Relaxing and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Capitola. In the past, we had rented a different house in the village. The location is about equal. Maybe a three minute walk vs one minute. Who cares as we were not in any hurry. What sets this house apart from the other is its location on Soquel Creek and the included access to the kayaks and canoe. We paddled up and down the creek multiple times each day. Such a relaxing week. Already thinking about our next visit.

Exceptional Capitola cottage and prime location

  • 5 of 5

We've had the pleasure of staying at this property twice now and this second stay at the end of July was as magical as the first! We visited the Capitola area with three young kids. The owners are great hosts and the amenities at the property, which include two kayaks and a canoe, made our trip! The view just outside the cottage is breathtaking and we took daily walks along Creekside path to the village and beach, which is a very short walk away. We didn't have a chance to dine at the amazing Shadowbrook restaurant this trip, but it just a short distance away right across the creek (around the corner by car). The location of this cottage can't be beat. It's near the historic trestle, Capitola beach and lots of great dining options. The Soquel creek and the kayaking/canoeing were highlights of our stay! Great fun with kids. Hope to be back for a third stay soon!

Beautiful location.

  • 4 of 5

We spend a lot of time on the deck just watching the comings and goings of both other tourists and the ducks. Very peaceful. It would be nice, however, to have at least one more umbrella to block the afternoon sun.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words about our little home. I like the idea of an extra umbrella. We had a large shade tree before but it was eaten by termites. Hope to see you in the future

Your name is perfect.

It was so hard to leave. It was so peaceful there on the river. The walk to town absolutely beautiful. My 11 year old granddaughter had great time photographing the flowers, the ducks an the babies. Her and her 14 year old sister went kayaking every morning. Our stay was to short. I think we're already planning next years stay. Thank-you for a Great time an experience in Capitola.

Great little place right on the river. Small but perfect for the two of us. Super easy in and out. The owner Steve was super responsive. We will definitely return.
