We live on this 35 acre ranch, and enjoy all the amenities this special valley has to offer. We know you will enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and exploring this special valley.
Local recreation, skiing (10 mins. away), river rafting, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. This area is also rich in heritage sites, featuring historic downtown Salida (10 mins away). Right from the guest house, you can hike along the Little Arkansas or hike and mountain bike Willow and Greens Creek roads. The Mountain Spirit Winery on Cty. Rd. 220. 1 mile down the rd. is a great place to have a picnic under an apple tree.
We had a great time staying here for a long weekend. You can not beat the location and the place is very well maintained and the amenities make it amazing!
What more do you need? stunning views out the windows, 20 min to Monarch, 10 min to Great beer at elevations. The bed was super comfortable; cabin was warm, cozy and nicely decorated. Need to come back and read some of the books.
The house was cute and decorated in a southwestern/cabin style. Although it was not as secluded as I thought there was plenty of privacy and was very quiet. The views are amazing and the valley where the house was located was calm and relaxing. The sunsets were beautiful and the hot tub was a delight! I believe it would be absolutely stunning in the spring or fall!
Overall loved it. Great location. Quiet. Very nice cabin. Close to Monarch Ski resort and town of Salida.
We enjoyed our two night stay. The house is comfortable and close to salida and monarch. Hot tub is great! No wifi.
Overall, loved the guest house - nice accommodations, cozy, close to Monarch/Salida and secluded location. Had lots of outdoor space for our dog.
Only suggestion to owner would be to note on HomeAway that the internet is very limited and confined to the bedroom. This may or may not be an issue for others, but we wanted to stream some films from our NetFlix/Xfinity accounts - could barely get two (2) bars strength.
