Enjoy the serene quiet of our rural setting just minutes from beautiful Healdsburg and surrounded by vineyards. Our property sits amidst a large organic flower and vegetable garden filled with butterflies, birds, and bees.
A private patio overlooks the Russian River Valley and is the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of our special coffee blend, or cup of tea in the morning and a glass of wine in the afternoon. Have dinner at one of the area's many fine local restaurants or BBQ on your own private patio. We try to provide everything to make your stay with us memorable. We are also beekeepers and sell our own raw organic honey, as well as eggs from our chickens.
This VERY PRIVATE 650 square foot 1-bedroom guest apartment with its own entrance is attached to the main house. The handy mini-kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster, micro-wave, fridge and a 1-burner cook top. There is a gas BBQ right outside the door.
The guest suite's private bathroom is accessible to both the living room and bedroom area sleepers.
We will be happy to accompany your children as they visit our chickens, cats and our dog Mitzi. The kids can also pick ripe fruit and vegetables from the garden. If you are coming for a wedding no need to try to keep your children quiet in a hotel room when they can enjoy running around our garden.
We do not charge a security deposit, or a cleaning fee and, of course, your children 12 & under stay free. This may result in a slight discrepancy as to how VRBO calculates the full rental fee. They count children as extra guests, we do not. We trust that you will take as good care of our cottage as we do ourselves. We look forward to hearing from you, and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

We retired to beautiful Healdsburg in 1992 after long careers in film,TV, and stage in Los Angeles. We've never regretted this decision because Healdsburg is a magical place to live.We decided to open our home several years ago, so we could share with our guests our lovely gardens and peaceful setting.
Kristine or Charlie Siebert purchased this cottage in 2005
Our guest cottage was part of our home, but once our children left we thought the space was so beautiful and private that it would make a lovely vacation rental for guests coming to the wine country of Sonoma (not Napa) so several years ago we transformed the space into the wonderful guest cottage that it is today. Please read our reviews. Our guests seem to share this opinion, and we hope you will too.
The cottage is in a very quiet and private rural setting. However its only 4 miles to downtown Healdsburg. Our guests can sit in the gardens, read books from our extensive library, or watch movies chosen from our large selection.
We had a wonderful time at this little home in the country. Very private, charming, and peaceful. The roosters crowed every morning at 5am. The beautiful gardens were full of flowers, figs, and tomatoes. Kristine, one of the owners, was lovely and helpful. The rental is attached to the main home, but once you're inside you don't even notice it. The kitchen is equipped enough for making a simple breakfast - half fridge, one burner hot plate, coffee pot, electric kettle, toaster oven, and microwave. Lots of utensils, plates, and cups were available. There is a king bed in the bedroom (too soft for me, but my friend thought it was perfect) and two futons in the living room (our other friend found her futon firm, but that's to be expected). Both friends thought there should have been more towels, but I thought having one bath towel and one washcloth for 3 nights was fine. There was also one hand towel that we all shared.
The bathroom is on a septic system. We realized the first morning that you have to allow the shower to drain completely before the toilet will flush again. So, either use the toilet before you shower, or wait about 15-30 minutes after using the shower to use the toilet, and do a test flush before you actually use it.
The driveway is gravel, so it's best to back your car up to the home so that you can unload your suitcases more easily. We didn't do this and had to carry our suitcases over the gravel.
If you have children, this is a great place because there are a lot of children's toys already there, including a table on which kids can move vehicles around like a little town. Also, they would love the chickens and dog that roam the property. The dog is so sweet!
Have fun - it's a really nice place!
Kristine and Charles were lovely hosts from beginning communication to the end! Kristine greeted us, showed us around her gorgeous cottage and then we never saw them again! It was super quiet (except for the occasional rooster and chicken noises!), so comfortable (love the bed!) and just a very pretty place to stay. Large flower garden and vegetable garden, plus a view of a vineyard and the sunset. Can't beat that! And who doesn't love 2 sheep to adore? And only 5 minutes to downtown Healdsburg. We had a fabulous time and can't wait to go back.
My wife and I plus our three month old son recently stayed in the cottage for a quick weekend to wine country and the cottage was absolutely perfect. First, Kristine was an amazing host making sure we had all the directions we needed in advance, that the cottage was well stocked with anything we needed, and even offered to pick us up anything from the store ahead of time as we were arriving a little late in the evening. The living area is quite spacious and the king size bed was great. Traveling with such a young child can be a little tricky but she made sure there was a pack and play (collapsible, fold away crib basically) for our son to sleep in. The kitchen accommodations are basic, including a microwave, small fridge, and a hot plate but it was well stocked and definitely got the job done for cooking breakfast in the morning. The gardens are beautiful and make for a great place to sip some wine in the evening. The location is perfect, just minutes from Healdsburg but definitely with a feel that you are in the country - the perfect combination. I highly recommend staying there, I'm sure we will next time we're in the area!
Kristine and Charles were amazing host. Communication with Kristine was amazing which made our arrival even more welcoming. Their place is beautiful, tranquil and just what we needed. Their home is a bike ride or short drive away from Healdsburg plaza. It's also conveniently located to the Russian River and many wineries. My fiancé and I had a great time and can't wait to stay here again.
Kristine was a lovely host - she made sure we had everything we needed, that it was clean and well-maintained. I was visiting to plan and execute a wedding in the nearby area and having a cozy bed, kitchen and wifi at my disposal was just perfect. What I didn't expect was the stunning and peaceful environment - it was a wonderful way to wake up post-event to recuperate. I definitely would love to come back!
Our hosts were very lovely. We enjoyed fresh pluots right off their property. The location was superb - 5 minutes from Healdsburg, and smack dab between the Dry Creek Valley and the Russian River Valley. The accommodations themselves were comfortable and safe. A rustic and secluded setting with gardens to the left of you and chickens to the right. While not posh and not elegant, perfectly adequate for the price. There are no real accommodations for cooking other than a microwave, hot-plate, and coffee pot. This is a guesthouse that was set up for the property owners’ children and grandchildren to sleep while visiting. It is loaded and adorned with items for young children. So if you have 3- to 6-year-olds, and you're bringing them, this is a bonus! But I can’t stress enough the perfect location if you are in Sonoma to explore its glorious wines.
The small, quaint town of Healdsburg is only a 5 minute drive away. The town offers outstanding restaurants for those special meals, and many smaller but equally good places to eat. There are interesting shops and boutiques and several winery tasting rooms around charming Healdsburg Plaza. Armstrong Woods,a small state park with towering Redwood trees, is similar to Muir woods, but much less crowded and it's a short drive away.Enjoy various drives around the area all free of traffic, with each vista a beautiful sight. Sonoma county is so close to San Francisco (a one hour drive) yet so far away, and certainly not as touristy as the Napa Valley. Come enjoy our neck of the woods.
