About Hilary Billings
My husband and I share this home with our four sons. We have lived in San Francisco for 20 years and have brought our children up in this home for 16 years.
Hilary Billings purchased this House in 1997
Why Hilary Billings chose Outer Richmond
Lake Street is one of the prettiest streets in San Francisco. The street is a long, flat boulevard that runs along the Presidio so it is edged by wilderness along the entire length. It is a perfect neighborhood for kids as it is safe and easy to walk and filled the parks to play in. We chose the Richmond for its proximity to all the special sites in the city, including the Presidio, the Golden Gate Park and the beaches. There are shopping streets and many parks within a few blocks. It is close to all parts of the city and only a 2 minute drive to the Golden Gate bridge, making getting to Marin or Napa very easy and fast.
What makes this House unique
Our home has been recently remodeled to create an open, sunny floorplan. There are windows in every part of the house and all the rooms are spacious. Our home is bright and light, even on foggy days.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great location. Super clean and beautiful house looks and feels brand new. High ceilings. Looks just like the pix. Highly recommended.
Family week in San Francisco
Wonderful week for a family of 5 including 3 teenagers age 13-16-17. Superb and large house, well taken-care of and well equipped ( bed sheets, towels, cooking gear and appliances). Calm neighborhood right between the Golden Gate Park and The Presidio. The teens really enjoyed the basketball net, the Grand Piano and the guitars. We were absolutely satisfied with our stay.

The home is in a fascinating part of the city and is both spacious and well appointed.
Our hosts were gracious and helpful and we wanted for nothing. Plenty of room and the home was clean, full of interesting books and artifacts. Walking in the Richmond District, Seacliff, Lands End and the beaches (China and Baker) were highlights---all of this within walking distance. Some of the City's nearby on Clement Street and Golden Gate park a 5 minute drive. We will be back.
A Blend of Modern Tech & Luxorious Comfort
It is evident that hospitality runs somewhere in the veins of this family. Inside, you will find well appointed spaces that have been carefully thought of, each corner telling a story.
The house harmonizes state of the art technology, such as a 200 mbps internet downlink or Nest thermostats, and comfort that is usually exclusive to luxury hotels. If you want to cook, you will find a professional range and appliances; a true chefs kitchen.
In a city that is perpetually plugged in - you can easily untangle your day and unplug here with any of the near hundred books tucked away in every corner of the house. The neighbourhood is clean and quiet. You can enjoy some local eats which are walking distance or a short 20 min car ride will take you right into the heart of the city.
My co-workers and I rented this space during a hectic conference and our days ended with us looking forward to coming "home" to unwind. Having travelled all over the world for work - it's rare for hotels or spaces to envoke that feeling.
Hilary is an attentive host, her response times are perfect and she is a pleasure to communicate with. She takes pride in her home and her virtual hospitality.
Thank you for hosting, Hilary.
Perfect for family vacation
We enjoyed your lovely, spacious home so very much especially our grandchildren. There was plenty of toys, games, cards, musical instruments and the hoop outside to keep them happily engaged. Our granddaughter slept on the top floor (next to us) in the office all snuggled up on the couch. We found every thing we needed and more. We loved being in walking distance to a vast array of quaint restaurants and markets. Thank you for allowing us to share your lovely home😎
Beautiful house and convenient location!
We had a great time here
