About the property

3 bedrooms upstairs, bunk room downstairs, 3 full baths, sleeps 12

The Point Vacation Lake House offers spectacular open-water views of beautiful Lake LBJ. The Point has it all : 300 feet of waterfront on Lake LBJ, covered boat dock with electric lift for your boat, fishing pier, outdoor fire pit, covered deck and porch with incredible views of the lake, and a wonderful, clean, shallow swimming area.

'The Point' lake house gets its name from its location at the farthest point out on a peninsula on Lake LBJ, giving it one of the most beautiful lake views of any home in the area. If you are looking for the perfect lake house, you have just found it.

The Point underwent a massive remodel and upgrade in 2005. It sleeps 12 comfortably. Upstairs has three bedrooms, 2 full baths, living room, dining area, and kitchen upstairs. Downstairs has a large open room with 4 twin beds, one bunk bed, a living area, and Foosball table in addition to a full bath and utility room with washer and dryer. The enclosed garage has a ping pong table.

Guest Comments: 'AWESOME TIME! My family and friends had a wonderful experience this past weekend. You have a fantastic home with the accommodations I expect and want when out of town. Weather was great, fishing was good but most of all we just enjoyed each others company.' H.C. - Ft. Worth

'We really had a great time at the lake house. The house was great and the view exceeded our expectations. Our kids had a great time fishing and hanging out on the hammock. Our entire group was impressed with the home and it made the experience one to remember. We plan on coming back. You all have done a really nice job decorating and including all the comforts of home.' J. B. – Flower Mound

'We really enjoyed the house and hope to come back sometime in the future. The kids had a great time playing in the nice big yard and fishing – they caught 4 different kinds of fish from the piers! The bunk room was also very nice for them. We really liked the common areas in the house. The openness of the kitchen/dining/den leaves lots of room for everyone to visit without being crowded. And the kitchen was top-notch! The beds were comfy – everything was perfect!' S. P. – Houston

Guestbook comments from the owner

It was great. The whole family agreed it was our favorite. So nice to have everything so available, and not have to run to the store for everything. Kids and adults all had a good time. We all loved playing ping pong. We rented kayaks from "Just Yakin" and they delivered and picked them up. We enjoyed cooking and having most of our meals there, and really didn't want to leave for anything. We felt we had the best place on the lake. We all really appreciated having the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful, comfortable and peaceful place.

Lovely home on Lake LBJ

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this home. The sleeping arrangements with three bedrooms upstairs and the bunk room downstairs with separate shower, two sinks and large vanity were awesome for our group. The kitchen was well stocked and we found everything easily. We had plenty of space for everyone to cook and eat together. We enjoyed the outdoors and the swimming areas around the house. The decks and the hammocks were an additional bonus. We were happy we brought our large, outdoor shop fan on the couple of days when the temperatures were high and the breeze faded. Afternoons and evenings were particularly nice outside. I recommend this property for family or other groups who need space to be together as well as separate!

Great Time Two Years in a Row!

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Point. The view from the house was wonderful and access to water couldn't have been better. When we arrived the house was clean, and everything we needed for the week was included.

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing with 360 views of the lake. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The instructions and communication with Brian was very clear which I really appreciated. I wouldn't mind coming back to this house every year! BEAUTIFUL home!

The Point- Granite Shoals

  • 4 of 5

Our family of senior adults, siblings and spouses, had a fabulous time at this clean, fully stocked house for a weekend retreat. The accommodations were excellent and the view was out of this world perfect with 180 degree views of the lake which is why they call it "The Point". The stairs were a little challenging for those with knee issues but the spacious living area and kitchen made up for any inconvenience.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your stay and response. I believe our lake house is a special place. 2/3rds of the living space is on the upstairs level accessible by an outside stairway only. So it is advisable that all guests have the ability to climb and descend the stairway.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I want to share that Lake LBJ is a constant level lake and is always full with the exception of once every three to five years, LCRA who controls the lake lowers the lake about six feet for a few weeks in the winter to allow for dock repairs, etc. It was lowered during Melvin's stay and he was informed by the owner that this would be happening in advance.

Lake LBJ is the largest constant level lake in Texas. This means you will always be right on the water's edge at The Point Vacation Lake House. Our home is located in the small town of Granite Shoals. There is a small country store and cafe just down the road for your convenience. You are only 7 miles from Historic Marble Falls. Marble Falls' Main Street is reminiscent of a bygone era with old thick stone buildings, antique shops, local restaurants and boutiques. All the modern conveniences like HEB grocery store, Wal-mart, famed Bluebonnet Cafe and many other restaurants. Rockhopper's Pizza & Golf and movie theater are here as well. Additional short scenic drives in the area take you to Kingsland, Inks Lake, Lake Buchanan, Lake Marble Falls, Longhorn Caverns, Camp Longhorn, Granite Beach Water Park, Sweet Berry Farms and 3 local wineries.

There are several acclaimed public and semi-private golf courses nearby including Horseshoe Bay, Legends, Delaware Springs, and Hidden Falls.
