About Jackie Murtha
I grew up in the South Shore in a beach Town called Scituate. I am in Real Estate and have been for about 10 years. I bought this home for the idyllic view of the Lake. In the winter i live in this home and travel when I am not here or go to another home I own.
Jackie Murtha purchased this House in 2007
Why Jackie Murtha chose Plymouth
Very private and nature abounds! Definitely a great place to just hang out and relax!
What makes this House unique
The first time I drove down the driveway, I was sold from the most idyllic view of the lake. It is also very private too.

Beautiful view, needs some upkeep
Pros: The views over the lake are beautiful, especially at sunset. The location is very quiet, the lake water is very clean, and the proximity to Plymouth means a lot of options for dining within 10-15 minute drive.
Cons: Disappointing level of upkeep. Towels very worn, some appeared to have been chewed on. Potholders very dirty/burned. Beach chairs very dirty, some broken, in a heap with empty liquor bottles when we arrived. (We bought some and scrubbed others so we could enjoy the lakefront, and we cleaned up the trash). Grill was very dirty with overflowing grease traps. Some of our family members felt there was a strong scent of animals in the living room area, others could not detect the smell. Owner was informed of all of the above on arrival; apologized but did not offer to have anyone fix the issues or offer any compensation.
The drive from Pennsylvania, was beyond worth the trip
Within 20 minutes of arrival our girls were in swim gear and enjoying the water. We enjoyed the sunsets each night and back deck coffee each morning. The house had every comfort we could ask for and more... it was hard to leave and come back to reality! Thank you for a great week Jackie!
a great place to rest and enjoy time with family.
House was spacious and well supplied. We enjoyed using the boats to spend time on the lake and relaxing on the deck.
Quiet and relaxing but lots of space inside and out with great sunsets over a clean, clear lake.
My family, 10 of us in total from ages 4 to 84 spent a wonderful week at this Lakefront home this past July. Posted pictures are very accurate but don't quite capture the serenity this vacation home offers. Inside the home is spacious and very comfortable with a large deck where we enjoyed family suppers and the great view of the lake over our morning coffee. Kitchen is very well equipped and lends itself nicely to having help preparing meals. The lake is quiet and is great for swimming, very clear and warm and a few tried their hand at kayaking. Yard is ideal for playing badminton, or a game of tag. It's in a very private area but there are restaurants just a short drive away for when the cook wants a break. Bedrooms and bathrooms are all a nice size and all the beds were comfortable. My teenage granddaughter loved the soaker tub. I certainly would recommend this retreat and hope to be able to rent it again in future summers if its available. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. We all absolutely loved our stay!!
Peace and quiet with a beautiful lake view
The house is warm and makes you feel like you are staying in a home versus a hotel. Walking up to the front door the lake views really hit you. Instantly brings a smile to your face and makes you want to jump in. Was plenty accommodating and Jackie was very understanding and kind to work with.
Home away from home
My family was very comfortable in this home. The property was beautiful. The dogs loved the yard.
This home is on the Great South Pond. It is a few miles from the Historic Downtown Plymouth where the mayflower and Plymouth Rock is. There are many restaurants, museums, whale watching and shopping. The Rental is right near the Miles Standish State forest where you can walk, bike canoe or fish.
