Architect's Condo on Eagle River near Beaver Creek & Vail

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,550 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 10 nights

About the property

sleeps 5-6: 3 bedrooms, 3 baths,

Top floor, sunny 2-level unit with vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan for easy entertaining. Located on the Eagle River; in the summer you can open windows/deck doors and listen to the river, then sleep under Down/Primaloft comforters. The nearest Beaver Creek ski lift is only 5 minutes away and the parking lot is just 100 yards from the lift. For Apres ski, you can warm up in front of the condo's wood burning fireplace. Enjoy the outdoors: you are close to world class rafting, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing and golfing, with fly fishing just downhill from the deck. I'm an Architect and half of my work is in the Vail Valley, so I still use my home-away-from-home a handful of nights each month. I continue to update my condo so when you stay here, consider yourself a patron to the arts for the current artistic phase. Thank you for visiting and have a safe vacation.

View/Location: On Eagle River - great view, great fly-fishing, great river sounds. Mountain View: 360-degree Mountain Views - with a limited view of Beaver Creek ski runs. South facing 2-Story Condo 1 mile from nearest ski lift, walking distance to shopping, restaurants and theaters, 20 minutes to Eagle/Vail Airport, 2 hours from DIA.

Condo History: I bought my 3-bed/3-bath condo in 1998, and it was my primary residence until I moved to Denver in the summer of 2007.

About Andrew James Abraham, AIA

I moved to Vail Valley in January 1994 and bought this condo as my first home in July 1998. Then in January 2001 I opened my mountain Architecture home-office and in 2007, i moved to Denver and opened my city Architecture home-office. I still stay at my condo a couple times a month for work and play.

Andrew James Abraham, AIA purchased this condo in 1998

Why Andrew James Abraham, AIA chose Edwards

I selected my Edwards condo for the neighborhood -- located on the Eagle River and just south of the town's Park; it's also very close to skiing at Beaver Creek & Vail & biking/hiking in the mountains, and within walking distance to the heart of Edwards. And it's 20 minutes from Eagle-Vail Airport and 2 hours from Denver. When I moved to Denver, I was able to make the condo available for others, as it is a great home away from home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Had a great time! Fit four boys & mom and dad wonderfully. Great hiking and love the walkable community. The movie Theater was cute. We will be back!" (from guestbook)

Parking available for 3 vehicles. The kitchen includes all black and stainless new appliances: gas range/convection oven, granite countertops, custom kiln-baked tile backsplash, breakfast bar, and Brita is provided. There is a propane BBQ Grill on the deck with two tanks, which also has table/chairs, antique coke machine, firewood, workbench, and overlooks the river. There is a wireless modem for internet (USB cables also provided) and 3 TVs with Cable. The shared pool is typically open Memorial Day to Labor Day and located on the Eagle River next to pool house - within 50 yards of Condo. HOWEVER: the pool will be closed for Spring for repairs with an unknown opening date this summer, 2011. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Though I lived at the condo for 12 years with my dog, the Condo Association won't allow pets for renters or guests. Too bad, it's a great property with over 30 Acres along the river.

Great Location and Nicely Appointed

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for several months. It is perfectly located near interstate, shopping, restaurants, and resorts. Very roomy. Has everything you will need including some food, some toiletries, and cleaning supplies. Area is quiet. Parking is good. Easy access. Well furnished. WIFI. What else do you need? Highly recommend.

Loved it !

  • 5 of 5

This was the second year we stayed at this property during the holiday. We absolutely love how convenient everything is, from restaurants to the shuttle for Beaver Creek Village. The owner is extremely easy to communicate with and is very accommodating. Great experience again.

Nice space on the Eagle River in the heart of Edwards

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of four (two teenagers) who spent a week in August staying in this property. The space accommodated us great. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the sound of the river off the balcony is wonderful. It's steps to the pool, walking distance to Riverwalk and the skateboard park, and minutes from anywhere in the Valley.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

This condo was in a great location, perfect for fall color day trips in any direction. Easy access to Vail/BC and Carbondale/Basalt. Quite condo and neighborhood. Open the door to the deck and you can hear the creek rushing by. Watched the full moon rise from the deck as well. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, to cook or grill out at night, and it's close to Edwards if you don't want to cook :)

Would definitely come back - in any season!

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

This condo has everything you need for a great stay and is close to the Edwards town center, bike trail along the Eagle River, Beavercreek, and Vail. The condo is very spacious (we have 2 teenagers) and we still had plenty of space. The owner was really easy to work with and highly recommend this property especially compared to other places in Beavercreek and Vail, which were double the rate per night if not more and you're only 10-15 minutes from Vail. Beavercreek is right down Hwy. 6 about 10 minutes.

Starry skies and listening to the Eagle River at night with the windows open in early August were an added bonus! Nice pool on property for warm afternoons too. Check out Fiestas in town for good Mexican food.

We would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
