Sunny, garden level 'in-law' apartment in Classic San Francisco Victorian built in 1896. High on the hill overlooking Noe Valley & The Mission. This charming, bright studio, has hardwood floors and low ceilings (some rafters leave only 6' clearance).
Newly remodeled kitchen with granite countertop, gas stove and dishwasher. The bedroom has a built-in double bed. There are down comforters for the bed and the living-room convertible sleeper that is between twin and full size. The cozy little bathroom has a newly tiled shower.
The studio has its own private entrance from the street and lovely landscaping just outside the many windows. A washer and dryer are located in the unit.
Walking distance to Noe Valley, The Castro and The Mission districts' shopping and restaurants.
You can walk 2 blocks East to the J-Church Muni streetcar line that goes to Dolores Park, Union Square and the Embarcadero waterfront of downtown San Francisco. Or you can walk just a block and a half West to a bus stop for the #24, and you can ride or walk 8 blocks North to The City’s famous Castro neighborhood, where you’ll find even more shops and restaurants, as well as the classic Art Deco Castro movie house and the Muni underground lines that go West to the Pacific and East to the Bay.
Street parking is available. Certain blocks have 2 hour permit restrictions, other adjacent blocks do not. Always check signs for Permit requirements and Street Sweeping restrictions.
We had a wonderful stay at this very charming apartment. It is very convenient to the buses, the neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and the apartment was comfortable and homey and immaculately clean. The ceilings are low and the bathroom is very small, so it might not be suitable for someone who is very tall or a large person but we found it very adequate for our needs. We are so looking forward to staying in this nice rental on our next trip out. Thanks for helping to make our trip a terrific one.
My daughter and husband greatly enjoyed their stay in this beautiful apartment, well situated, clean and quiet. Shawn was very helpful and welcoming.
I spent a week in San Francisco for work and I am so happy to have found this studio. The location is great and I was able to walk to Castro, Noe Valley shops, Whole Foods, the J stop is so very close and it was easy to get to the BART stop in the Mission (about 1 mile but downhill!) as well. The photos accurately showed the studio and I appreciated the that the place was clean, quiet and safe with great wifi and quality linens. Deposit was returned in about one week. I would definitely stay again!
We stayed here the last week of September. Great space in a great location. Shawn was very good responding all our questions. Instructions on how to get to the place were clear and we did not have any problem. Very comfortable studio. The only negative was the small bathroom but we managed. The bed was in a way that seems to be a separate room from the rest of the studio. I was worried about parking and there was nothing to be worried about. We got parking right in front of the apartment all the time. Deposit was returned within a week. We will be back.
We had a wonderful time. The studio is in a good location to access public transit and was very quiet and private.
This was a humble 1 bedroom/effiencentcy that worked great for our father/daughter trip. The place provided all that we needed in a place to stay while we saw the town. We left the house each morning before 9:00 am and returned in the evening around 9:00 pm. I personally enjoy an apartment setting where we can cook our breakfast and prepare a lunch to take with us before we headed out each day for sight seeing. I was disappointed there was no coffee machine, big downer!
This location worked on for us, as we are two active people. However, be advised the house is on a hill and if you prefer to use the public rail and bus for transportation the hill up to the house, from multiple directions, is extremely steep. Therefore, if your sight seeing does not keep you gone all day and you do not have a rental car, the walk up the hill would become very taxing if you had to do several times a day.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay, the owner was very professional, and had left a small bottle of wine as a welcome gift upon our arrival.
I would recommend this place to those looking for a clean safe places to stay, when the majority of the day is spent away from the house.
