Carla Terrazas purchased this house in 2000
We had 12 adults and 3 children for our stay and there was plenty of space and bedrooms for everyone. It was great to have a well supplied kitchen for all of our cooking needs. Would have been nice to maybe have had a few more dishwashing tablets as we had a lot of dishes to do with 12 adults for meals. We loved having our whole family together in one place!! We would definitely book this house again in the future.
This home has a large number of beds, two bathrooms. We enjoyed the back porch and used the grills. We could seat 8 at the long dining table. It was located handy to many of the places we were doing errands at so that was helpful. Meaning not far from the Diamond Mall and Walmart and even Fred Meyers. It is really just adequate for the cost.
This large split level is close to attractions in Anchorage, not the least of which is the excellent, paved, waking/running/hiking biking trail that so wonderfully winds throughout this lovely city. Out the front door, turn right and in one block, you're there. We made use of this multiple times, and also took the baby in her stroller.
The kitchen is outstanding; convenient, quite well stocked, with labeled shelves and cupboards. We are an extended family of 14, from 19 months old to 72 years. We used the generous deck and the large dining table. There was space for lounging teen-agers and others. Three bathrooms saw full use.
We used this as a convenient base to visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, the Alaska Museum, and downtown for shopping.
We do have any complaints about the house and found it satisfactory. That being said, we have rented much nicer places in other locations with more amenities that were better stocked (soap, pans, etc). The house was clean and comfortable enough although needs better insulation under the floor (the downstairs bedrooms could hear everything above them). Compared to our other options in Anchorage, however, this property was a great deal for groups that want to share space. It is accessible to many stores so you save a lot of money buying food from Costco and eating it at the house! We enjoyed our visit to Anchorage very much and would recommend it to others.
We took our 4 grown sons and wives to Anchorage for a special trip. The house was everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and perfectly clean. The bathrooms were very nice and well kept. We would highly recommend this house. It is also very attractive on the outside. The description of the property was very accurate. The owners were very available even though we only had one call with them.
We used the property as a gathering place for family to stay as they arrived in Anchorage enroute to a family wedding in Homer. The number of bedrooms was definitely a plus. There was also a yard for children to play outside. Several of the chairs in the living room were stained. The requirement to have all dishes washed and removed from the dishwasher before leaving seemed unrealistic. The windows were also so dirty that they obstructed our view. I would describe this property as adequate.
The Coastal Trail and Campbell Creek are located at the end of the street with access to hundreds of miles of bike trails.
