MY FAMILY AND I HAD A GREAT TIME IN FLORIDA THE PLACE WAS CLEAN AND WELL CARED FOR UNLIKE PREVIOUS REVIEW WE DID NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH BUGS OR SPIDERS I DONT KNOW WHERE THEY GOT THAT FROM YOU CAN TELL THE PLEACE IS WELL TAKEN CARE OF PLEANTY OF ROOM AND EVERY THING YOU NEED IN A FURNISHED HOME FOR A GREAT VACATION I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO VISTING THIS HOME AGAIN....
MY HUSBAND AND I STAYED FOR OUR 48TH ANNIVERSARY AND WE LOVED IT LOTS OF ROOM IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND PRIVATE WE ATE OUT ON THE PATIO AND GRILLED THE WEATHER WAS AWESOME. IT WAS QUIET VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED INSIDE AND OUT .
This place was horrible! There were bugs all
Over the place... Little creatures with wings (termites according to our landlord all
Over our beds, kitchen area and living space. We had spiders that would be on the counters and in our breakfast occasionally. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place. she deducted 1000 dollars from our safety deposit, wrongfully accusing us of damages in the house. We were students here on an externship and completely taken advantage off. PleAse be careful
I know cockroaches are common in Florida in the summer, but the extent of cockroaches we had were unimaginable and to an extreme compared to our friends staying at different places. Not only that, but we also had a huge spider infestation in the kitchen, where we would find numerous tiny little spiders all over the kitchen counter every morning. We cleaned the kitchen every morning and every night, which seemed to help decrease the number of cockroaches and spiders seen, but not to a large enough extent. Not only that, but we also had problems with termites! Some guests who came to visit over our stay in Coral Gables found termites in their luggage when they had went home. Although the landlord was kind enough to hire a terminator for us whenever we needed one, she did not listen to his recommendation of the problem being termites actually IN the roof of the house and that the place needed to be renovated to get rid of them. The landlord did not do a run through of the house before we moved in which I was disappointed about, and was not there to do a run through with us when we were moving out. Instead she emailed us later saying she was deducting ~$900 for damages done to a bathroom that we did not even use. Basically, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Although the location is good (close to miracle mile), this place is nowhere close to where it needs to be in renovations. I stayed in the master bedroom and couldn't use one of the sinks because the pipe was constantly leaking and the other sink would always get plugged. The place wasn't even cleaned properly when we moved in. There's tons of bad things I could say about this place.
I stayed here for 3.5 months from May through to August. We had to deal with a lot of bugs here which we were told was common to Florida but other friends of mine living in the area did not experience the same thing. The room with the bunk beds is able to hold lots of people however we found that the top bunk beds were not usable as often termites which were attracted to lights above the beds would die there overnight. We would vacuum wings up from the upper bunks almost everyday. The bodies of the termites are found all throughout the house and often in our beds. I had guests stay over who found termites in their clothes when they went back home. Nobody stayed in the attached guesthouse as cockroaches would be found there all the time. The owner provides a company that will come as often as necessary to spray for cockroaches and the problem would resolve for a couple days but return again. In the kitchen there are a lot of small ants that would be all over the stove all the time, its something we just got used to. I would not recommend this location for anything even slightly longterm. I didn't feel it was worth the price we paid. I also wouldn't recommend taking the place if a damage deposit is necessary as we paid one and were charged for damages we did not do. The benefits of this rental is that it was spacious and had many kitchen utensils so we did not have to think about getting those things.
We stayed here for a family event. The house was big enough for three families to stay comfortably and was perfect for all of us to be together. The house was clean and well maintained. It has wide open spaces for socializing and enough quirky features to make it interesting. It's in a residential neighborhood, not on the beach or any uniquely Florida location, but it's close to just about everything, the airport, Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, University of Miami and especially downtown Coral Gables which was really convenient. The owner of the house was fantastic; very easy to work with and very, very helpful. We didn't have any complications or problems during our stay. Overall very enjoyable.
