Family friendly community and unit (steps from the beach and pool). Also great for adults: away from the hustle & bustle but close enough to more activity (shopping; boardwalk (Rehoboth Beach) and kids rides) if desire to go to another beach.
Hanging out in the unit and watching the Ferry go by. Playing ball in the backyard. Going out to beach at low tide and seeing the marine life. Play tennis on private courts. Playing at the beach and then heading over to the swimming pool. Cooking at home and hanging out/relaxing. Playing games or doing puzzles, watching movies with family and friends-- games/puzzle variety included in unit for your enjoyment. One mile stroll/bike/drive to downtown Lewes for ice cream and shopping.
We have been vacationing at Paula and John's home for the past 12 years. There home is spacious, accommodating and very clean. We vacation there with my mother in law, brother in law's family and my family and there is plenty of room. You are minutes away from the bay, pool and fishing dock, which the kids love and are always catching fish. The community is very quiet and family oriented, over the years we have met very nice families and the kids have met many friends who they keep in touch with and look forward to seeing every year. The ocean is only a five minute drive from the complex and the boardwalk is only a fifteen minute ride for the more adventurous. The highlight of this unit is to sit on the deck and watch the beautiful sunset over the bay while relaxing with your family!! I would recommend this home to any family. Paula and John are a pleasure to deal with and respond to any issues you have promptly. We always are looking forward to returning each year!!
This unit was clean, convenient, scenic, serene, and well-equipped.
We stayed at this lovely home last year. My husband and I along with four teenagers loved the place. It was the perfect location and plenty of room for all of us. It's close to everything. Beautiful view of the CapeMay/Lewes ferry, walking distance to the bay and pool. Nice quiet community away from all the congestion yet close enough to just about anything you want to do. We loved it and will definitely return. Paula and John were great to deal with and very reponsive. You won't be disappointed.
After going to the Outer Banks for years, and dealing with rental agents, we were ready for a change and used Home Away as our source for a "new vacation spot". Working with the owner of a property instead of a rental agency really makes the experience more personal and easy. Our condo was great--very clean and tastefully decorated. Loved the quaint, historic area and the private beach. Looking forward to this year's trip and the ferry ride to Cape May. Historic sites in and around Lewes were very enjoyable.
We recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, cultural, relaxing vacation.
Townhome was well appointed and well located within its community. Well situated for biking into Lewes, to Cape Henlopen and to the Dairy Queen. Would definitely return to this unit.
