Welcome to Mt. Ralphmore!
Absolutely the best in every way...location, scenic views & price. This mountain retreat is built in the Heart of the Colorado Rockies(more 14,000' mountains here than anywhere else in North America), breath-taking mountain views in every direction, best view of the famous Chalk Cliffs.
Overlooks & constructed on the banks of the beautiful Chalk Creek w/ floor to ceiling windows.. Enjoy the beauty (magnificent) & sounds of nature (bubbling creek below), watch the wildlife (deer, elk, fox) fish, hike or sit out on the 40' plus wrap around porch. The large screened in porch is great for outdoor eating and relaxing as well.
This is a warm & wonderfully built abode w/ all the comforts & amenities (maybe more) of home. With 3 full baths and 6 separate vanities, everyone gets accommodated.
Mt. Ralphmore is located just 15 min. & 23 min. respectively from the historic towns of Buena Vista & Salida, where charm, dining, shopping & galleries abound!
The San Isabel National Forest, St. Elmo (famous ghost town & great place to feed the chipmunks or rent jeeps/snowmobiles), Mt Princeton Hot Springs (Colorado's #1 hot springs)& the Arkansas River (great rafting or fly fishing) are all right here.
Monarch, Ski Cooper & Copper Ski Resorts are all 35-45 min. away, as is Leadville (lots of history there). Breckenridge is just a bit over an hour & Vail is 1 hr. & 30 min. Located 90 miles from Colorado Springs, flying in & out is easy.
Plenty of activities to enjoy year round. The best place to take a family, take a friend, take a break & take a vacation!

We live in Dallas, have a career in real estate and a passion for design. We enjoy sharing what we have been blessed with!
Elizabeth Baker purchased this house in 2008
We have been coming to this area for over 40 yrs. We built in this particular area because it is in such close proximity to all that Colorado has to offer. The view is tremendous and the location fabulous. It just does not get any better than this!
The best home in the area w/ the finest views. A very warm inviting home that sits on three+ acres overlooking Chalk Creek, the Chalk Cliffs, Mt Princeton & Mt Antero. Hearing the bubbling of the creek or viewing the Chalk Cliffs at sunrise, walking down Bunny Lane or driving up to St. Elmo, memories for a lifetime will be made.
I have been meaning to write you all week about our visit to Mt Ralphmore. WE LOVED IT! The house was beautiful and met all of our expectations. The kitchen was fantastic and large enough to handle all of our cooks. We loved the sound of the creek running behind the house. We got lots of pictures of the deer in the yard. Our 7-year-old granddaughter let the deer eat from her hands almost every night. The location was perfect for riding our 4-wheelers and Can-Am. We rode nearly a hundred miles on our 4-wheelers and Can-am. The hot springs were so convenient. The weather was so nice--then we had to come home to very hot and sultry conditions. We even had to hunt out our hoodies one night and sit by the firepit! Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our visit and how much we appreciated your willingness to work with us. Thank you again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Buena Vista for a family white water rafting trip. Our most memoriable experiences, though, were at the home!
This home is huge and provides all the necessary home conveniences that are needed such as linens, dishes, towels. Surprisingly to us, the home backed up to Chalk Creek and the kids were able to fish while the adults BBQd on the wrap around deck. We also enjoyed the fire pit as well. We hope to return in 2017!!
We are from Colorado and my parents lived in Nathrop for many years. We were seeking a comfortable home where we could have my parents, my husband, my brother and me all comfortably stay and enjoy time together My parents were celebrating their 50th Anniversary and my husband and I our 21st...it was a perfect week! The setting could not have been more beautiful and the home more perfectly appointed. I won't be surprised if we all decide to stay in the same location during the next family adventure!

This cabin is beautiful! Our family of 10 stayed here very comfortably. The owners where very easy to work with. The location is perfect for just about anything you could imagine doing while in Colorado. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone and plan on returning next year with our family again!
This is an excellent property. The pictures are good but reality is better. The views are wonderful as you are surrounded by 14000+ foot mountains and the river is right in front of you. There is excellent fishing in a small lake an easy 7-8 minute walk down the road. My entire family loved the house and location. There were 6 of us and plenty of room for more. The owner was professional and easy to deal with!
House was immaculate! Location and views were spectacular. Have recommended the house to our friends. The owners were so pleasant to work with. We went in spring but each season would be wonderful. Even with 12 people we had space to move and relax without stepping on each other. Tons of activities to do nearby.
Mt. home is just one mile from natural hot springs and all that has to offer. Kids and adults enjoy the year round pools and springs and spa. Another wonderful short and beautiful drive is on up the road to St. Elmo, old historic ghost town with seasonal offroading vehicles, feeding the chipmunks and antiquing. Great spots to sled in the winter months. Agnes Falls, another short drive up the road, one can hike up and see gorgeous sights all in under an hour.
