Eastbrook Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom, One Bath Camp On Waters Edge, With Beach

Our three bedroom, one bath camp/ cottage on the waters edge of Webb Pond, sleeps 7 plus pull out sofa. We offer an updated camp with all the modern conveniences.

We have a new bathroom with a large shower, toilet, sink, washer and dryer. We also put in a new kitchen counter and sink. Smoke detector in all rooms, new windows with screens.

Wake up in the morning and have your coffee on the deck or down on the beach and watch the loons, ducks, and eagles. Drop a line in to fish or sit and read a book and relax.

Our camp has 3 bedrooms, two bedrooms have queen beds, the third has one single and a double bed. We have a very large open kitchen, dining, living area, plus a large enclosed porch overlooking the pond. Outside has dining table and a fire pit with adirondack chairs to enjoying, with easy access to shore to put in kayaks. There is also a beach for sun bathing, or a game of horseshoes.

Webb pond is a large 915 acre pond with a depth of 26 feet. With such a shallow depth there are some rocks which is not ideal for larger power boats, although some do water ski and tube. Making it a quiet and peaceful pond perfect for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The pond has Brook trout, small mouth bass, white perch and pickerel. There is a small island about a ten to fifteen minute paddle from shore a great spot to take a picnic lunch or just explore. We have a nice beach in front of the camp where you can swim and cool off. The public beach is just 400 yards away which has sand beach and swim area.

The Eastbrook variety store is 1 mile away which has basic supplies, milk, ice cream, cereal, etc. beer, wine, bait for fishing, plus offer breakfast and lunch to eat in or take out.

Although new at renting our camp, we have been renting our home in Bar Harbor since 2008, property #173759 if you would like to check reviews.

About Maryellen/August Lozano

I (Maryellen) was born in this area and grew up here. I was raised in Trenton Maine and now live in Bar Harbor with my husband Augie. Augie was born in New York City and came here to meet my parents before we got married and fell in love with the area. We have been living here together since 1987. We both enjoy the beauty of Acadia National Park with all it has to offer, hiking and biking trails, and the ocean activities. We enjoy the pond canoeing and kayaking. We know the area well and would be happy helping you with your plans for your vacation.

Maryellen/August Lozano purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Maryellen/August Lozano chose Downeast and Acadia

This camp is an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. When you are here you feel as if you are a hundred miles from anything but you can be back in the city of Ellsworth in 20 minute or in beautiful Acadia Park in 45 minutes. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature this is the place for you.

Exceeded expectations

  • 5 of 5

The cabin, lake (pond) and surroundings fully met and exceeded our high expectations. The cabin is very well maintained, spacious (even 5-6 people would not feel crowded), clean, and very generously and thoughtfully supplied with every possible kitchen-related item, clean sheets, blankets, pillows, books, DVDs, flat screen TV, games, etc. There is a regular size refrigerator and electric stove. There are also washing machines (with detergent), ironing board and iron (not used by us but maybe someone would want to do ironing while on a retreat), perfectly suitable shower and bathroom facilities. Fans throughout for that rare for Maine hot day. Without an attic, one enjoys high (cathedral style)ceilings. The lake is spectacular - close to the cabin, very quiet, and just the right size for exploration, swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, etc. A small but private beach is an extra bonus. The hosts are most welcoming and responsive, without being intrusive. This was our first visit but we hope to be back. Highly recommend!

Quiet & Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is rustic, clean, private, and oh so quiet. We spent a good part of each day at Acadia, but the kiddos loved being right along the water when we returned for so many reasons. Maryellen & Auggie were very helpful in answering questions about things to see and where to eat in the area. The times we were around for meals it was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen to cook in. Washer/dryer is also a nice bonus so we don't go home with a mountain of dirty laundry! You've thought of everything. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Quiet, and secluded.

  • 5 of 5

We and our friends been in the cottage for 9 days. Cottage is rustic style, very well equipped(full kitchen, jar for lobsters, full set lobster plates and tools, new refrigerator, DVD VHS and moves, tv cable, fire wood for whole stay, modern grill 4knobs), which we liked, actually very much :), they did great job, and we know that behind it is Auggie wife, special thank to you. To the lake is couple of steps, and you have all cove for yourself. Water was superb, you can swim, you need to be careful about big boulders layin on the bottom or use it as support. SO when we came back from hike, guess what, we plunge into the water(which u cant do in the ocean it is cooold). I cought some nice small mouth(18 in Auggie saw it :), near the island. Property is in the woods, well shaded from the sun. We liked it very much, it was so quiet and soothing so different from big city that we live in. It is 30min from city Ellswort with all store u might need, Walmart, Home depot, Hanna-something grocery. We had great vacation, complete satisfied. Thank u guys.

Idyllic and peaceful, very comfortable and roomy

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Getaway Cove. This is a comfortable and very clean cabin with lots of room to spread out, with very easy access to a lovely pond. It was extremely quiet and peaceful, most of the time there were only the sounds of insects and birds, the cry of the loon, jumping fish and the water lapping on the shore. Truly a peaceful getaway. The cabin is very comfortable, fully appointed with all you need to make dinner, have a glass of wine, make a fire outside, grill. We even made a cake and had all the necessary equipment and pans to do that. The location of the cabin is about 45 minutes from the Bar Harbor area and Acadia National park if you are so inclined to go there. We rented kayaks from a local guy who delivered them to us and picked them up. While we were kayaking we saw a bald eagle fishing. Certainly a thrill! We did a lot of travelling around, to Bangor, Eastport, Bar Harbor and Acadia, Schoodic Penninsula, Campobello Island in Canada. We took in a lumberjack show and ate a lot of lobster. I want to come back sometime and just hang around and watch the pond and kayak... that would be all would need to be happy. I highly recommend this stay to anyone who wants a quiet and peaceful location at a reasonable cost. Thank you very much, Augie and Maryellen!

The locals call the area Gods country because of it beauty. There are has many ponds and blueberry fields, 90% of Wild Maine blueberries are from this area.. You are away from everything for a relaxing stay with loons, eagles, and other wild life to enjoy, but close to Acadia National Park and DownEast attractions. Ellsworth is 20 minutes away with grocery stores, LLBean outlet, cinemas,Walmart, and shopping malls. Acadia Mount Desert Island is 45 minutes away with hiking trail, whale watching, carriage roads for biking, and of coarse a trip up Cadillac Mountain the first place the sun rises in the US.

Our camp is almost to the end of the camp road it is a car friendly dirt road but a one car road the last 1/4 mile, there are many spots to pull over if another car is coming the other way. This is where you begin to feel that you are truly getting away.
