2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, Sleeps 2 - 4
My mother moved to the Shenandoah Valley in 1969 with 3 children and 1 one the way. I was the one on the way. In the fall of 1970, My Uncle Joe, Aunt Jackie and my mother, Nancy, began Shenandoah River Outfitters with two old aluminum canoes and a dream. I started Mountain Whisper Cabins in 2005 after purchasing the cabin I grew up in and settling back into the Valley.
Andrea purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Andrea chose Rileyville
The Falling Leaf was added to my cabin business in 2009. My, Uncle Joe, wrote, “[Shenandoah] I dipped my paddle in your life and you refreshed me.” The valley is a place to fill your soul in all the seasons, and I would like to share it with you.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Falling Leaf log cabin has beautiful views, wood burning fireplace and is nestled within walking distance to the Legendary Shenandoah River.

Falling Leaf Cabin
This cabin was perfect for a getaway in the mountains! It’s close to everything we wanted to do- hiking and kayaking on the river! The cabin is very comfortable and had everything we needed!
This cabin is located Ideally if you need peace and quiet. It has it in spades. It has a tv. We didn't turn it on which would have violated the silence. But then that's your prerogative.
Charming secluded cabin close to Luray and Skyline Drive
Clean, quiet, quaint
Great valley view from elevated deck
Well maintained including whirlpool
Wonderful birthday weekend!
My husband and I had a lovely, restful weekend at Falling Leaf Cabin. The scenery was such a nice change of pace from DC. Hearing the river flow by in the distance was so calming. The cabin itself was perfect, with all the amenities we could ask for. Loved soaking in the hot tub after an afternoon of hiking by Skyline Drive. Thanks so much, Andrea!
Cozy and convenient
Well kept, cozy cabin.
Wonderful birthday weekend
We spent 3 magical days in the cabin and enjoyed every moment. We watched from the deck as the the coming of Spring changed the views almost as we watched. The redbuds lining the approach to the cabin were at their peak which made it even more spectacular. Andrea provided a slew of guide books to the hikes in the area which we made full use of. We particularly enjoyed the bluebells in the Shenandoah River Park and a myriad of other wild flowers emerging on the walks we did on the Appalachian Trail. The cabin had everything one could need for a happy stay. We will be back!
