The Dolphin Hale is a beautiful home that provides the ocean views and elbow room you crave to make your island stay a real vacation. And to ensure your stay is full of Aloha, we have retained one of the best property managers on island, Ms. Yen Upson of Elite Pacific Properties, to serve as your host.

At nearly 4,000 square feet, The Dolphin Hale is a non-smoking executive bluff home possessing wonderful ocean views and an open floor plan. The home features 5 actual bedrooms, 4.5 baths, two living rooms, a dining area, gourmet chef's kitchen, spa and NEW Weber barbecue. Among the creature comforts, The Dolphin Hale touts Smart Flat Screen TVs, USB ports, and Comfort Height toilets. Moreover, The Dolphin Hale sleeps up to 10 in real beds--no futons or sofa-sleepers here! The jewel of this home is the new gourmet kitchen and island serving as a great place for casual breakfasts or Happy Hour!

Located in the master-planned community of Princeville, guests of The Dolphin Hale also will appreciate its proximity to the Princeville shopping center, golf courses and The St Regis Hotel--all within walking distance of the house. In addition, there is a jungle path to the private Kaweonui Beach that can be hiked, but caution is advised when wet. Further, the world famous Hanalei Beach Park is just minutes away by car and is well worth a visit.

Upon returning to The Dolphin Hale after your day trip to any one of the numerous island attractions, relax in the 115-jet spa off the lower lanai, or have drinks and barbecue on the upper lanai--both overlooking the ocean. I recommend this place!!

We rented this home for 7 of us for a family vacation. This house is as shown in the pictures. It was very clean and very well stocked. I don't think that I can list all the items that the house had, but pretty much everything that we looked for, we found! Examples: scissors, bottle openers, soaps of all kinds; plenty of tissues, toilet paper and paper towels; lots and lots of beach towels; bath towels and linens; lots of dishes, pots and cutlery; some bicycles to use (check the tire pressure before you head out! there is a hand pump there if you need it...), a garden hose handy for washing off sandy feet and fins outside after returning from the beach, etc. etc. All appliances worked well.

The house is located in a quiet, respectable neighbourhood. There is a beautiful local beach nearby which is only accessible through a short footpath, and therefore is semi-private. It was great for swimming and snorkelling! (Be aware this beach does not have a lifeguard, and locals said sometimes there are dangerous currents here - may not be suitable for children - our group consisted of all adults who are good swimmers and safety aware. There are other supervised beaches nearby, accessible by vehicle.) The house is located in Princeville, and sometimes the drive to some Kauai activities seemed a bit far, but once we were "back home", we appreciated the house's large size and amenities.

The house has two full master suites, one smaller suite, as well as 2 other bedrooms which share a common bathroom. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us. The kitchen and living areas are very spacious, so we never felt cramped or like we were bumping into one another. There is a little nook on the main floor for anyone who would just like to curl up with a book while others are playing cards in the living room! The large dining room table seated us all comfortably, with still more bar chairs at the kitchen island for those sipping a drink and watching the cooking going on.

While I thought that the rental price of this house was a little steep, the adage, "you get what you pay for", applies. This house was worth every penny! We didn't encounter any trouble during our stay. I would recommend this place.

It was a beautiful house with sweeping views of the ocean, but it had little else to offer—we were even expected to bring our own sheets?! So, when it came time to stock The Dolphin Hale, we wanted to ensure our guests did not go without the creature comforts that make a house a home. We are pleased to know we succeeded. Fantastic Villa and Owner

Had a fabulous time at The Dolphin, Very close to the St Regis Hotel and 2 minutes form Food Land and restaurants.

The villa was immaculate and very well organized. Excellent wi-fi, beautiful views and a stunning kitchen. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and slept 10 people very comfortably.

The owner Tammy was a pleasure to communicate with, so accommodating and friendly! So many nice small touches in the villa were appreciated, like a bottle of red and white wine in the wine fridge and even a bottle of prosecco too!

The garage also had wake boards, bikes and plenty of beach equipment.

The only thing missing was A/C, however, there are plenty of windows that allow a nice sea breeze to pass through the entire villa.

In regard to A/C, I would like to share a few facts here for folks who may have a mainland mindset on this subject. With highs on Kauai typically maxing out in the mid-80s and the cost of electricity doubling that of the national average, A/C actually is a rare amenity in residential island homes. Vacation Rentals that do offer any kind of A/C (usually swamp coolers) must charge guests a premium just to keep them maintained and running. As is, The Dolphin Hale does have ceiling and portable fans throughout the home as well as the many windows you mentioned for the comfort of our guests. ~ Mahalo, Tammy

Great Place - Awesome House

This was our 4th time staying at the Dolphin Hale. The latest updates improved an already spectacular home. The new kitchen is much better placed in the house with great views while preparing meals. The new secondary master suite is also an impressive update. The house is perfectly located on a quiet street with incredible ocean views. Close to the golf course, close to the local private beach, and close to the local shops and restaurants within Princeville. This location is also good for access to many island amenities such as horse back riding, zip lines, ATVs, botanical gardens, hiking trails, Hanalei, and oh the beaches and snorkling spots. WOW! I did not think the house could get better and the Owners raised the bar again. Bring friends as there is lots of room. This is absolutely the best option for a house on Kauai.

Amazing! The house was perfect for our vacation. There was 8 of us and the house was spacious, clean, updated, everything worked perfectly! The views are beautiful!! The house is conveniently located to the stores and beaches. We all had a great time and would definitely come back!

Pictures are accurate!

We spent our Thanksgiving Holiday here and had a great time. The house on the inside look just like the pictures! Which is nice! The kitchen was great because it was nice and big. There were 9 of us, 3 couples, 3 children and everyone loved it. It was nice how the almost all the bedrooms except 1 were on the basement level. The hot-tub was not working when we got there, they responded to our email quickly. However, they would send the hot tub guy over, he did not fix or did not show. My husband was able to fix it because it was fuse... So not a big deal for us. Had a great time - and cooked a ton in the kitchen! The dining room table was nice and big so that was nice for us to get to sit together! Would stay at this house, or other houses by the same owners... Thanks so much, it was great vacation from the Midwest.

We certainly would welcome you and yours back to The Dolphin Hale. Although, we would ask that you not take it upon yourselves next time to perform any repairs--the safety of our guests is of utmost importance to us. The good news is that the spa itself was the only victim here. [The slo blo 20 amp 250 volt ceramic fuse required for the spa is not one that may be purchased that the local ACE hardware store. Had our spa repairman not been ill with the flu, he might have saved us all from one big headache. The fuse used ultimately caused a surge that fried the circulation pump and spa heater. It would be another 3 weeks before all the parts would arrive on island at a cost of $2000 (parts and labor) as well as some unhappy guests.] As they say, no good deed goes unpunished. - Mahalo, The Rices

Amazing Princeville 5 bedroom Rental Home

This was our second two week stay at The Dolphin Hale, we were here two years ago for two weeks as well. The remodel work has really made the home special. The new kitchen is excellent, commercial gas stove is easy to use, new wine cooler refrigerator, gigantic sink and what a view now from the kitchen! The new gas grill is excellent for grilling fresh fish, nice consistent heat and it will grill at lower temperatures as well as high temperatures.

They also added an upstairs bathroom, great improvement and very handy.

They added a new bedroom on to the lower level that has a sliding door to the hot tub. The new bathroom/shower is beautiful and functional.

They also added a carport which came in handy on our last day as it was raining when we loaded the car.

TDH comes well stocked with plenty of hand soap and dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper.

When we arrived there was a broken window from the previous occupants, two days later the repair people replaced it while we were out for the day. Great service and response time!

We used the beach gear almost every day, chairs, mats and plenty of beach towels.

We only occupied three of the five bedrooms but there is plenty of space for a group of ten. The living area upstairs can easily accommodate ten at the dinner table and the deck is very large for everyone to enjoy the humpback whales playing in the bay!

Thank you and we highly recommend this beautiful and functional vacation home!
