Chad was very responsive, flexible and easy to communicate with before and during our trip!

  • 5 of 5

The property was beautiful, spacious, and private with a great location to hiking, walking and biking trails. It was easy to walk downtown for shopping and eating out.

The 2 mile hike to the top of Royal Mountain is a must for the outdoor enthusiast.

Frisco is a quaint, easy to navigate mountain town with everything needed for a great vacation. The proximity to Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Leadville make this location ideal.

Fabulous "cabin" in downtown Frisco!

  • 5 of 5

2 families (4 adults and 5 teenage kids) enjoyed Mt Royal Lodge last week. The house is awesome -- big kitchen and open floorplan, with living spaces upstairs and down, so that we never felt on top of each other. 1 block off of Main St., less than a block away from the Frisco bikepaths and easy access to hiking trails of Mt. Royal and surrounding trails -- location is amazing! While close to town, still a bit secluded -- we even had 2 moose in the backyard with us one morning! Lots of board games provided, TVs in every room, and bikes provided as well. Gas grill and charcoal grill available. 2 slight drawbacks, but still a great house -- 1 is that the hot tub is indoors -- just doesn't provide the same type of experience when you are soaking in a small room instead of outdoors in the fresh air, and the 2nd is that you do hear some of the traffic from Main St, but really only from 1 bedroom. Overall, a GREAT house and one that I'd recommend to others traveling.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review! Glad you got to see moose:) We did get a new hot tub a few years back that people have been raving about, but yes it is indoors…for all season use. We like to open the slider door which helps making it more indoor / outdoor. Come visit us again.

Fabulous, Comfortable Home, in Classic Rockies Style - Recommend!

  • 5 of 5

Firstly, great prompt and immediate help and service from the owner. Thanks!

Built in classic Rockies log home style this home is a true classic built of the largest logs. Well-furnished, well maintained, clean and well supplied.

The great room with its high ceiling and full height stone fire is very attractive, spacious and relaxing. The hot tub with all its bells and whistles, including what looked like a fountain, was a huge hit with my children and grandchildren.

The master bedroom is spacious and the bed very comfortable and no complaints from the rest of the family. My grandchildren loved the huge natural log bunk beds.

The Wi-Fi was solid, reliable, had excellent coverage, and reasonably fast.

Heated garages in the mountains in the winter they excellent, enabling you to not only stay out of the elements, but allows you to dry your skis etc. overnight, without having to drag them into the house. This home is warm and cosy, despite its size.

As we were with small kids, the washing machine and dryer were so valuable!

Location comments:

1. This home is a short easy level walk from the main street shops and restaurants. Easy walk every morning to a choice of local cafés for caffeine. Easy walk with the little ones, to the nearest steak house.

2. Yet the house is located at the end of a small street offering quiet and privacy.

3. Frisco is a gem with a pretty main street. Being away from the actual ski towns, it is quieter and more “real”, with space, and none of the crush and noise of the large ski resorts.

4. Yet, it is centrally located within an easy drive to the main resorts. The owner also suggested that as we were with children we try Cooper Ski (not to be confused with Copper Mountain). He was so right. Smaller, quieter, family friendly, a great kids ski school, and best of all we were able to park within about 50 yards of the ski lifts – great when you have the little ones.

5. Facilites. The local lake is very pretty. Frisco Adventure park with its snow tubing. Snowmobiling near Cooper. (with great kids snow mobiles!).

The only inconvenience we experienced during our stay, was probably because as it was at the end of the winter season, a number of lights failed, and although there were a few spares provided, it was a nuisance.

My overall impression after our stay is that I would highly recommend this rental and feel this would also be a great place to bring the three generations of family in the summer!

Great House

  • 5 of 5

Very nice property! We had a large group for a skiing outing in February. The house was in immaculate condition. No problems during our stay. The hot tub was nice after a long day skiing. All the beds are comfortable. The heated garage was a nice touch. Very convenient location, easy to get to multiple mountains, and plenty of good restaurants in town. I would stay here again!
