Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5

My family spent five days at this house in Havre de Grace so that we could attend my son's wedding nearby. Everyone was comfortable and the house had everything we needed. I especially loved the sunroom each morning for my "quiet time" before we started our busy day. I love old homes because they have so much character and this home has been updated but still retains the feel of another time. My only complaint is that we didn't have more time to discover all the great shops and restaurants that were within walking distance. This is really a beautiful area and we hope to come back again soon.

Grand Victorian in Havre de Grace

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our two weeks in this lovely lady near the bay. The porch is so nice and you can usually catch a breeze even on the warmest days. The kitchen is updated and there are plenty of dishes and supplies if you want to cook. There are placemats and tablecloths as well. Beds and bedding are comfortable. We requested a vacuum, broom and iced tea pitcher and they were there within 24 hours -- thank you Melania and Millie! Like other reviewers, we made the trek to the basement to shower -- I did bathe in the big tub upstairs a couple of evenings but it wasn't worth the trouble to try and shower up there. Most of the time it was just my husband and myself living there but we did have another couple stay for a long weekend and we all attended our son's wedding -- still no big deal to share the basement shower. The photos are accurate -- the original wood trim in the home is gorgeous. The Promenade, antique shops, restaurants and Bomboys ice cream (a must!) are all within walking distance. We would rent this home again!

Loved this house.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful 2 day stay at this beautiful house. We went for a local get away to Havre de Grace, from our home outside DC, and we felt that we were worlds away, so relaxed at this house. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated, every detail taken care of. Only minor drawback was that it was difficult to operate the shower in the jacuzzi tub upstairs. We hope to visit again.

The place is beautiful. However the AC is not sufficient and it's a little too hot for sleeping.

  • 3 of 5

Very nice place. Perfect location to the shops in HDG. It just needs a better AC as the rooms are a little too hot for sleeping comfortably (76). Too be fair it is 96 degrees outside, but then again for a summer vacation rental, you expect it to be hot some days. Overall, almost perfect.

Perfect for downtown Havre de Grace

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't ask for a better location to access downtown Havre de Grace and waterfront. Really enjoyed the nearby Tidewater Grille. The property is very nicely kept up and has that century old charm with radiator heating and such. The shower curtain around the jetted tub was not worth troubling with to take a shower so we just used the tub for baths and the shower in the basement for showers. Traffic on the facing street is a little noisy during the day, but is very quiet at night.
