About Lisa (daughter of owner's)
My name is Marietta, I hope you enjoy Sanibel as much as my Family has over the last 30+years. If you do vacation here on Sanibel Island you will definitely get hooked and continue coming for years to come. Thanks for renting one of our condos.
Lisa (daughter of owner's) purchased this Condo in 2008
Why Lisa (daughter of owner's) chose Sanibel Island
Most Sanibel vacations seem to always lead to a lifetime of recurring vacations. My Husband and I first visited Sanibel with our 4 children over 30 years ago and returned once or twice every year since then. We did eventually purchase a home on Sanibel and now live there 7 months out of each year.
What makes this Condo unique
Sanibel is definitely a place to relax and enjoy the beach, sun and beauty of the island. Almost 70% of Sanibel is permanently preserved and will never be built on. The island boast some of the best biking paths anywhere where small children can bike safely. It might rain in Fort Myers but winter rains on Sanibel are quite rare. There are numerous great restaurants and a new shaded children's playground available. Shelling can become addictive so be careful.

Great oceanside vacation
We had the best time at Sanibel Surfside. So close to the beach and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Unit is very well equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. Boogie boards for the kids, beach chairs, umbrellas and a rolling cooler. Kitchen had several essentials (salt, pepper, aluminum foil etc)which was nice.
Lisa was awesome to work with. Very quick to reply to any questions. The unit is amazingly clean and comfortable. We had four people, two adults two teens, and we had plenty of room.
We would stay here again for sure. What a lovely vacation spot!
Lovely stay at a nice condo!
We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Our favorite part about it is the master overlooking the Gulf and hearing the waves all night long and waking up to them too! So lovely! The condo was clean and had all the necessities for our stay, including very nice beach chairs and umbrella in the storage unit. The condo could use some updating. The master bathroom was very tiny but loved the shower head! Washer and dryer units much smaller than other condos we've stayed at. The beach is near a public beach so it was a little more congested than we like, but overall it was a wonderful stay on Sanibel Island. It's our favorite place to be during spring break.
Great Family Stay in Sanibel Surfside 125
The Condo condition was exactly what we would expect for the value and the view was perfect. We have stayed with our family in many similar condos and this was the first time not being on the ground level. This unit was the garage next to the stairs and elevator which was very convenient. Something to think about when choosing this unit, you actually gain great living space because you can fully utilize the lanai for living space. When we would stay on ground floor the lanai ends up being a catch all for the beach items.
On how the unit was supplied it exceeded our expectations, it had most of all the basics supplies covered and the condition of the beach chairs was top rate. We would definitely stay in this unit in future visits to the island.
Nice, well-stocked condo; fantastic location and great views.
With amazing views, a quick walk to the pool, beach, and bike trails, a well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of puzzles and games, this is a great rental property.
This may be the best unit on Sanibel
+10: Location. Close to the beach! 45 seconds from condo door to wet toes. Easy path between condo and beach.
+9: Condo. Fantastic veranda facing the ocean near enough to hear the surf and watch for birds and water life. Sticks out 8 feet on one side which allows superior view down the shore AND a wonderful natural wind breeze through ventilation.
+9: Beach. I love this beach myself, but it is sparser than others if you are into shelling. Not a problem for me. Nice sand, long long easy shallow beach means waves break further out and near shore is quieter, warmer, and has lots of room to play.
+10: Extras. An elevator so we don't schlepp our luggage, groceries, etc up/down 2 flights. Parking immediately adjacent to elevator. Ground level storage for beach stuff (all supplied).
+10: Cleanliness. All surfaces were spotless with no telltale fingerprints on knobs, faucets, or handles. No hidden dustbunnies under bed or couch. Spotless shower. All drawers were clean.
+10: Amenities. As mentioned in the other reviews, this unit has considerably more amenities than any other VRBO we've stayed at.Extra food in cupboards and frig, toiletries including bug spray, sun block, itch medicines (darn noseeums), etc.
+9: Night Sky. Sanibel is an excellent island for night sky viewing. It doesn't allow beachside lighting, and many of the residents/businesses have installed downward lighting.
+10: Nature. J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, SCCF, Shell museum, Bailey tract, Tarpon bay, Bowmans beach. This is really a feature of Sanibel, regardless of where you stay. The folks on this island are proudly aggressive conservationists.Island is walking/Biking friendly. Be sure to drive accordingly. And you have to wait for the turtles and alligators to cross the road. Really!
Visit Ding Darling refuge during it's low tide, when the birds are all dining and dancing on the exposed sand. The reserve's tide schedule is about 2 1/2 hours behind the ocean side tide schedule, so low tide at the condo beach at 9am means low tide in the reserve at around 11:30am.
Take a guided tram tour on your first visit, self guided car/biking/walking there after.
Best restaurants are Timbers (get the fresh catch of the day), Lazy Flamingo, and Sunset Grill.
Finally, be sure to nerd out and get the tide, sunrise/set, and moonrise/set times from online when you first arrive.
Sanibel surfside 125 was a great unit to stay in. Lovely view of the beach from the porch. Kitchen had all the right tools to cook "just like home" and the beach closet had everything for the beach......towels, chairs, umbrella, and cooler!! Even after hurrican Irma, looking past the damage it created, it was a fine place to be. We will return again. Thanks so much, it was a great vacation!!
