Escape to a beautiful, picturesque log cabin in Glen Haven, Colorado. This private cabin is located one-quarter mile from the main road and is the ideal get-a-way retreat for a cozy, relaxing get-a-way vacation for a couple or small family. The cabin is on the North Fork of the Big Thompson River just 15 minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is a great spot to stage your hiking, photography, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, biking, or other outdoor activities within the great Rocky Mountains, or just relax. This cozy cabin is one bedroom, one bath with fireplace and a perfect getaway. (Please, no smoking or pets. We love our pets and have several ourselves, but there are others who have allergies to pets).

About Marsha & Ken Hobert

We have lived in Glen Haven since 1981 and wouldn't live anywhere else. Glen Haven is a small, private community, outside of Estes Park.It is so beautiful and peaceful with the sound of the river at our doorstep. There are easy trails into the forest following the sound of the river along the way.

Marsha & Ken Hobert purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Marsha & Ken Hobert chose Front Range Colorado

We fell in love with the log cabin and bought it within a few hours of it being put on the market. Having a home up the road, we wanted to have another place to rent out when family and friends were not visiting.

What makes this cabin unique

The best thing about the Glen is the sound of the river and the wonderful, private community. We look forward to personally showing you to the cabin for your relaxing visit.

Lovely little cabin tucked away in a beautiful little community

  • 5 of 5

Marsha and Ken's cabin was the perfect getaway for our family. We stayed for a week and two of our adult daughters were able to spend a few of those days with us. The cabin was so cozy and filled with reminders of days gone by...They had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. After days of hiking and exploring in Rocky Mountain Park, and shopping in Estes, we so looked forward to ending our day in our quiet cozy little cabin away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you for such a fantastic vacation!

Cozy, quiet, comfortable cabin

  • 4 of 5

My two friends and I drove down from Canada to stay in this little hideaway. The cabin was a perfect size for three of us. Everything we needed was provided! Ken and Marsha were great hosts and made us feel right at home; we appreciated their warm hospitality. It's a short drive from the cabin to Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park. It was peaceful to come home to a cozy cabin after long days of exploring. Sitting on the deck, listening to the river and enjoying the night sky was one of our favourite evening activities. It's a great location - we had an excellent stay!

Cabin was everything we hoped it would be. Perfect location if you want to get away from everyone.

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days here with two of our grandsons and loved how we felt the peace of the mountains and stream, but we're just minutes from Estes Park and all it has to offer.

Loved this cabin. Very clean, quite and peacefull. The sounds from the creek is amazing! Close to Estes and RMNP Trail Ridge road. Ken and Marsha were very kind, and helpfull. Make sure you stop at the general store in the morning for the yummy rolls.

I hope to come back....It's worth every penny!

Just What We Wanted

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for us! It was quaint, comfortable, removed from the chaos of Estes Park, quiet, and in a beautiful setting. We had a great time hiking in RMNP, bike riding in Estes, and hiking in Roosevelt National Forest and coming "home" to such a peaceful place was wonderful. Dinner on the deck in the evenings was the best, bbq worked great, bed was very comfortable, towels were thick and soft. The kitchen was stocked well too - we had everything we needed.

The cabin just before ours was empty most of the time but the last couple of nights some folks arrived. They were quiet but had a too bright flood light on at night which was a bummer. Also, we were sad to not see any wild life while there. The only suggestion we would have is to have some personal suggestions from the Hoberts about favorite places to go out to dinner.

If we can come back to RMNP in the future we will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends who are looking for a place!

Peaceful get away

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Marsha and Ken for allowing us to rent your cabin. It was so peaceful and calming. The accommodations were very comfortable. We enjoyed listening to the river and the aspen trees blowing in the wind. Its a great place to go if you want to get away from it all. A special surprise was walking down the hill to the General store and eating their cinnamon rolls for breakfast. They were absolutely delicious.
