Beautiful lake house located on Rush Lake on central Minnesota's coveted Whitefish Chain. Completely renovated in 2005, this 1500 sf four bedroom cabin has plenty of room and plenty of charm to go with it. Knotty pine interior and rustic furnishings give you the up north, cozy feel you desire.

Gopher Getaway

  • 5 of 5

A large group of friends and I organized a college reunion up at this cabin. The property is exactly as described! Fully equipped and comfortable for our large group. We rented a pontoon from a nearby marina and had a great weekend. The owner was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. The best part of the property (aside from the house itself) is the location. The Wharf is just a stone's throw away and the cabin's location in a small bay off the larger lake is wonderful. Could not have asked for a better home for the weekend!

Great property, well furnished and maintained.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice property, well maintained and furnished. Location is ideal - access is easy from the highway, with quick access to Pequot Lakes and Nisswa. Restaurant behind the property is a quick walk, and was wonderful for breakfast, coffee, or an evening nightcap. We roasted marsh mellows with grand-kids around the fire pit. They loved feeding bread to baby pan-fish from the dock, and the swing set and jungle gym on the property as well. Nice patio with gas grill was wonderful for dinner. Owner is responsive and helpful. We will certainly look forward to renting this property again soon!

Perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

Hard to complain when on the whitefish chain of lakes. This house was cozy and that is a good thing. The family was able to find quiet spots but mostly enjoyed the lakes and great evening activities by the firepit or at the table playing cards. This kitchen was more than enough to make all meals or go over to Zorbaz for an excellent pizza! The house manager was over a couple of times to clean up from a recent storm - what a nice and helpful guy!!! All in all a great experience - we would definitely come back.

We recently returned from our second family vacation stay at this beautifully decorated four bedroom/two bath home on the shore of a peaceful Rush Lake bay, part of the magnificent Whitefish chain of lakes in northern Minnesota.

Before planned rental home arrival, we enjoyed beverages on the deck of The Wharf, a nearby bar/restaurant, sharing levity and gazing at leisure and sport craft parade through the adjacent channel or perhaps make a pit stop. Other dining establishments are also accessible by water.

The pictured screened in porch offers a picturesque view of the bay and is our preferred family gathering place on morning awakening with cup in hand as well as for relaxation before evening eye closure. A nicely landscaped patio complete with fire pit is just below, a perfect spot for after dinner "S'mores". A private dock complete with an adjacent canopy for boat coverage if desired as well as sandy beach beckon.

Communication with owner Michele is very pleasant and responsive by Email or phone if necessary as is the local property manager.

In summation, "two enthusiastic thumbs up".

Great Girls Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year renting this great cabin. My girlfriends and I want to make this a yearly trip at this exact cabin because we love it so much. The cabin is very clean and cozy. I like that it has a separate wing for the bedrooms for the early risers of the group. The cabin is stocked with anything you might need (kitchen wise), beds are super comfortable as well. The outside has a great fire pit with great landscaping! For those with young kids there is a swing set and small beach by the dock.

Us girls spent the weekend on the dock, which is large in size, we all fit with room to spare. There is a boat lift if you plan on bringing your own boat up as well. It also has a weed roller around the dock so you can swim weed-free. The screened in porch is nice to keep the bugs away, although we didn't have an issue this year with mosquitos.

It's an added bonus where the cabin is located, which is walking distance from the Wharf restaurant/bar- which is also located on the water. We ate dinner and breakfast there a couple times (great food!!), we also enjoyed a night out there. We love the proximity, especially for going with a larger group, if we want to split up it's no big deal and a safe walk home. :)

Definitely consider renting this cabin, it's AWESOME!! The pictures really don't do it justice.

Great place to relax and enjoy the day.

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 2 sons and their wives, and 4 grandchildren all stayed for a week at this property. The bedrooms were set up perfectly so each family had their own spot. The grandchildren were ages 2 - 4 and they loved the playground, the sand area at the top by the house and the beach area. The WeedRoller really helped so they could be in the water without the weeds. The fire pit was great and for the nights we wanted to be inside, the 3 season porch was perfect. We have been going to the Whitefish chain for over 15 years and we always need a spot off the main lake for our deck boat so it doesn't get beat up and this spot was perfect for that. During the middle of the week we had a wind advisory and did not take the boat out but was able to enjoy sitting on the dock watching the kids play in the water. The dock was also perfect for coffee in the morning to start the day.
