Lindsey Warren purchased this house in 1949
We have been 'coming to the lake' all of our lives and love the natural beauty of the area.
Our favorite things to do are fishing and relaxing. If you want to rent a boat, Guntersville State Park is a 25 minute drive away
(left side under activities is boat rentals)
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Thanks for all of the hospitality and communication. We have never been anywhere with such support. The lake is beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better time...the fishing was great too.
We had a great time at the Pate lake house. The place has been kept up very well and had everything we needed. We were able to focus on practice for our fishing tournament, and ended up doing pretty well at the event. Guntersville is a great fishery.
We enjoyed the peaceful setting and cozy cabin. The cabin was the perfect place to relax with a good book, watch some college football and do a little fishing. We enjoyed watching the geese fly over and the turtle swimming around the deck. We plan to rent again.
Lindsay was very accommodating. Our stay was very enjoyable and went by too fast.
Last summer, our family had the privilege of enjoying a last minute getaway at the Pate lake house right before school started. It more than exceeded our expectations! Our first day alone included roasting hotdogs by the fire and making smores, telling bedtime stories while swinging in the hammock, and checking out the night sky with the house's telescope! We spent the following days enjoying the lake, more night time fires, big breakfasts around the dining table, and checking out some attractions like Cathedral Caverns. It was just what we needed before the hustle and bustle of school began! And this summer, the kids keep asking if we can go back to the same awesome lake house. Hopefully, we can make that happen! Thank you, Pate family! It was such a pleasure!
We had a great time! We kayaked and hung out and the dock, watched the beautiful sunsets each evening and stargazed around the fire pit each night. Our only complaint was that there was only one bathroom but we made it work. Overall, a great experience!
S. Sauty's new boat launch is 2 miles away (by land and water) making your boat launch easy and fast (you can dock your boat on our dock after you've launched it). Guntersville State Park rents boats also and is 25 minutes awy. There's also shopping nearby: the Factory Outlets in Boaz or the famous Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro. Our home is also near 2 more great state parks: Bucks Pocket (great eagle watching) & Cathedral Caverns.
