A home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures just don't do this apartment justice. The place is just amazing inside. Well designed, well furnished and just chalked full of style. The owners certainly didn't skimp on amenities. From the thick and fluffy white towels to the great quilts and down comforters. Even the bathroom fixtures are amazing. There is plenty of room for storage in the closets and just every little thing you need is there as if you were home. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking utensils you'd need and some you didn't know you needed. This Fort Greene apartment is close to quaint places to dine, grocery stores, laundromats and parks to relax in. The owners are so helpful when it comes to recommending things in the area from restaurants to taxi services (which we appreciated greatly - Myrtle's was perfect!). Paul and Allen were available for questions and never hesitated to make sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be. I highly recommend Fort Greene Garden to anyone planning to stay in New York. If you want a place that's not in the hub of Manhattan, but close enough to get there with just a taxi or subway ride away Fort Greene Garden is the place for you. You will not be disappointed! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your amazing place! It was truly our home away from home!

Lovely apartment close to Manhattan

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is exactly how it looks on the photographs. Paul is friendly and we also met a very helpful and friendly concierge called Frank. We didn't require any help during our visit as everything in the apartment was in good working order and this was not our first trip to Newyork. It was a great home from home as we stayed for 9 nights and didn't fancy staying that long in a hotel. There is plenty of room for 4 people. the beds are comfy and there is plenty of spare linen and towels if you need them. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need and allowed us to cook for ourselves when we wanted to.The air conditioning in the bedrooms was great as we had a heatwave and things would have been very hot without it. It also kept the living area cool. The train station is a five minute walk away and allowed us to get straight into manhattan. The metro tickets we bought which lasted 7 days were only $33 each and were well worth the money as we could use the trains as much as we liked. Please note that there are a lot of stairs when using the underground system. Lots of stations do not have escalators or lifts so be prepared for stairs.Brooklyn is very clean and very safe with a great selection of shops and restaurants with a great variety of types of food.. We would definately stay again if in Newyork.

Outstanding in every way

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at several different sorts of accommodations in Brooklyn at least annually for several years. Paul's is by far our new first choice. The location in the Fort Greene area is perfectly situated, true; but the most critical thing for us when we travel is cleanliness. Paul's place is immaculate. Spotless. Secondly, everything works: doors open and close, locks lock, lights go on, shower works and water pressure is good, etc. And it felt reassuring that Paul met us personally when we arrived to show us where everything was and how things worked, and left us with contact information if we had any questions. Just a delightful experience.

We're looking forward to staying here again during our next trip to Brooklyn!

Great place, quiet, clean, comfy, convenient.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed several days and loved the place. It was very comfortable for the two of us plus our son who joined us for a few nights. Very convenient walk to either of two trains, and you can be in Manhattan quickly. There are several nice restaurants nearby. The owner was very nice and I'm sure he would have been available for us if we had needed anything. The kitchen well equipped and worked well for the few meals we cooked. I will definitely stay here again when I come to NYC.
