Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband and I stayed 2 weeks at this beautiful home. The accommodations exceeded our expectations in quality and comfort. The location is perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood with easy driving access to all shopping, restaurants, and activities. The owner is warm, friendly, and wonderful to work with. I would certainly stay in this home again and again.

Amazing comfortable family home

  • 5 of 5

Mahalo George and ed- what a great place to stay! Not

A problem to get around to places- the mall up the top was so convenient. Ed and George were super helpful and nice! Couldn't have asked for a better place and a private pool to boot! Lots of space for us to spread out, and get confirtable. Can't wait to come back again!

Awesome place!!

  • 5 of 5

We thorough enjoyed our stay at Ed & Georges place. George, Sr. was great and making sure our stay was excellent. He was very responsive to anything we needed. The dryer was broken when we arrived and George, Sr. put up two clotheslines because the repair man couldn't get here until after we left and the clothesline worked great! He even gave us a tour of their farm and gave us avocados and papaya several times during the week. The house was very spacious and plenty of room for us to spread out!! The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and utensils (and even had spices for use) and we made many of our meals in the home to save money! Great location with a shopping plaza right up the road. Did the luau at the Sheraton that was a mile down the road and it was excellent. The pool and sun deck were perfect! We used the gas grill several times for cooking as well. The landscaping is beautiful. The house came equipped with beach towels, snorkeling gear, & umbrellas for the beach. Beautiful beaches nearby (short driving distance). There were two couples and one single and the 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms were perfect. The rooms are very large and comfortable. TV's in two of the bedrooms which was nice. TV in one of the sitting area as well (but we spent most of our time outside so the only time the TV came on was for the Oscars)!! Overall the place is fantastic and the pictures were spot on. We would come back anytime!!

Family Friendly Beachhouse within walking distance to the beach.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week but could have moved in for good! Ed the owner was very attentive and provided great advice regarding recommended beaches to make the most of our stay. The house is huge with multiple sitting areas to allow everyone their own chill out space after a morning at the beach. We highly recommend the Luau at the Sheraton and the canoeing safari, all within walking distance from the house! Fair price, great house, walk to store and kid friendly beach, what more could we ask for! We will stay here again when we visit the big island!

Amazing House

  • 4 of 5

We spent 7 nights here in early January, with a total of 5 people. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and all it has to offer. As others have mentioned, this house allows for individuals or small groups to spread out and have their own space. After a long day of snorkeling we came home and spread out to all areas to read or nap and it was wonderful. The pictures online are very realistic with the gorgeous artwork, living room, kitchen and bedrooms. The only difference and slight disappoint was the pool - it does not look like the picture above as it is not an in ground pool and the deck doesn't go up and over the edges like in the picture. Also, it is not heated and actually quite cold - but at the end of the day we all used it and enjoyed it on the hot days. The decking is in great shape, but some of the chairs were torn, but overall the entire house is in terrific condition and really is beautiful. The house notes left by Ed mention ants, and yes, there were ants - they were very tiny though, but you really do have to clean up and not leave anything on the kitchen counters. Not a big deal at all, after all this is the tropics. All the geckos outside were entertaining as well. We never got to meet Ed, but George came by a couple of times and he was very nice.

The location is good if you want quiet - it ends up being about 4-5 miles south of downtown Kona. Close enough but you will need a car. The bay that is only a couple blocks away didn't look like we could swim in it with "private property - no trespassing" signs and some boat traffic; but it made for a great running route along the shore.

The booking process went smooth and Ed answered all the questions I had - overall I would definitely recommend this house.

This was a FANTASTIC for 6 adults!

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for our group of 6 adults! We each had our own bedroom and bathroom which made our stay of 7 days more comfortable. The house had everything we could have practically needed and the space inside and especially outside was great for spending our evenings/nights. Ed was very easy to connect with regarding questions and he responded promptly. We loved staying at Ed's home and would book this again for sure. Mahalo!
