About the property

3 Bedroom, One Bath Camp On Waters Edge, With Beach

Our three bedroom, one bath camp/ cottage on the waters edge of Webb Pond, sleeps 7 plus pull out sofa. We offer an updated camp with all the modern conveniences.

We have a new bathroom with a large shower, toilet, sink, washer and dryer. We also put in a new kitchen counter and sink. Smoke detector in all rooms, new windows with screens.

Wake up in the morning and have your coffee on the deck or down on the beach and watch the loons, ducks, and eagles. Drop a line in to fish or sit and read a book and relax.

Our camp has 3 bedrooms, two bedrooms have queen beds, the third has one single and a double bed. We have a very large open kitchen, dining, living area, plus a large enclosed porch overlooking the pond. Outside has dining table and a fire pit with adirondack chairs to enjoying, with easy access to shore to put in kayaks. There is also a beach for sun bathing, or a game of horseshoes.

Webb pond is a large 915 acre pond with a depth of 26 feet. With such a shallow depth there are some rocks which is not ideal for larger power boats, although some do water ski and tube. Making it a quiet and peaceful pond perfect for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The pond has Brook trout, small mouth bass, white perch and pickerel. There is a small island about a ten to fifteen minute paddle from shore a great spot to take a picnic lunch or just explore. We have a nice beach in front of the camp where you can swim and cool off. The public beach is just 400 yards away which has sand beach and swim area.

The Eastbrook variety store is 1 mile away which has basic supplies, milk, ice cream, cereal, etc. beer, wine, bait for fishing, plus offer breakfast and lunch to eat in or take out.

Although new at renting our camp, we have been renting our home in Bar Harbor since 2008, property #173759 if you would like to check reviews.

About Maryellen/August Lozano

I (Maryellen) was born in this area and grew up here. I was raised in Trenton Maine and now live in Bar Harbor with my husband Augie. Augie was born in New York City and came here to meet my parents before we got married and fell in love with the area. We have been living here together since 1987. We both enjoy the beauty of Acadia National Park with all it has to offer, hiking and biking trails, and the ocean activities. We enjoy the pond canoeing and kayaking. We know the area well and would be happy helping you with your plans for your vacation.

Maryellen/August Lozano purchased this cabin in 2013

This camp is an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. When you are here you feel as if you are a hundred miles from anything but you can be back in the city of Ellsworth in 20 minute or in beautiful Acadia Park in 45 minutes. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature this is the place for you.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Thank-you for sharing your cabin with us, we had a lot of fun and everything we needed was there! It's a wonderful getaway off the beaten road with all the necessities that are required on vacation. It comfortably slept our party of 7. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was a short drive to Acadia National Park and the perfect place to enjoy coastal Maine. The owners take excellent care of the property and we were surprised at how many updates have been done recently. If we're in the area again we hope it will be available.

Great house with everything you need inside

  • 5 of 5

We've enjoyed our stay at the house which is not too far from Bar Harbor and Acadia. The house had everything we needed and more and it was very spacious, clean and cozy (the pictures don't do it justice)

This cabin is absolutely wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is just far enough off the beaten path to give you a feeling of total privacy. It is quiet and at times we felt as if we had our own personal lake. It is located at nearly an equal distance to both sides of Acadia. There is a kayak rental nearby and the owner delivered within the hour. On the lake we spotted a bald eagle flying overhead.

The cabin itself is spacious and well stocked, it has everything you need besides food. The firepit is beside the lake for excellent views. Take plenty of Off, the mosquitoes are manageable if you are prepared.

There is no wi-fi, but the trade off is well worth the slight inconvenience.

Also, there is a man down the road who sells fresh lobster and seafood at a great price.

We would definitely use this cabin again.

Exceeded expectations

  • 5 of 5

The cabin, lake (pond) and surroundings fully met and exceeded our high expectations. The cabin is very well maintained, spacious (even 5-6 people would not feel crowded), clean, and very generously and thoughtfully supplied with every possible kitchen-related item, clean sheets, blankets, pillows, books, DVDs, flat screen TV, games, etc. There is a regular size refrigerator and electric stove. There are also washing machines (with detergent), ironing board and iron (not used by us but maybe someone would want to do ironing while on a retreat), perfectly suitable shower and bathroom facilities. Fans throughout for that rare for Maine hot day. Without an attic, one enjoys high (cathedral style)ceilings. The lake is spectacular - close to the cabin, very quiet, and just the right size for exploration, swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, etc. A small but private beach is an extra bonus. The hosts are most welcoming and responsive, without being intrusive. This was our first visit but we hope to be back. Highly recommend!

The locals call the area Gods country because of it beauty. There are has many ponds and blueberry fields, 90% of Wild Maine blueberries are from this area.. You are away from everything for a relaxing stay with loons, eagles, and other wild life to enjoy, but close to Acadia National Park and DownEast attractions. Ellsworth is 20 minutes away with grocery stores, LLBean outlet, cinemas,Walmart, and shopping malls. Acadia Mount Desert Island is 45 minutes away with hiking trail, whale watching, carriage roads for biking, and of coarse a trip up Cadillac Mountain the first place the sun rises in the US.

Our camp is almost to the end of the camp road it is a car friendly dirt road but a one car road the last 1/4 mile, there are many spots to pull over if another car is coming the other way. This is where you begin to feel that you are truly getting away.
