|Minimum Stay||3 - 42 nights|
DURING THE SUMER MONTHS I ONLY RENT SATURDAY TO SATURDAY. MIDDLE OF MAY TO THE MIDDLE OS SEPTEMBER.
The cottage is minutes away from Barefoot Landing (shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
It is an easy drive to outlet shopping, Broadway at the Beach, live theaters, golf courses, famous Calabash seafood restaurants, Little River fishing fleet and casino boats, and many more restaurant and attractions. Charleston is a popular day tri for many visitors. The popular shag clubs are nearby.
The cottage is nicely furnished and equipped with everything to make your vacation enjoyable.
You are located across the road from a section of the beach that is not crowded by local high rise hotels. You have a few of the water from the upstairs bedrooms and decks.
My family had a really nice stay at this adorable cottage. I'll start by saying that Gherig was very helpful as my mom uses oxygen and he let us have it delivered to his house and he had it waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage is adorable...just like the photos. What you find...great artwork, books to borrow, full kitchen with everything you need to cook, two great decks for lounging and a pool right outside when you don't want to go to the beach. We really needed a room downstairs for Mom and it was really nice that she could enjoy the whole downstairs and poolside without worrying about stairs. The beach is across two streets, but very easy to access. The stretch of beach is situated far enough between two hotel type places (that were crowded) but this beach was open and nice. It is within a short trip to the Grocery, restaurants and the Main Street amusement park. It was a bit of a hassle providing our own linens as we were traveling from Texas, but it worked out fine. I didn't give it an excellent because baseboards were a bit dirty,the upstairs toilet wasn't working properly (the chain came unhooked) and there was some kind of caterpillar web above the front door and every time we opened the screen, caterpillars fell down and got into the house. Aside from those silly things, the cottage is lovely!! I recommend this adorable place and would definitely return!!
The title pretty much says it all. The beach front is a good 500yd walk AFTER you cross Ocean Blvd but you get the perception that you have your own stretch of beach once you see how much beach you have. The kids got to run around and frolic with no worries of running into another beach goers personal space, so this is a definite plus.
We also arrived on "Black Biker Week" which is one of the busiest and loudest events at Myrtle but we were far enough north not to be constantly bothered by the high-revving engines riding around the strip; quite relaxing.
Overall, the house was very cozy and spacious. The community pool and the ability to grill on the house deck was was a blessing after a long day at the beach. Our only "gripes" were the balcony view was of a neighbors roof and Broadway at the Beach was a 25min drive from where we were.
Our family of 8 spent the week in this condo with our small dog during Spring Break and we LOVED it! It is much bigger than it looks, the decor is beautiful and the photos are just a glimpse of it's charm. Gehrig is a sweetheart and excellent at responding to questions. The pool is right outside the condo and the beach is just a short walk away. It is private and peaceful with Myrtle Beach just a short drive down 17. Thank you, Gehrig! We will be back next year!!
The Whitehouse Family
We loved being able to bring our family pet with us (way cheaper than boarding fees). The property was very clean and larger than the pictures showed. Nice back porch with picnic table. They even had a roll away bed in one of the closets. The owner was very prompt in answering our questions. I liked being able to walk the dog across the street from our house (it was wooded). The walk to the beach was a few streets away from the beach but hard to complain when the rent was so reasonable. A few items in the unit needed some repair but nothing that hindered our stay. I would definitely recommend you stay in this house. My kids loved the nearby beach carnival.
The main street area has several bars and clubs and dance bars for the shag.
You are close to Wilmington and Charleston. Both cities are within a day trip.
|Refundable damage deposit||$300|
During tourist season, I only rent for full weeks. Saturday to Saturday I do not provide linens. There are many companies that do. You can do a search for linen providers. The cost is usually 10 to 20 dollars a bed.
