The Owner purchased this house in 2004
From the outside, this property is very private with lush vegetation surrounding all sides. Inside, I have been remodeling bit by bit. The 325 square foot great room now has bamboo floors. The other common areas are all Italian tile. The kitchen is next on the remodeling list and should be completed by May, 2017. The outdoor hot and cold shower is a rarity even on the island.
This home is in a neighborhood and pretty safe all things considered.
I just wanted to let you know that you have a very beautiful home in Hauula, Hawaii. My family and I enjoyed every second of our stay at your home. The grandchildren played the video games and could not stay away from it. The coziness of your home was so very welcoming. We had a hard time leaving your place; three days were just too short. Even though the house was old and run down when I first saw it from the outside a week before we moved in, I immediately changed my mind of the outlook of your home when driving up to it and seeing Rodney your caretaker clean the yard. It made a tremendous difference. The yard really enhanced the house from the outside once it was cleaned.
Just to let you know, I was the only individual staying downstairs for three nights; apparently my dad and his wife did not stay with us, so I enjoyed it BIG TIME sleeping on that big plush bed and prior to going to bed watched TV in the downstairs living room. So basically there were a total of (9) nine of us staying in your home.
I wanted to let you know that there is a leak in the shower faucet downstairs; I tried my best to tighten the handle however the leak continued. Also the arm rest on one of the chairs at the dining room table was broken; and guess what, I was the one that was first introduced to it. I put my right forearm on it to rest and the handle immediately fell off. Before leaving your home (paradise) in Hauula, I advised Rodney of the oversights.
Again, thank you for allowing my family and I to stay at your very beautiful and cozy home with all the accessories that was provided. We all totally enjoyed it. It is close to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Kahe Point where I took the family to fish and the next day we walked to the beach with my grandchildren. It was a wonderful fulfilling vacation for all of us.
Our hula studio stayed at Wahi Pana and enjoyed the entire time! The neighborhood, the mountains, the peace and quiet of Hau'ula.
We spent the week exploring the Ko'olauloa and Ko'olaupoko area. Swam in the ocean and rivers of Kahana.
Memories for sure. Guaranteed a recommend for anyone.
We stayed at Wahi Pana in June of 2016 and had a great experience. My daughters, wife, and son in law stayed for 2 weeks and then traded off to my wife's parents for the remainder of the month. All had a great time. Unfortunately, all of our cell phones and wallets were stolen from our rental van while receiving surfing lessons at Chun's reef, 2 days into our vacation. (Take home: don't leave items in your car). The home's caretaker, Rodney, came to our rescue. He loaned us his cell and time on his home phone and offered numerous other services to help us rebound from a bit of a vacation nightmare. Can't say enough about him. Outstanding guy. The home easily met all our needs, but it was the service that saved our vacation. You can't go wrong staying in this wonderful home as the spirit of Aloha is alive here. Thanks again.
From the moment we walked into Wahi Pana this lovely house felt like home. The layout is perfect for any size group, feels cozy yet roomy at the same time. It is furnished comfortably, bedrooms are clean and very comfortable. The owner provided everything we needed for an adventurous stay on Oahu. This island is stunning with the mountains, waterfalls, gorgeous beaches and amazing sunsets. I enjoyed starting my day using the bikes that were provided; I was able to bike to many different beaches to enjoy gorgeous sunrises. There are wonderful hiking trails right out the door leading through lush, tropical forests. We enjoyed different beaches including Waimea (snorkeled with sea turtles), Shark Cove (incredible snorkeling with huge schools of colorful fish, coral, turtles), Sunset Beach, and the most beautiful beach I have ever been to in my life, Kailua, where we walked for miles in powder white sand. The owner provided excellent snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach mats, everything we could have possibly needed was provided. The north shore of Oahu is quiet and peaceful and the beaches were uncrowded. We had fun trying different food trucks, in the area for shave ice, fresh fruit smoothies, and Giovanni's for fresh shrimp. Our group enjoyed cooking together in the spacious kitchen, playing cards in the dining room, and enjoying the lush yard with a wide variety of tropical plants. It was a very relaxing trip, a comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood, and I look forward to returning. Mahalo!
I was fortunate to spend 5 nights here in May. Far from the hustle bustle of Waikiki, this house is a perfect spot for both relaxation and adventure on the north shore. There are many beaches nearby to choose from, each one with something to offer whether it's snorkeling, rock jumping, turtle viewing or just enjoying the beautiful turquoise water and surf. The house is very comfortable and roomy with all the amenities you need. Plus there are beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards and even a cooler for the beach. We cooked many meals at home and the kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed relaxing in the great room, planning our day and then hanging there at the end of the day. All in all, we had wonderful stay here and will return for sure.
This is my second visit to Wahi Pana and once again it met with all of my expectations. It was such a wonderful week spent here that we didn't want it to end. The house is so comfortable that it slept all 6 of us so perfectly. We love the big kitchen and after our days on the beaches it was such a treat to chill and relax and have a great gathering spot to laugh and talk about our day. We love the coziness of the place and it has great seating and couldn't have accommodated us any better. We feel like were in a giant treehouse with the lush surroundings and location wise it is PERFECT. Easy to get to the beaches all over Oahu and we tried a different one out each day. We did the big jump at WAIMEA and had a great day snorkeling at Shark Cove. The beauty of Kailua Beach with its gorgeous water took our breaths away. Had a fun day in Haleiwa and enjoyed all the sea turtles and the charm of the area.
After our busy days, Wahi Pana was such a treat to return to. It truly was our home away from home and had every thing we needed to make our week a perfect one! The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the beds perfect for a good nights rest.
Craig and Rodney were very helpful and made sure that everything was taken care of for us. It is extra nice having a washer and drier AND all of the items in the storage shed were used daily. It is a great way to spend a fabulous week in paradise. The North Shore is a magical experience and a charm all of its own. Breathtaking views wherever we went.
I would highly, highly recommend this special house as a place where memories are made and adventures begin. Mahalo Wahi Pana....until we meet again. :)
My wife and I were so pleased we chose this fantastic home for our honeymoon, couldn't have asked for more! Plenty of space for multiple couples or a large family gathering. Space for all to relax, both inside and out. The location was wonderful and surrounded by beauty. Hiking, biking, beach time (very quick walk) were all just minutes away. My personal favorite part...THE OUTDOOR SHOWER! Just amazing. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Craig and Rodney for a memorable and magnificent stay in paradise!
