Fully furnished and spacious executive 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom row house available for rent just steps from the US Capitol in historic Capitol Hill. Complete refurbishment completed in 2008 with meticulous attention to detail. Master bedroom suite includes 15-foot ceiling, ample closet space and a spa quality bathroom. Chef's kitchen equipped with custom-made cabinetry, honed granite counter tops and professional grade appliances by Viking, Bosch and GE Monogram. Entire dwelling is well appointed with Hickory Chair and antique furnishings throughout, and all 3 bedrooms come furnished with queen size beds. Other amenities include plasma flat panel television with satellite HDTV and wireless high-speed internet. Full size front loading washer and dryer located on main floor in hallway next to kitchen. Kitchen French doors open to a large deck and separate patio perfect for outdoor entertaining.

The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!

What makes this house unique

No expense was spared in remodeling and furnishing this house. You will be staying in an historic home complete with modern amenities. Location-wise, everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) is within 2 blocks and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Smithsonian museums) is just a few blocks further and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!

Charming Clean and Quiet

The Townhouse is clean and quiet! For such a great location, we were surprised just how quiet the street was. I have stayed at David's townhouse before, and it's the property I will always check first for availability when I'm heading to DC. I've rented for both business and leisure, and it's just a perfect spot for either. Although you don't need a car, I've found the parking on the street to be available when I needed it, and always found a spot right near the house. Also, we saved ourselves much time walking to Union Station when we realized the quicker route was to skip Mass Ave and head for F street. It's so close and convenient. The townhouse has lovely high ceilings that just add to the feeling of old charm and character - and yet it's completely updated with new appliances and lovely bathrooms. Just a great spot that I have recommended to friends and colleagues and I look forward to renting again in the future.

Great location and house!

We were in town for the Marine Corps marathon and the house was perfect for our family! It's walking distance to Union station, the capital and located in a neighborhood with lots of locally owned shops and restaurants to enjoy!! Thanks for letting us stay at your lovely house again!!

Absolutely perfect

Our Washington vacation in October 2016 was made even better with this charming, spacious and conveniently located house. There was enough room that even with two families we never felt crowded. We enjoyed coming back every evening to enjoy the well furnished dinning room and living romm to spend time together. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortble. The house is within 3 blocks from Union Station, so we had easy acces to the metro system and trains. We did most of our touring by foot because we were able to walk to the museums, the Mall and the Capitol. The neighborhood included several nice restaurants, sandwich shop and groceries stores. Highly recommended

Fabulous Capitol Hill location, great for all ages

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home. The layout was perfect for our family of 6. We spent most of our time out and about and seeing the sites but we loved coming "home" and comfortably enjoying the space. David was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be coming back to this property! Because our children are quite young (all under 8), location was key. We were able to walk to the Capitol and mall. We also utilized the convenience to Union Station and took the metro and circulator (bus). Union Station also has some fantastic eating options for on the go or quick lunches and dinners (potbellies!) It was also really nice to be walking distance to the Giant (grocery store) as one evening, we were too tired to eat out. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for our needs and we could easily have had all of our meals at the house. From the mall to the zoo to RFK, we were able to use the house as our base for exploring the city and can't wait to get back! Thank you David!
