About Lindsey Warren

This property is owned by three brothers (and their families) and was originally built by their parents in 1949. It has been renovated since then and remains a great family getaway.

Lindsey Warren purchased this house in 1949

Why Lindsey Warren chose Alabama

We have been 'coming to the lake' all of our lives and love the natural beauty of the area.

What makes this house unique

Our favorite things to do are fishing and relaxing. If you want to rent a boat, Guntersville State Park is a 25 minute drive away

(left side under activities is boat rentals)

We have recently completed updated and expanded the back deck for an even better experience!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Thanks for all of the hospitality and communication. We have never been anywhere with such support. The lake is beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better time...the fishing was great too.

Wonderful lake house

  • 5 of 5

This house is special! Don't want to say too many good things for fear of not being able to rent it again in 2 years when my next kid goes to space camp!!! Possibly the nicest lot on the entire like with an endless view 180 degrees. Boat house dock is the perfect place to fish and I did so over 8 hours a day for 3 days. I caught fish on my fly rod, spinning bass lure, worms, and minnows.... it was just amazing!!! The property is fairly isolated from either nearby town so make sure to bring plenty of groceries, not that you would want to leave this place for a second. The home is hand built in the 40-50s by the same family who still owns it, neat legacy!! Very clean, had all the stuff I needed. Two bedrooms and two smaller beds off the great room. I would say two families with kids would be quite comfortable. Keep in mind the home is older but everything worked well: killer water pressure in the shower, excellent AC with Nest thermostat, new decking, stereo system, nice TV... you get the idea. Neighbors were not there and their homes are far enough away that one still feels private. So there you have it! -Steve

Best trip ever!

  • 5 of 5

The property and the view is breathtaking. My family and I had the best vacation ever. Very accommodating for our family. We were able to fish off of the pier and relax in the hammocks. We will definitely be staying in this house again in the future. Thanks for a great time.

Very well taken care of

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed ourselves all the time there. Everything was as advertised. I really liked the open space of the great room . Internet could be improved and our cook said he missed the oven. But overall it was great. I definitely will try and rent this property again this coming spring. Thanks for the stay, john

Spring Break 2017

  • 5 of 5

My family visits beautiful Lake Guntersville as often as we can and luckily it is only an hour to an hour and a half drive from our home. My family of four spent a few days here for Spring Break and it was the best property we have stayed at yet. My husband was able to launch his boat about a mile and a half away and dock it at the property which was very convenient. The owner was super quick to respond. As some of the reviewers noted, it is an older home, however that is part of its charm. You can tell that it has been in the family for a long time and it has been well maintained and was very clean. It felt so peaceful and cozy from the moment we walked in. All the conveniences of home with the exception of an oven, but that was no big deal. I just planned our meals accordingly and we enjoyed a big breakfast every morning. Yes, I like to cook, even on vacation :) The property had just the right amount of privacy, a large slightly sloping lot leading down to the nice sized dock with hammocks to relax in by the lake and a nice fire pit area all located in a nice, safe neighborhood. The large deck on the house had just been replaced. The bed was very comfortable. Oh and it has amazing views!! I am already missing sitting in the chair in front of the large window, sipping my coffee and watching the boats go by. We got in some fishing, a little shopping, and a lot of R&R. We brought along a deck of cards and had a lot of fun sitting at the large table playing cards in the evening. However, we noticed that the owner had several card games and a ton of board games. We'll have to check those out next time. It gets so hectic at home sometimes, it was just nice to spend some good quality family time together. I wish we would have had a few more days here but we will definitely be back!

S. Sauty's new boat launch is 2 miles away (by land and water) making your boat launch easy and fast (you can dock your boat on our dock after you've launched it). Guntersville State Park rents boats also and is 25 minutes awy. There's also shopping nearby: the Factory Outlets in Boaz or the famous Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro. Our home is also near 2 more great state parks: Bucks Pocket (great eagle watching) & Cathedral Caverns.
