About Todd and Beth Ginsbach
In 2000, our family set out to buy the perfect Up North vacation home. Our clan consisted of my husband and myself, (pregnant with our first child), my sister, her husband and their daughter Brittany, and my mom. After a few weekends looking around the northern part of the Lower Peninsula, two-thirds of us came upon the Pine House. That two-thirds convinced the other one-third (my husband and I) to buy the home sight-unseen, as they were so anxious to make it our own. We made the leap, and many years later (and a total of six more children later) we are still enjoying our Up North vacation retreat.

Why Todd and Beth Ginsbach chose Gaylord
Gaylord fit our needs, as we wanted to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the outdoors, while still having the conveniences of a nearby city. Gaylord is home to many golf courses, lakes and beaches for summertime enjoyment, and it is also located in the middle of the Michigan Snow Belt, allowing us to ski, snowmobile and sled. Michaywe Owners Association also fit our needs as it has it's own indoor pool, beach and playground, perfect for our growing family.
What makes this House unique
Over the years, our family has had bonfires with s'mores, songwriting and games of 'telephone', walks in the woods, bike rides, long days at the beach, snowmobile rides, quiet time with our own families as well as large family reunions, boating excursions, movie and game nights, fire-side chats and stargazing. As our children have grown, and we are lured by other vacation destinations, we have used our vacation home less and less. We are now offering it to others to enjoy as we have. Joining VRBO has been a joy, as I have learned that mushroom hunting is a spring-time sport in Gaylord and also how to make a 'dough boy' by an open fire.

Great location for visiting North Michigan.
We loved this place. There was everything we needed for a great stay in the forest. The house was clean, the beds very comfortable, we loved the outside deck for barbecues. There was great space inside and outside for the kids to play. It was brilliant to watch the visiting deer stroll around the house. Would def recommend Pine House
Thank you for the recommendation!
Great place, we definitely recommend it.
Plenty of room , we were 6 adults and 4 children, and nicely equipped. We also enjoyed the restaurant, pool, sky trails and community activities - we all tried snow shoeing.
Gaylord family gathering
Comfortable and charming house. Would definitely visit again.
We stayed at the Pine House 4-9 August and loved every minute of it. Bed was comfortable; every thing was clean ...plenty of pots, pans, dishes and towels...so quiet. There is no wi-fi and the tv really does not get much, but...that was a good thing. What is the point of getting away from it all if you don't get away from it all? My husband caught up on reading and I mastered the lovely bunny puzzle you supplied.
Suggestion: Throw out the 'old stuff'...sugar was caked like a rock, olive oil was iffy...For us...we would rather just buy new, if what is there looks questionable.
Would definitely recommend to couples, families with kids, plenty of room for groups...a great place to recharge and renew. Thanks!
Great place. Very clean.
We had a great time!! 👍
Really nice house. Beautiful all wood inside. Everything you need was there. Comfortable beds and a lot of room. No TV service though. Great experience overall. I would highly recommend.
