This 3500 square foot, like-new, three-level, craftsman-style home is on Wildcat Lake, a scenic 45-minute drive from the Seattle-Bainbridge Island ferry terminal, or 10-15 minutes from Silverdale or Bremerton. The house works great for a multi-family vacation or reunion. There is a sitting area, bedroom and bathroom on each of the three floors, and the lower floor also has a second kitchen and dining area.
The home has a deluxe kitchen with granite countertops and many small appliances, a gas fireplace in the livingroom, hardwood floors, jetted Jacuzzi bath tub, 52” TV with blue ray/DVD player and DVD selection, Playstation 3 with game selection, and outstanding views. There are also musical instruments and an indoor full-size Stiga ping pong (table tennis) table.
Outside amenities include a large boating and swimming dock, canoes, kayak, paddle boat, row boat, hot tub, and lake-side fire pit. The lake is clean and quiet. A seven mile-per-hour speed limit means there are no noisy ski boats or jet skis, and means nice clean water for swimming and fishing. In addition to all the lake has to offer, the Green Mountain State Forest, less than two miles away, has many miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
We are a family of four who lives on Bainbridge Island. We purchased this house to have a place for our family and friends to enjoy good times together. We aren't able to live there full time, so we rent it during times we can't be there. Most of our guests are extended families looking for a house that is large enough to accommodate everyone and with plenty of things to keep all ages occupied.
We especially enjoy the lake activities-- swimming, boating, fishing, and exploring. We appreciate the warmth (in the summer) and cleanliness of the lake. We even, on occasion, go for a polar bear dip in the winter. After swimming, there is a hot outdoor shower and a hot tub for warming up. We also enjoy relaxing around the lakeside firepit, on the hammock, or at one of the several outdoor seating areas. In addition, we have fun with the indoor activities-- ping pong, video games, making music, watching movies, and viewing wildlife.
Because we spend a lot of time there ourselves, and enjoy entertaining, the kitchen is very well equipped for just about any cooking venture. An additional feature we really enjoy is the nearby hiking area. We can either walk from the house or drive about a mile to the trail head. There are magnificent views from the trail, including all the way to Seattle.
We rent a lake home each summer for a week and the kids and grand kids have 7 more days for great memories. This is an extremely nice home, dock, hot tub, toys etc. etc. etc.. We had a great time and the owners are very easy to work with. If you want to water ski you need another location but if not this is the nicest rental we have found to date. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
This year was our 3rd Labor Day weekend at this lovely home . We have shared this home with 3 families, kids aged 12-15, and the kids(as well as us), can't wait to return. Dan and Teri are very accommodating and generous to share their home. The home is well laid out, organized, meticulous, and has everything you could possibly need. The lake is clear and warm and we were given access to numerous water toys, boats, canoes, life jackets, wet suits, etc. There are two warm showers on the way up from the lake and then a large hot tub up above. We were fortunate enough to have two sunny weekends. The one rainy weekend we were here, the kids were in the lake anyway. There are numerous games, musical instruments, and a gaming system in a large playroom as well as ping pong and foosball downstairs. We can't say enough great things about this wonderful home.
This was our first time staying at the Wildcat Lake House. It was absolutely beautiful. The owner met us and showed us the house and how everything worked. They had it in great condition and stocked with everything you could ned for a short or long stay. We had a few families stay and everyone had a nice place to call their own. We fished and caught trout everyday and cooked them right there on the deck. The hot tub was a great way to relax at night after a campfire in the firepit. The weather was not great, but that did not stop us from swimming and boating around the lake. The kids enjoyed the media room at night where they watched movies and played games that were provided. We highly reccommend this place for your next getaway. We have stayed at other lake houses, but this by far is the best. Hands Down!! I almost want to keep this information to myself, but the owners are terrific and very great to work with to plan your stay. I know we will be back whenever we can. Enjoy!
Immaculate doesn't even come close to describing this place. The owners were meticulous in planning out every detail, from the kitchen, entertainment room to the lake and the ameneties. We were 10 of us and didn't feel that we were so many in the house. Just a lovely place.
The owners were wonderful in their communication. They inquired whether we had kids and what ages and took the time to set out toys and games that were appropriate for my children.
The experience was fantastic.
We just returned from a stay in this amazing house last week. It's every bit as wonderful as described and more. The pictures really don't do it justice. We agreed it was one of the best places we've ever stayed. We're already trying to organize a group for next summer! Very highly recommended!
This is our 8th rental from VRBO. Property was lovely -- clean and extremently well equipped with excellent quality items. Lake was lovely. We had nine people -- 5 adults and 4 children and had more than enough space, beds and bedding. Highly recommended for families and groups. Especially enjoyed the boats!
