The Crimora Mine Retreat cabin was family built in 2006-2007. The property was originally purchased with no standing structures. The Edwards family have put time and thoughtfulness into every detail of their home.
Franci, Terry, & Megan Edwards purchased this cabin in 2005
Crimora Mine Retreat is unlike any other property... Just listen to our renter's comments! The pictures you see just don't do the scenery justice. Once you step foot in Crimora we guarantee you will want to come back again and again.
Scenically exceptional... bring your camera!
The house was immaculate, clean and super fun. The owners are really nice about the whole trip and were able to answer all of my questions and make the experience wonderful. We caught fish, grilled dinner, went for a hike to name a few things. Can't say enough about how nice the house is. It was everything we wanted and more. We will be booking again!
My group had a truly amazing time at the cabin.
Our trip was actually one-and-a-half years in the making: Last year, I planned a cabin getaway for my 30th birthday. My boyfriend and I were moving back east from Montana and wanted to do something relaxing with a good group of friends. But two weeks before our Crimora weekend, during our cross-country drive, we were hit by an intoxicated driver in the middle of the desert. I ended up in a hospital in New Mexico for a month and was then confined to a wheelchair for the next six months. Thankfully, the Edwards were kind enough to rebook us for any dates of our choosing, so that when I was finally back up my feet, my boyfriend and I could enjoy a wonderful cabin getaway with a good group of friends.
We all fell in love with this place while there and are already planning return trips! I never write reviews, but that's just how lovely this cabin is.
Great property for a getaway. Would definitely recommend to others.
Owners are very responsive w/ their communication and easy to deal with.
Seven of my friends and I have been escaping to mountain cabins for five years now in an effort to maintain our friendships, seeing as we are all living in different states. Each time we have travelled to a different cabin in the mountains but after our stay at the Crimora Mine Retreat it was unanimous that we would definitely return. The cabin is spectacular as is the beautiful property it sits on. The views were outstanding no matter where you turned. The secluded property with numerous trails around the property were perfect for leisurely hikes. The lake pavilion was a great change of pace as a lot of laughs were shared at the outdoor hearth. The owner's were easy to deal with and more than accommodating. We all agreed that this was by far the best place we've stayed.
I rented Cirmora for a surprise 40th birthday weekend for my wife! We had three other couples come that weekend and had the best time! We had rented from Friday to Sunday but regret not renting it for at least another day. This place is just amazing. I can't imagine how anyone could be disappointed. It's truly spectacular!!
This "cabin" is really a luxury mini-lodge. Top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, a rec room basement equipped with everything you need for laid back family fun, a gorgeous 150 acres of wooded views, and your own lake with a lakeside pavilion that has even MORE to do!!! Our family of 10 loved everything about this cabin and its owner, Teri, was a delight. I recommend this place to anyone who wants true R&R with a side of activity. Go and enjoy.
