Walla Walla House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, large porches, adjacent Bunkhouse (Sleeps 6-12)

Conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Walla Walla, 'Strawberry Canyon Lodge' is part of more than 1,500 acres of private mountain property. The Lodge features three furnished bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and living area with large windows so that guests can enjoy the mountain scenery. A washer and dryer are provided for guest usage.

A large porch provides an outdoor living space for relaxing with a good book, having a barbecue or soaking in the the hot tub. Take your morning coffee to the porch, prop your feet up on the rails, smell the fresh air, listen to the creek flow by and say 'isn't life grand'!

With its private location the Lodge is the perfect romantic weekend getaway for two, several couples on a wine tasting weekend, or a great place to take the family for the Holidays or vacation.

For larger groups or families the adjacent Bunkhouse provides additional sleeping for six guests.

We invite our guests to hike the trails around the Lodge. There are gentle hikes beside a stream or choose a more aerobic route that provides awesome scenery.

Private horses are welcome, we have a corral adjacent to the Lodge. Mountain horseback trail rides provide an exceptional opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat and to view and become part of the tranquil environment that is unique to mountain landscapes.

About The Owner

My Great Grandmother homesteaded in this area in 1896 about one mile from Strawberry Canyon Lodge. To prove up on her homestead she developed a small hotel that featured sulfur bathes from a spring that was located on her property. My family has farmed and ranched in the Walla Walla area since that time. Walla Walla has a rich history that I am excited to share with visitors. Modern day life has become so hectic that I love to share the peace and quiet of the mountains. 'Have it all' come and visit our great down town area and then return to the Lodge for a soak in the hot tub, a view of the night sky filled with stars and a very restful night of sleep.

Charming cabin on a bubbling stream

  • 5 of 5

At Strawberry Canyon Lodge we found a homey and specious retreat for our family gathering that was tucked far enough away from everything yet close enough to anything we wanted to experience in Walla Walla - and unexpectedly arrived during the Frontier Days fair and rodeo. Our visit was more than a getaway - it was a journey into a gem of the Old West, surrounded with new vintage and warm, welcoming, rugged neighbors. We left refreshed, enchanted with the high plains, thrilled by the long mountain hikes and visited by wild turkeys and bears, knowing we're coming back soon. Thank you for maintaining such a perfect lodge, where every amenity was provided, and every need anticipated.

Perfect Mountain Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Just finished an amazing weekend at Strawberry Canyon lodge. We were looking to unplug from our busy lives and found the ideal setting. A paradise tucked away in the hills, perfect for privacy and solitude while being close to Walla Walla for anything you might need. The trails behind the lodge lead to spectacular views of the Blue Mountains and surrounding area. The owner is a delightful host and makes sure everything is taken care of – thank you Sheryl! Looking forward to a follow-up visit in the summer. Treat yourself to a relaxing stay at this wonderful lodge!

Great Thanksgiving retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful relaxed family Thanksgiving retreat at this wonderful cabin. We hiked the trails near by and followed animal footprints up the road. We used the hot tub daily. The extra bonus for me was I lost my boot when packing up our car and thought it was lost forever. My husband called and she found it and mailed it to us the next day. Very appreciative. She also went and got us a pan for roasting our turkey when we realized we forgot our at home. Very accommodating. Thank you

Great for visits to Whitman College

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a weekend at the cabin with our daughter who is a student at Whitman College and wanted a break from the dorms. The cabin is just far enough away to feel out of town and still close enough to return for a dinner reservation in town if you like. The layout is perfect and extremely comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with equipment and even some basic spices and condiments so our meal in was great. The gas grill on the front porch and the hot tub added to making this a real vacation break. I would certainly recommend this for any visitors to Whitman College who would like a comfortable place to stay with beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. Sheryl, the owner makes the check in and check out amazingly easy and she is very helpful in getting you situated and then leaving you alone to enjoy the beautiful lodge. We didn't use the bunk house but can easily imagine having a larger group out for a long weekend there as well. With the trails for hiking, the grounds for relaxing, and still easy access to wineries and town, you can't ask for much better. We will certainly be back again.

Mountain Beauty

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay at this beautiful cabin, and I can't wait to return! If you want total relaxation, beautiful views, cozy living arrangements, and watching the wild life, this lodge is the place to stay. BBQ, and hot tub are an added bonus to the already fully equipped kitchen, great bedrooms, nice bath, and comfortable recliners for napping, and watching movies. Step away from the hassles of everyday life, and step into" Strawberry Canyon Lodge", where memories are made!
