. It is within walking distance. Lots of GREAT boat trips that go out to snorkeling/diving locations such as Captain Cook and City of Refuge which are about 20 miles or less from the condo. The Bay where you catch the boats is only 1/2 mile away. Enjoy the open air trolley that runs every hour. Ride into town, the shopping center, Sheraton Hotel, the Pier, beaches, etc. It is very relaxing and excellent scenery along the way. It is fun to take into town in the evening, stroll around in the stores, restaurants and bars over the water. Then catch a ride back on the trolley. It has a stop just across the street from the condo and is very convenient.

Also, we are near the Sheraton Hotel where you can go watch the Giant Manta Rays every night. They have a light in the water and the Manta's are incredible. You can view them right from the patio at the Sheraton...wonderful experience. If you decide to do the dive yourself, you can catch the boat right there at nearby Keauhou Bay. I have heard it is really awesome.

We love morning strolls along beautiful Alii Drive. There are so many little coves and areas where you can just walk out on the smooth lava rock inbetween homes and take in the gorgeous views. I also recommend going to Googlemaps and just following the arrow along Alii Drive from the Pier in Kona or from our complex, which is 78-6721 Alii Drive. You can see what is really like and take in the beauty yourself.
