This comfortable, contemporary home is located in one of Sedona's most stunningly beautiful areas. If you're looking for quiet solitude, you'll find it here -- yet all the restaurants and services of Sedona are just a three-mile drive away.
This contemporary home has simple elegance with excellent flow, having been designed in consultation with feng shui master Valmai Howe Elkins. Completed in 2006, it won the 'People's Choice' for best house on the Sedona Art and Architecture Tour that year.
The entire house has great natural light, no matter what time of year you stay. Winter sunlight streams through southern windows, and summer patios are shaded and cool with natural ventilation. This is a green passive solar home built with ultra low voc materials, and also features ample conventional heating/cooling systems.
Downstairs you'll enjoy an open plan living room/dining room with 12-foot high ceilings and comfortable leather sofas. A gorgeous modern kitchen features all stainless steel appliances and stone countertops, as well as a separate wine bar. Throughout this main living area you'll find engineered maple hardwood floors, hand-made wool rugs, Italian leather sofas and HD satellite video. There's also a guest room downstairs with full bath, perfect for the visitor who requires additional privacy.
Upstairs you'll have your pick of two large master suites. Each comes with its own large deck, queen size bed, full bathroom and walk-in closet. The western suite has its own private entrance, small kitchenette, and large Roman style soaking tub. The eastern suite includes a very private outdoor bathtub with full view of the red rock bluff, which is part of the unique property.

Hi, my name is Glendon and I have been a resident of Sedona for 16 years. Having lived in many places in my life, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and internationally, I can truly say that Sedona is a unique and magical place. So when I discovered this amazing property, complete with its own gigantic red rock, I knew this was the place to build my dream house. I currently live next door to the house with my two chocolate labradors, Charlie and Coko. I am an artist specializing in creating high-end functional art and sculptures. I enjoy hiking and running the trails in and around Sedona.
Glendon Good purchased this house in 2006
Sedona is an astonishingly beautiful place to be. Living here is akin to camping in nature where wildlife and nature abound, yet with most of the amenities I enjoy such as good restaurants, supermarkets and coffee houses. Sedona is truly a spectacular place.
This property is located in a special area of Sedona along Red Rock Loop Road. Originally this was one of the first areas to be homesteaded and farmed in the 1800's. Today there is a delightful mix of luxury homes among farms and working ranches. Nearby, the creek rolls through the red rocks providing a rich contrast between the lush green pastures and dramatic red rocks. Excellent hiking trails out the door take you to high ridgetops with views of Cathedral Rock, Thunder Mountain and the vast National forest. Cool off with a dip in the creek and explore its natural beauty.
My husband and I stayed for a full week at Glendon Good's magical Sedona Cliff House. It is a stunning and beautiful retreat not to be missed.
The house is not only designed and built by the owner, but much of its handsome interior furnishings and built ins are designed and created by him. With open spaces to the front side and back, and enormous windows in all directions, the light and views are out of this world. The setting in West Sedona creates both privacy and easy access to Sedona proper for all our groceries and shopping needs. We followed Glendon's recomendations for dinner, and had three incredible meals at local restaurants. We also hiked up the back of the property to a butte overlooking the whole Sedona valley and Cathedral Rocks. We felt like royalty there. Although there was just the two of us, it is perfect for two couples, or a family. We hope to return again and bring our daughters next time!
From the first day of my family's stay, the five of us were warmly welcomed by Glendon, his two chocolate labradors, and his impeccable house with the most amazing views. After our relaxing week's stay, we all felt re-energized but not ready to return to East Coast reality. Glendon thought of all the small touches to make his house a vacationer's own sweet home - area rugs in the right spots, hammock by moonlight, coolers for picnics, organic laundry detergent, lush linen and towels, etc. The house is conveniently located to Sedona's many good restaurants, supermarkets, hiking trails, and shopping. We couldn't ask for more and we would happily return to this fantastic house.
My family enjoyed our stay and Glendon's hospitality. Even the drive down the Upper Loop Rd granted spectacular views. The house was clean with all the amentities a family of 5 needed for an enjoyable stay. The evening sky was star filled and cool. We were close to Red Rock State Park and Sedona is a short drive to everything the town offered. Thanks
An unusually beautiful home in a stunning setting. Very conveniently located for hikes with a minimum of people on the trails.
A perfect place to stay in an amazing landscape. Even better than the pictures (which is hard because they're pretty fabulous). Great hiking out the door, close to Sedona, serene and gorgeously landscaped property. The home itself is warm, comfortable, and beautifully modern. Our two sons (12, 16) spent a lot of time wandering the multitude of decks surrounding the home and hanging out in the hammock. My husband loved the outdoor bath. The views from every window are incredible. A true gem!
Our family came to stay at the Sedona Cliff house for four nights during Spring Break. The house is comfortable, beautiful, and in a great area close to mountain biking and hiking as well as shops and restaurants. We had a hard time leaving! Thank you Glendon for sharing your beautiful house with us!
This contemporary home is located in an exquisite rural setting 3 miles from downtown Sedona. It is a quiet location where the sounds of birds are often the loudest things heard. If you enjoy the outdoors, hiking, bicycling, running and breathing in the natural beauty, then you will likely enjoy this special place.
