We are the Biasotto's from Ocean View, Delaware. We are a semi retired family who spend half the year in Puerto Rico and half at our home at the beach in the states. While in PR, we live upstairs at Casa Bonita and are available to assist our guests with any thing that they might need. See our many reviews for examples of our hospitality and respect for your privacy on your special vacation. Sincerely, Larry, Margie and Joey.
Larry purchased this House in 2006
Why Larry chose Bajura
We bought our property at Shacks Beach simply because there is no better ocean front location in Puerto Rico. As you can see in the photo's, the beauty speaks for itself. The ocean at Shacks provides every recreational activity imaginable. Swimming, surfing, SUP, kite and windsurfing, snorkeling and diving. Conditions here are world class.

Celebrating a 50th birthday!
What a great trip, this is a perfect house for celebrating a 50th birthday. The in-law suit worked out perfectly as well the extra space is nice. Casa Bonita is very well equipped house add the pool and hands down all you need is a swimsuit and snorkel gear. Dinning alfresco and using the bbq keeps the mess out of the kitchen and the breeze allows for very comfortable summer days. I really cannot say enough about this house except “if you have shoes on, your over dressed.” We will definitely be back.
Thank you Kim! Glad you all had such a great time and we hope you can come back soon!
Serene, quiet very special spot
We could not have been happier with the oceanfront location, and access to small Casa Bonita pool. Sunsets in the ocean breezes were amazing and washed all stress away. Ample outdoor seating options ranged from seaside platform with comfy lounge chairs and amazing unobstructed ocean views, to nest of cushioned chairs in the shade for coffee. We enjoyed watching surfers and kite boarders, and snorkeling was wonderful just off the terrace.
We rented both apartments and each was all inclusive (bedroom, bath, full kitchen). Rooms were clean and comfortable with special island touches throughout. Covered patio and lounging area were a true bonus with high top tables. Outdoor shower and washer and dryer were great. Owners live upstairs and are available whenever anything is needed, including advice on restaurants and attractions.
Our favorite excursion was a long walk on the beach from the home that winds along relatively remote beachfront with beautiful views and wildlife.
The island is recovering, and the charm is alive. The Islanders are delightful and even in a local bakery/fueling station, we were wished “buen provecho” by others enjoying breakfast on their way to work. We enjoyed this lovely, welcoming, and safe place and hope to visit Casa Bonita in Isabela again soon!
Oceanfront Paradise - Post Maria
This was our third stay at Casa Bonita and we can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We were pleased to see that the home survived hurricane Maria without damage. We rented both CB1 and CB2. My husband and I stayed in one unit and our children (22, 20 & 16) stayed in the other. Both units are clean and comfortable, with well appointed kitchens. We prepared many of our meals on site and enjoyed the amazing views from the covered patio. With temps in the 80’s with gentle breezes, we spent most of time outside. The beach is just steps away. Snorkeling is the best in the area. We brought our own snorkel gear and explored the extensive reef ($40/set at Costco - the price of one day rental), There’s surfing at Shacks for experienced riders and our son had a blast. This beach is a favorite for kite surfers from around the world- so fun to watch! We spent most of our vacation at Casa Bonita but the many of the area’s best surfing beaches are just minutes away- Jobos, Surfers, Ruins, Wilderness- heaven for surfers.
We had concerns about vacationing in PR after Maria but were so glad we returned! PR is open for business! The restaurants are open in Aguadilla and Jobos and the grocery stores are fully stocked. There’s a new food truck park in Jobo’s with great Mexican and traditional Puerto Rican food offerings. We were warmly welcomed by all we met. Puerto Rico is coming back better than ever.
Perfect family retreat
Casa Bonita was the perfect location for our family vacation. The view says it all, the pictures are absolutely accurate and I think we took maybe 50 pictures of that view because it was so beautiful. You have the apartments (we stayed in the one bedroom, and the kids stayed in the two bedroom (ages 10, 12, and 14) but then you have a ton of outdoor space: the covered deck with 4 different seating areas, the pool deck with three loungers and two seats on the west side and the upper pool deck area. All have some form of shade, which I like. There was a very nice afternoon-evening breeze that felt so wonderful.
The house is elevated from the beach; maybe about 12 steps up. There is a foot bath right at the bottom step as well as an outdoor shower up the steps and left -very thoughtful! The owners provided beach chairs, beach toys and pool toys. We brought our beach towels from home and snorkeling gear. The beach is clean and private; There are mangroves and palm trees in abundance to provide shade. We didn't really use them but to keep our things cooler since we were in the water or throwing the frisbee around or going on walks. Shacks beach and the Blue Hole with the outer drop-off reef are literally right in front of you. We walked in almost directly and let the ocean drift (gentle east to west) take us over the coral and sea life. We arranged for a scuba instructor to come right to the home and we walked into the ocean and saw some excellent diving conditions! There are underwater caves and tunnels at the Blue Hole-fun! The water is very clear: you can see from the house the sandy blue bottom from the darker reef parts. We saw abundant fish, sea turtles, starfish, anemones, and even an octopus! I walked every morning at dawn, barefoot. It is about 1.5 miles to Jobos beach. We took surfing lessons there with Verdeazul.
If the location wasn't enough, we had it all at Casa Bonita. Having the private pool, the kids spent hours and hours a day in the pool when they were tired of the ocean, even into the evening. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. The property is gated and private; we felt completely at ease.
The rooms had air conditioning if you needed it, comfortable terra-cotta tile floors, hot water for showers and towels in abundance. Full size washer and dryer for laundry and a brand new outdoor grill. We loved the local food. Everyone is very nice.
We highly recommend and will be back for sure!
Best vacation ever!
The overall kind, helpful, clean & organized atmosphere that surrounds Casa Bonita is a traveling families dream!
Three generations vacationed at Casa Bonita and we unanimously agreed that is was the most restful, easiest & fun-filled vacation.
Larry & Margie are amazing homeowners who provided all travel information needed prior to our trip & during our trip. Each activity suggested was exactly as described and most were within walking distance or a short drive.
The apartments were super organized in each living area from bedrooms to bathrooms to the living room and kitchen. Everything we could have needed was provided. In addition, the outdoor eating area was our absolute favorite. We loved eating our cereal and watching the sun rise over the ocean and then taking a beach walk or swim.
The kitchen had every item needed to prepare meals. What a great welcome that set the tone for the whole vacation.
As the week progressed we utilized the washer & dryer which allowed us to travel with only carry-on bags. What a huge airline fee savings!
Many thanks for a great first (but definitely not the last) Puerto Rico experience.
Heavens little oasis
This was our sixth time to Puerto Rico and the first time in a home away rental. This is hands down the absolute best trip EVER. It beat out the GRand Melia and the Waldorf Astoria.
The home is a gorgeous property. It is exceptionally well kept and the owners are simply wonderful.
We cooked in each evening on the grill. The steaks from the nearby market are excellent and the fresh tuna from the Reef fish market was wonderful.
We snorkeled right out in front of the house. I walked the beach up and back. We watched the beautiful kite surfing. When we did finally leave the house we were a short 15 minute drive from crash boat beach. That has to be one of the most beautiful and calm beaches I have ever visited.
From the pool to the beach front to the most gracious of host this is absolutely repeat rental for us. Over and over again. Debby and Roy.
Located directly ocean front on Shacks Beach, Barrio Bajuras, Isabela PR. Walk down our steps out to the point break at Shacks. Protected sandy bottom swimming less than 75 feet away!
